  3. Welcome! Thank you! Do you know if there are any episodes of Guten Morgen Mallorca available anywhere? I haven't found any. I guess these Y&R episodes were already available, but they were recently put on Archive. https://archive.org/details/the-young-the-restless-february-9-1988-most https://archive.org/details/the-young-the-restless-february-10-1988-most
  4. I know this is not something serious to complain about, but it really annoys me when I go to the White House Youtube channel and see thousands and thousands of downvotes on any videos. I loathed Trump and I never did that. It's just cheap and sad.
  5. Everything with McConnell and Trump is theater. McConnell can go cry into his millions, while Trump gets endless gushing media coverage and pining. It's another way to keep him in the news and build more steam for the lie that the GOP is somehow split or a big tent.
  6. I believe she was, yes.
  7. This isn't that great, but it's an old anthology horror show written by longtime soap scribes Mel and Ethel Brez, with a juicy, bitchy part for Julie Harris.
  8. It's alright - the only reason I would even complain is because Murphy is so uniquely horrible to me and has been since Nip/Tuck (such a vile, bigoted, misogynist show that has been memory holed). RTD's comments after killing Ianto are along the lines of a Murphy type of delusion and defensiveness, anyway.
  9. I don't think he is anywhere on Ryan Murphy's level, but I just have had my fill of a producer who goes out of his way to tell stories about gay men being miserable and dying horribly being treated as the go-to on the subject. I also think he is very heavy-handed with his political writing, which is, along with the gay tropes he loves, the reason I have not watched Years and Years.
  10. Anyone (I don't mean anyone here) who is waiting on a split or reckoning for the GOP is in for a very long wait, IMO. In other news: I keep waiting to hear more smugging from those mutants like Joe Rogan and Elon Musk. Wretched as he is, Ben Shapiro had the right idea to not relocate to a state that is so paper thin underneath the posturing.
  11. And he does so by making a show all about gay characters dying of AIDS...
  12. When I made my earlier posts about this I did not know Ducklo has stage 4 lung cancer, which apparently leads to irrational behavior. Knowing that I can understand more why the White House was more hesitant on what to do.
  13. The part about Beverlee flooring JFP always gets attention but the part about her giving the wardrobe head advance notice because of their friendship doesn't get as much notice. If JFP had been kinder to Beverlee then the whole thing might not have happened. Sadly she took the wrong lesson from this and it ended up tainting her time in the industry.
  14. We already have a Trump Party. It's not fair, but that's basically his life story. He does whatever he wants and gets a pass. I think we underestimate how miraculous it was that he even lost. That is the closest we will ever get to a reckoning for him. The hard work is still to come, but so much has happened since November that we never really got to take that moment in. Schumer is getting most of the backlash, but then I'm not really sure what other options there are. Some are calling for Warren, which is not going to happen, and others are trying to push the AOC primary Schumer fantasy again (she would lose in a landslide and destroy her image). I don't really know who should or shouldn't be blamed, other than Manchin and Sinema, but it just reminds me again of how consistently Senate Democrats let the side down in terms of strategy and being out of touch.
  15. He was, yes. They did use that to cause some professional tension for Margo, but it would have been more interesting if he had stuck around and bonded more with her when she returned to Oakdale after the recast, when she felt a bit on the outs and Dawn was falling in love with Tom. Dana was hilarious, yes. I hate to say it but the actress reminded me of a Fraggle. Daryl also had a baby with Barbara and had had a fling with Connor. It was just too much - a type of overwriting that signaled Marland's slow loss of the economy of his pen.
  16. I think that people put much more importance on the idea of the trial being "painful" for Republicans than the public does. It isn't going to be painful for them because they are soulless. I think people were waiting and waiting for a moment of reckoning that was never going to arrive and will never arrived. It's just going to take a lot of painful, ugly work to scrape through each coming election, thanks to gerrymandering, voting regression, and a media that hate us and want us to suffer, and the impeachment and impending acquittal were never going to change that. Most of the public have moved on. Speaking of people who hate us and don't seem to be going away:
  17. I don't remember if it was ever really said - I think she may have chosen to leave because she was barely used by the end, which would be more mutual. That is what Kassie meant, yes. She probably felt she had a more firm place on the canvas with Philip rather than with Johnny.
  18. I do think she should have lived a few months longer, through more of Dana's pregnancy. I wonder if Marland would have kept her alive longer if he had known the story would stretch two years.
  19. I see that episode has a brief glimpse of Maeve Maguire during her period temping as Lisa. Nice to see a glimpse of early Connor, and of Carolyn. And Darryl when he was wearing his Merchant/Ivory mustache to seem more roguish. I know a lot of people here don't like Rex Smith's work but I thought he did fine in the role. It just wasn't a very well-written part.
  20. Kassie said after leaving that Blake took all her story and role on the canvas.
  21. Also on Somerset. Very sad news. I know it's just aging and time but the last few years have been rough for Dark Shadows actors.
  22. I watched the latest episode, and (no spoilers) does anyone have some time jump at about 5 minutes and 15 seconds in? If not it must just be my connection. It's in the middle of a conversation between Wanda and Vision.
