Knots Landing
I look at the success of Grace and Frankie and many older actors finding new life in recent years and I always hold out hope for a little Knots limited series focused on the original cast. I feel it would be *so* easy to write and I even have a story idea in my head I think would be perfect for it. They could do a reboot later, but I'd love one last love letter to that fantastic cast. His take is much better than what they did. That reboot was so damn bland and I didn't understand why they hired a writer who wanted to turn a super soap into a self-contained crime drama. I'm glad David didn't allow them to use Abby when they asked him. Everything on the reboot felt so tepid and you had to settle for random 1 minute scenes of greatness, but it never lasted. The initial ratings showed that people wanted to watch it, but there was nothing to keep them around. I feel like the final season they finally embraced their soap roots, but it was only because the show was ending. Now with that said, I am happy I got to appear on the reboot (I was an extra in two episodes). It was nice to meet the cast and see one of my favorite shows being shot, even though it wasn't very good. It was also interesting because I was part of a big cliffhanger in season one, so I liked having that secret to keep.

B&B: Bold from the beginning
I'm a few months into 1989 and Sally and Macy instantly fit in and have brought so much to the show. It's sad that the revival is what it was. I hated all the nick-named parody characters and the fact that it didn't have any basis in their history. I agree that they could've done a better job at bringing them back. Had it not been a gimmick, they would've lasted longer.

Beyond Salem Chapter 2 Discussion Thread
If Kristian and Peter are game, I'd just launch a proper Bo and Hope spin-off. It would solve the problem of Peter living in Alaska since he'd only have to come down for filming and it would be a smaller time commitment. It would be a good way to keep these character alive and their story ongoing without having to do the constant comings and going on the main show. They could easily cast a strong spin-off with Bo, Hope, Ciara, Ben and even Harris.

"Halloween Kills" & "Halloween Ends" 2 new upcoming Halloween movies
I thought Kills was fantastic as well, but I admit to being skeptical of what I've heard about Ends. I'm just going to go into it with an open mind. I have survived so many horrific Halloween sequels, that I owe them the benefit of the doubt after two solid films.

Beyond Salem Chapter 2 Discussion Thread
It's funny to hear Ron say he didn't wanna do season two when they first asked because he didn't have enough time to prepare. Watching BS2, I didn't get the feel that a ton of thought was put into this either. It was fun seeing Bo and Hope again (and Paul), but overall I felt this was weak. The one thing I liked is that they created a lot of strands that can continue on the main show like Wendy/Joey, Paul/Andrew, Megan, etc. I'm excited to see what they do with those loose threads, but overall I wish they'd take this show more seriously. I hope that if another soap gets the chance at a spin-off that they treat it as an actual limited series. Most limited series have 6-8 episodes, so they could easily tell a really well written story with a small amount of characters and give us good drama. I wish they'd do that instead of trying to cram so many characters in and so many locations into 5 episodes. If I had control over BS3, I'd do a Sami centered story set outside of Salem. They can't get Allison for long stretches, so that could be a good way to tell a story over a 5 episode period that's wrapped up. Of course they'd have to change the pacing and write the episodes like a primetime show to allow passage of time, but I think that would be a more successful approach. Each season can't be about a peacock or a prism.

Melrose Place
This is the type of reboot that should've always been done. With 90210, I get the desire to set it in high school since that was initially a high school show, but people liked Melrose Place for the characters, not the location. I would've kept it in the neighborhood, but not necessarily at the apartment complex. Now with the premise they had, there are ways they could've done it that would've worked better (like putting Taylor in Sydney's place and using her son with Michael instead of creating a new one), but that would take people who knew the show.

Beyond Salem Chapter 2 Discussion Thread
The show has a HW and a co-HW, but yall think the show is a mess because of Jamey? I mean, sure any writer can pitch a story, but the fault lies in the two people at the top. Jamey's position isn't big enough to change the direction of the show and I'll still maintain that Ambitions was a great show. In general I think Days has been absolutely horrific this year and BS2 is no different, but I put that blame solely where it needs to be on Ron as the main headwriter. When nothing on your show is working and you're the headwriter, it's hard to blame anybody else.

