  1. Politico is the most blatant, but they just draw attention away from these disinformation efforts all across the board. Here is another:
  2. @Vee already posted it on the last page. Sorry. Stein and that ilk are who control the narrative in this country, or does their best to come close, anyway. It's both sad and deeply disturbing. They just won't stop. That they are also playing into the homophobia that !@#$%^&*] Carlson and others are pushing is not a surprise - they would have queer people in camps tomorrow if it got them one more Trump speech to cover.
  3. This is a pretty decent (aside from a little at the end) episode of the Evil Touch co-starring Alfred Sandor, who was one of the fill-in Sheriff Pattersons.
  4. After Jo Cox in 2016, another MP has been assassinated.
  5. It's certainly time to stop kicking the can down the road - that time was many months ago. But I guess Manchin and Sinema's donors have gotten what they wanted, which is a lot of people suffering and dying at the feet of big business.
  6. If they think Sinema won't vote down the bill, I am not sure why. That type of situation, with endless media attention, would be her dream come true.
  7. Given how many years it took Strictly, I could see it happening here as well, but both shows are completely hollowed out and overproduced to the point of parody at this point. The main difference is that Strictly at least had the decency to only spend one year trying to rehab a far right figure. DWTS doing this over and over and over and over is one of the reasons I quit.
  8. I think Vee meant the publication, which has gone badly downhill in the last year (after their Afghanistan screeds I stopped entirely).
  9. Yes, it's not surprising to see the media rushing to praise Irving, as they do any anti-vaxx figure. I have mostly just seen right wing figures talking about this story (that includes David Lat, unless he has changed over the years), which is unfortunate, because, while this is not a pressing issue, I do think it's important as a reminder of how much certain journalists try to play god. Katie Couric has decided to try to sell books by confessing to not fully publishing some of the comments RBG made about Colin Kaepernick kneeling.
  10. I don't think music is the reason. As @amybrickwallace mentioned, Ciji does not arrive until season 4. Falcon Crest I am not even sure got a release past season 1, and they didn't have a music rights problem. Sadly I just don't think there was enough interest. J Eddie Peck is one of the few (maybe the only) person I thought Rebecca Budig had chemistry with.
  11. Barring a trove somewhere, not much. Here is one:
  12. Self-own 101.
  13. I think Levy still appeared into the late '90s. I agree that he had some sex appeal, similar to Cutter. GL generally did a better job with their cop characters in that respect than the other soaps.
  14. Our latest example of gutless senators hiding behind Manchin and/or Sinema.
  15. I do like Bob, but I'd rather see her with someone else. Who, I am not sure. The male cast is in a state. (I will say, NOT Marlon - keep him with Rhona) James is one of the show's finest actors and Sam is a very rich character. It's sad to see the state of him. If he feels this strongly, he should leave his job.
  16. @Vee you are right, it is exactly like that DAYS scene. I hadn't thought about it until now. I have little emotional attachment to those characters on DAYS so I could just laugh. I think if I didn't care about what JFP did to the show I would not be as sour about this clip - parts do crack me up. Maeve Kinkead saves the baby stuff for me, but it is ridiculous otherwise. I'm just glad this is not a few years later, where Laibson/McTavish would have had Roger throw baby Peter out the window, von Stroheim style.
  17. I agree. Irene never seemed to get to be that Liz. The closest I can see is a few of the moments where she tore into Sharlene when she found out Josie was Russ' daughter.
  18. When Ferguson was asked about her time as Brooke, she said she was lucky, because she happened to be there at a time when a big story was climaxing for Brooke. I do wonder if they may have timed it that way to send a message to KKL.
  19. I was nostalgically watching an old Onion video or two from when they actually had money to make videos (thanks, Facebook...) and came upon one I hadn't seen before. Soon my response was, holy [!@#$%^&*], isn't that Alice Barrett as the mother??? Maybe I'm wrong. You can decide. I think Willis, Janice, and then that unfortunate anniversary return for Gwen are the only times.
  20. Lemay seemed to want to reset some of this when he returned to the show, as there was a scorching scene of Rachel berating Liz and casting her out (with Liz sobbing in Mac's arms, I believe) after Liz's hatred for the Frames led her to accidentally tell Matthew about his conception.
