DAYS: October 2024 Discussion Thread
Why does this have me close to tearing up? (Cause I'm part water sign) One of the best things of the last decade or so has been her heightened presence. It'll be bittersweet to watch her and all the returnees for Doug's memorial, but hopefully this means she'll continue to a constant for the next regime, too.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I'd have him find out and start a campaign to kick the Dingles out of the village once and for all. Adam would return from being on the run and finally feeling guilty enough to be a good mother, Moira takes the rightful rap for Emma's death. Then proceed with an Adam/Victoria/Daz Eden triangle! And so many more characters would return that belong on the show. Joe, Viv, Terry back from the dead, Kathy, Matt, Dolly, Andy, Robert, Sandy, the forgotten Merrick (was his name Tommy?), one of Marian's children/grandchildren to be the new owners of The Woolpack, Emily to be the new Vicar, Scott, Kelly, Nikhil, Priya. The correct children associated with them. People of colour anywhere it can be achieved. Let's have a field day!

Absolutely, and anyone connected to them. Sorry Moira and Rhona. You may be great actresses, but I've had enough. Did Bob ever find out Cain's part in his daughter's death?

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
You're right, it's probably less. Just improv'ed the math of it all. Eric, Kim, Victoria (I know some dislike Isabel Hodgins now, but I haven't watched in years so she's still good with me), Bob, Rodney, Laurel, Nicola, Jimmy, Gabby, Brenda, Jacob. That's 11 out of 55 regulars. So 20%. I was close actually . If the show went back to 2 episodes a week, I'd have no trouble at all. Though superficially, I love Jay Kontzle!

DAYS: October 2024 Spoilers
It's a true tragedy someone as hot as hell and in the prime of their life as Al Calderon is going to be wasted on a rotted nuisance pushing 50. I just hope by the time the new regime finally kicks in, all hope won't be lost.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
She's the most dynamic actress/character on the show. The fact they possibly want to kill her off is insane. Only clowns running things these days. I think I only care about a quarter of the cast now.

Sad to hear. Thanks for letting us know.

DAYS: R.I.P. Drake Hogestyn (John Black, Days of our Lives)
Would it be overshadowing to have Dick Van Dyke return for John's memorial? I wonder how they'll reference his character at all. I would at least have him be an off-screen presence.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
The talk about who could lead to show made me realize Eric Martsolf is older now than Macdonald Carey was when the show started, which is a bit of a mindfreak. Of course, if we're going by that the character that should have been poised to take that mantle is Dr. Mike Horton. It's so said TPTB on most shows struggle with the characters that are "supposed" to take over. It rarely ever happens properly.

Soap Hoppers: The Soap Actors And Roles Thread
The editing issue is ridiculous. Anyway, thank you finishing my latest batch of requests amidst all the others, especially with the loss of this past week. Since you add so much to profiles now, I'll request by 5, instead of 10, as I go through the DAYS actors cast list. Next requests: Jeffrey Williams Brian Andrews Nadyne Turney Victor Holchak John Amour

The Classic Film Thread
I've finally completed my thorough watch of silent films up to the year 1919, and since I finished the first full decade of feature films, I thought it'd be fun to share my choices for the would be Academy Awards ... Best Picture 1911: DANTE'S INFERNO (L'Inferno) - dir. Francesco Bertolini, Adolfo Padovan (ITL) 1912: FROM THE MANGER TO THE CROSS - dir. Sidney Olcott (CAN) 1913: ATLANTIS - dir. August Blom (DEN) 1914: CABIRIA - dir. Giovanni Pastrone (ITL) 1915: THE BIRTH OF A NATION - dir. D.W. Griffith (USA) 1916: JOAN THE WOMAN - dir. Cecil B. HART (Hell's Hinges) 1917: VICTOR SJÖSTRÖM (A Man There Was) 1918: RAYMOND HATTON (The Whispering Chorus) 1919: ROMUALD JOUBÉ (J'accuse) Lead Actress: 1915: THEDA BARA (A Fool There Was) 1916: MARY MACLAREN (Shoes) 1917: MARY PICKFORD (The Little American) 1918: NORMA TALMADGE (The Forbidden City) 1919: LILLIAN GISH (Broken Blossoms) Supporting Actor: 1915: SESSUE HAYAKAWA (The Cheat) 1916: EUGENE PALLETT (Going Straight) 1917: JACK HOLT (The Little American) 1918: GORDON GRIFFITH (Tarzan of the Apes) 1919: DONALD CRISP (Broken Blossoms) Supporting Actress: 1915: MAE MARSH (The Birth of a Nation) 1916: CONSTANCE TALMADGE (Intolerance: Love's Struggle Throughout the Ages) 1917: VOLA VALE (The Silent Man) 1918: DOROTHY GISH (Hearts of the World) 1919: CLARINE SEYMOUR (True Heart Susie) Don't worry, I won't become annoying about this as I also have lists of golden age films and modern classics to go with my silent watching.

Soap Hoppers: The Soap Actors And Roles Thread
I use proboards, a free message board anyone can create, for myself when it comes to some lists I like to keep track of in my spare time. That could be a potential option and you'd probably just have to copy and paste the profiles.
