Forrester Originals boardroom

All of the family is there Eric, Stephanie, Ridge, Brooke, Thorne, and Felicia.

Eric: I think we all know why I called this special meeting. We need an official vote on whether to bring on Ashley Abbott to create a new fragrance to help with the launch of our new line.

Stephanie: I think it’s a great idea, we have known the Abbott family for years and Ashley is a wonderful chemist.

Ridge: I agree mother, Jabot made a mistake letting her slip through their fingers.

Felicia: I vote yes too. This could be very marketable…

Thorne: If it’s a success, sis. What if the fragrance stinks? Are we sure this is the right time to do something this extravagant?

Brooke: I agree with Thorne, Eric. This is a risky move, especially with us jumpstarting a new company.

Stephanie: Oh Brooke why am I not surprised? And Thorne I am ashamed of you, don’t you have more confidence in your father and brother and sister, and yourself?

Thorne: Of course I have confidence, its just you never know what the public wants; I just don’t want us to fall on our faces, the first second out of the gate.

Eric: We won’t son, because we are Foresters.

Ridge: Damn it! We wouldn’t even be in this situation if it wasn’t for Nick Marone.

Felicia: I am with dad. We will show them, Nick doesn’t have a clue about fashion.

Thorne: Fine I am in, but don’t make me say I told you so.

Ridge: Logan…

Brooke: Alright, this could be good thing.

Eric: Great. Then Ashley Abbott is now a member of Forrester Originals.

Stephanie: Eric would you like me to call Ashley and give her the news.

Eric: Thanks. (He kisses her on the cheek) This is going to be a good thing. I can feel it. (Then kisses her on the lips)

The Marone Mansion-

Nick and Taylor are walking to the front door.

Taylor: I am a little nervous.

Nick: Don’t be, my parents love you.

Taylor: I am not so sure; I know they prefer Brooke.

Nick: They know I love you and only you now. All they want is for me to be happy.

Taylor: And being with me makes you happy?

Nick: Why would you even ask that, I love you, I want to marry you, YOU are carrying my child. Now let’s go in and tell them the news.

Taylor: I don’t know why I am nervous, it’s not like I haven’t never done this before.

Stephanie’s Office

Stephanie’s at her desk on the phone

Stephanie: Hello, Ashley. It’s Stephanie Forrester.

Ashley: Stephanie, yes. Hello.

Stephanie: Ashley, I have wonderful news, you were voted in unanimously! On behalf of Eric and the rest of the board, I would like to welcome you to Forrester Originals. That is if.. you are still interested.

Ashley: Yes of course I am. Thank you so much!

Stephanie: Listen I have another meeting I need to get to; I just wanted to call you personally and give you the news.

Ashley: Thank you again Stephanie.

Stephanie: Sure, I know you are going to be a great asset to the company. When can you come down and sign some papers?

Ashley: How about later today?

Stephanie: That sounds great.

Brooke’s office

Brooke is looking out the window with a preoccupied look on her face. Ridge knocks on the door and enters.

Ridge: Logan… something on your mind.

Brooke: It’s Rick. I am worried about him. Ever since Nick bought Forrester Creations, he has been out of job.

Ridge: Well Dad asked him to join us here at Originals.

Brooke: I know, but he didn’t want to leave Paris, now he’s having a hard time finding a new job, it’s not that easy.

Ridge: Then tell him to come back home, we can make room for him.

Brooke: He just doesn’t want to look like a failure to the rest of the family.

Ridge: Does he want to come back or not?

Brooke: He does. He just doesn’t want to give up his life in Paris.

Ridge: He must have some life. Thomas has been there for months studying with the best designers and Rick has barely acknowledged his being there.

Brooke: Rick was very busy working for Forrester International, you know that.

Ridge: Look I am not going to get into another fight with you over Rick. If he wants to come back that’s great. If he doesn’t, that’s fine too. Now come on we are late for the marketing meeting.

Marone Mansion

Nick and Taylor are waiting at the door. Jackie answers it.

Jackie: Hello Nicky! How are you darling?

Nick: I’m fine mom, I didn’t come alone.

Jackie: Yes of course, hello Taylor.

Taylor: Jackie.

Nick: Where is dad?

Jackie: He is actually out back enjoying the sun for once.

Nick: I will go wheel him in.

Taylor: Has he had anymore episodes?

Jackie: No and when he comes in, please don’t bring up anything about his stroke. He has a lot of pride and knowing that something happened to him that he couldn’t control…..

Taylor: I understand, if he needs to talk about it, I wouldn’t mind.

Jackie: Thank you Taylor and I know that you are a wonderful therapist, but Massimo Marone is not one to open up about his feelings- to anyone. In fact he rarely speaks now, and the speech therapist cleared him a month ago.

Nick pushes Massimo in his wheel chair to the sitting area.

Nick: Dad, Taylor and I didn’t come over just to have lunch we have something important to tell you and mother.

Jackie: Nicky, what is it?

Nick: I asked Taylor to marry me.

Taylor: And I said yes!

Jackie: Nicky…

Nick: And mother before you say anything else, Taylor is also carrying my child,(to Massimo) your grandchild Pop.

(Massimo Smiles)

Jackie: Oh, Nicky. I am so happy for you! And you Taylor. (she hugs her)

The Cook enters.

Cook: Lunch is served

Jackie: Come along darling.(To Massimo)

Nick: I’ll take him in mom.

Jackie and Taylor leave for the dinning room.

Nick: Okay Pop lets go eat some grub.

Massimo: (raising his hand) Wait!

Nick: Pop! Are you alright?

Massimo: I am fine, what I am worried about is your business sense.

Nick: What are you talking about?

Massimo: I am very happy for you son, you have a woman who loves you and an heir on the way, but where is your head for business? Buying Forrester Creations, while nearly bankrupting Morone Industries, just to stick it to your brother! You had better turn a profit, my boy or we will all be out on the streets!
