Mike with his son are sitting in the living room talking.

Mike “I been back in Salem for over two weeks now and I can’t believe this is the first time I am seeing you. Where have you been?”

Jeremy

“Oh, here and there.”

Mike

“Well why didn’t you come to see me? You ignored my phone calls? Why are you avoiding me?”

Jeremy “No reason Dad. I was busy. Why are you giving me the third degree?”

Mike

“Because I am your father and I can do that.”

Jeremy

“I’m a grown man now. I have been doing fine for myself these last few years without you in my life so don’t think for a second that your just going to pop back up in town and expect me to put my life on hold just because you’re here?”

Mike

“I will not have you talk to me like that.”

Jeremy

“Well get used to it dad.” Jeremy gets up and leave.

Mike

“What did I do? What in the hell is the matter with him?

Marlena’s Penthouse

Marlena is looking out her patio door at the snow flakes falling from the sky. As the snow falls she has good memories of her and John together.

“Oh my love, How I miss you so..” Her thoughts are interrupted with a door bell

Belle, walking out the kitchen

“You want me to get that mom?”

Marlena

“No honey I got it.” Marlena walks over to the door and opens it. She is shocked to see a man with two dozen red roses.

Marlena

“Oh my.”

Delivery man

“These are for Belle Black.” Marlena takes the flowers and hands them to Belle, then Marlena tips the delivery man.

Belle

“I can’t believe this. Who would send me all these roses?”

Marlena, walking over to her

“Well did it come with a card?”

Belle, looking into the flower and finding the card

“Here it is.” She opens it and reads. She smiles once she’s done

Marlena

“Well, who sent them to you?”

Belle

“Nicholas Alamain”

Salem Inn.

Sami, having just stepped out the shower, wraps a towel around her as she answers her door. Sami is surprised to see Lexie.

Sami

“Lexie, what are you doing here?”

Lexie

“Hey Sami, I know I came unannounced but I was hoping we could talk.”

Sami, frowning up

“Uhm I guess. Come in, I’ll put some clothes on” Sami walks back into her bedroom and wonders what could Lexie have to talk to her about.

Downtown Salem, Salem Place

Jeremy grabs his hot chocolate from the Java Café and garbs a seat with his cousin, Nick Fallon.

Nick

“So tell me what happened? How did it go with your father?”

Jeremy

“Not good man. He pops back in my life and expects me to say how high when he says jump. It’s not going to happen like that.”

Nick

“He is your father.”

Jeremy

“Not by choice. He wasn’t there for me half my life. Instead he pawned me off with my mother and for what? So he can romance women here in Salem?”

Nick

“You mean Carrie Brady?”

Jeremy

“Yes and for what? There not even together. Carrie is with Austin.

Nick

“Maybe you should let by gones be by gones. Leave all that stuff in the past.”

Jeremy

“Sorry Nick. I just can’t do that. My mother struggled raising me and keeping food on the table. Did my father come see how we were doing? No. SO just because he wants to be in my life when it’s convieant for him, doesn’t mean I have to partake. To me Mike Horton is dead!”

Back at The Horton House

Julie comes in the front door.

“Michael? You here? I saw your car outside. I need help with these groceries.”

Mike walks out into the living and into the foyer and grabs the grocery bags.

Julie, taking her winter hat and scarf off

“It’s really cold out there.”

Mike

“Yes it is.”

Julie

“Michael, what’s the matter? You look like a sick puppy.”

Mike

“It’s Jeremy. He’s not happy I’m back in Salem.”

Julie

“Oh, give the boy some time. He’ll come around.”

Mike

“I don’t know Julie, he said some strong words to me. I think coming back to Salem was a mistake.”

The Cheating Heart

Hope is sitting at the bar drinking on a beer which has become the norm for her. As she drinks she thinks back to her argument with Bo “Why can’t people just leave me the hell alone?”

“Now you’re talking to yourself?” Hope turns around and sees Megan Dimera

Hope

“Oh God, not you again. Want to borrow my phone so you can call the police on me again?”

Megan

“I rather call Bo instead”

Hope

“Megan I am warning you now, leave Bo the hell alone.! What you two had was ages ago now get over it!”

Megan

“You keep drinking the way you are; BO will be mine in no time. So go ahead Ugly face. Keep drinking.”

Hope

“I really despise you. I don’t know why you aren’t behind bars for all this hideous stunts you pulled to get with my husband.”

Megan

“What can I say? I’m a Dimera. You know us Dimera’s are above the law.”

Hope

“I don’t know about that, but I know this, you’re a pathetic Bitch.” Hope throws her drink in Megan’s face and walks out the bar.

Megan

“I can’t believe her. This isn’t over ugly face. Not by a long shot!”

Back at Salem Inn

Sami walks out her bedroom

“Now what is it you want to talk about Lexie? I didn’t know we were good friends”

Lexie

“I hope to change that. Sami I owe you. You saved me from going to jail.”

Sami

“Well I am not asking for a Nobel prize or something. I am trying to turn over a new leaf in my life. After EJ was shot on that island, I have had a new outlook on life.”

Lexie

“I’m glad Sami. It shows your really are maturing.”

Sami

“Lexie, I don’t want to be ruder but I don’t need you telling me how mature I am. Your not the best person to be passing judgment. You are a Dimera by the way.”

Lexie

“You’re right. I am. Look Sami, I just came by to tell you thank you. I hope we can bury hatchet.”

Sami

“Anything is possible.”

Lexie

“That’s all I can hope for. Listen, I won’t hold you up any longer so I’ll be on my way.”

Sami

“Well thanks for stopping by.”

Lexie, turning back and looking at her

“And Sami, if you ever need someone to talk to, I am only a phone call away. I know you’re dealing with a lot with losing EJ.”

Sami

“Thank you Lexie” Lexie leaves. Sami thinks to her self “Me and Lexie friends? Nah” Sami goes into her bathroom to do her hair.

Meanwhile, a masked figure breaks into her apartment, through the open the window………..