GENERAL HOSPITAL July 2022 Discussion Thread
I'm loyal to GH and I've found it the most entertaining soap over the past couple years, but it's time for some new writers. I know soaps have lulls, but they've been in one for ages. There is so little story movement and with that they keep introducing new characters, new secrets and new stories while none of the previous stories are moved forward. There should always be a rotation so there is at least one major story progressing while the others simmer. It's beyond time for them to give us a fresh vision here.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I didn't believe the rumors saying Dorinda would only be a friend on RHONY: Legacy, but watching her here I get it. She truly thinks Bravo randomly put her on a pause and that it had nothing to do with her behavior. She was just awful this week, but I was happy to see how Jill handled her. I was also impressed that Brandi didn't slap the [!@#$%^&*] out of her, which she honestly deserved.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Kyle was so irritating there! Why can't she just shut up and let Erika apologize? It has nothing to do with her! We get it, you don't care about Garcelle or her kids, but if she's offended, she has a right to say that. Stay out of it! Even Rinna had her mouth shut and you know that's damn near impossible.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The most shocking thing about Kyle's statement is the complete omission of an apology when it came to Garcelle and Jax. She does mention apologizing to Sutton, but when it comes to the two Black people she merely is making excuses so she doesn't look bad. The fact that she couldn't even muster a fake "I'm sorry if I offended you" is shocking. She really doesn't seem to care.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think Kyle is full of it when it comes to leaving. I expect her and Rinna to shed a lot of tears and do enough damage control to save their jobs. I feel like they show will need a shakeup, but Crystal, Erika, Diana and maybe Dorit will be in the most danger. I wouldn't be surprised if they let a few people go and we see the return of people like Camille, Brandi, Kim and LVP.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think she knew. She posted before last weeks episode that she wasn't planning on watching or recapping the episode. She likely got word or remembered her behavior at Garcelle's party.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The worst part is that in Kyle's comment, she just basically blew it off even though we saw the scene of her and Dorit laughing about it. Erika also hasn't said anything and led us to believe her falling out with Garcelle was about her legal issues. Knowing what we know now, it's completely understandable why Garcelle unfollowed her and stopped being friends with her.

Oh it gets worse: I wonder how Garcelle is going to react to seeing this. ETA: Garcelle has responded.

The source of Erika and Garcelle’s feud has now been revealed: I don’t even know what to say. That was unexpected…

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
You can never tell with Kyle! I like to hope she's secretly turning against Rinna due to the Kathy spat and also because she see's the writing on the wall, but it's hard to tell until Kyle chooses to play her cards. If Kathy manages to survive this scandal, I feel like Kyle will side with her. It all will depend on how the audience reacts to the scandal.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I feel like a lot of the hatred for Garcelle in the cast is because she has been so popular out of the gate and doesn't really have to force moments to makep eople like her. It seems to come easy for her and she's very carefree on social media and whenever they try to stir up drama for her she just blows them off. It's obvious Lisa hates her and she probably wouldn't gone harder at the reunion, had Garcelle not revealed what she said. I strongly believe Kyle is the one who told her that. You could tell on Kyle's face that she was ready for Garcelle to reveal her. She looked incredibly nervous. Do yall think Rinna will get another season? I feel like she's in Dorinda/Kelly Dodd territory right now.

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
I was happy they brought her back towards the end. She was really good in the role and I think she would've been good had they kept her on contract. Much more grounded than Lindsay McKeon's version.

ALL: They Almost Became
I never understood the obsession they had with keeping Jensen, who I didn't find to be that great. She was a good romantic lead, but hardly irreplacable. When did they make Ellen Wheeler audition for the role? Was that when Jensen was first hired or one of the times she tried to quit? I find that so odd she was an Emmy winner and they made her audition for her own role (AND she lost).

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
I'm happy to hear this and jealous at the same time! I just reached around 520 and I'm in 1989 waiting for Macy to arrive. I'm excited because I'm at a part where we're starting to get some new characters and some changes in the storylines. I'm glad to see the Logan's out and Sally Spectra has been such a good addition to the show. Literally from her first episode Darlene Conley knew exactly what she was doing and was a formidable presence. Now the one thing I will say is that Caroline has taken a complete nose dive in likability for me. I'm beyond ready for her to be killed off.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Sutton has been unbelievable this season. There's been so much pressure on her, but she's grown and can handle it. The way she has caused Diana to unravel has been amazing to watch. Diana has completely failed as a housewife. She came in with multiple salacious rumors and has done nothing to make us feel they aren't true. I believe everything bad that has been said about her and like Sutton said, she is a soulless person with a dark spirit. She's been coming for Sutton from day one and Sutton is winning. Diana looks insane. I was glad to see Garcelle call her out on WWHL. Sheree also had a very nice debut. She seemed comfortable on camera and filming with the women. I look forward to seeing how she continues to fit into the group. It's early, but I wouldn't be surrpised if she ends up sticking around.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Nene and Bravo are in negotiations to settle her lawsuit: https://pagesix.com/2022/06/28/nene-leakes-negotiating-lawsuit-with-bravo-andy-cohen/ Everybody laughed at her, but she's about to laugh all the way to the bank! Also her new show (which premiered at almost midnight) was #5 for the night and beat RHOA in the ratings. It shows there is still a demand for her. It's actually a good show as well and she's coming off very well.
