Allen walks in and sees Amanda, who seems to be saddened.

Allen: Amanda, what's wrong?

Amanda (wiping her eyes): Nothing.

Allen: You don't look fine at all. Come on, talk to me.

Amanda: It's fine...really. We got work to do.

Allen: You try to be so tough, just like your mom.

Amanda: Try is the operative word.

Allen: But there's someone underneath who likes to unwind and have fun.

Amanda: Look there's nothing wrong with me, now go check on your people and make sure they're doing what they're supposed to do okay.

Donna and Marley wait in the waiting area.

Marley: Have you heard from Vicky?

Donna: Not since she told us about today.

Marley: She's gonna need us Donna.

Donna: I know. This is so hard for her, Jake, Bridget...for all of us.

Marley: Right.

Donna: Where's Tyrone?

Marley: He had court today.

Michele lies in her hospital room on life support and Reginald walks up to her, and sits beside her.

Reginald: My sweet little great-granddaughter. This isn't fair. You had a choice of Columbia or Harvard. You know what, I bet you were going to choose Harvard, because your sister would have chosen Columbia. Columbia's in New York, and you're not all for that hustle and bustle like Bridget is. Your great grandfather has done some questionable things in his life, but one thing's for certain, I absolutely adore you. I would have done anything for you. I had no idea that Bridget would do what she did. I guess she's more like me.

Reginald's eyes water and a couple of tears fall down his cheeks...as Vicky approaches the door unheard by Reginald.

Reginald: You shouldn't be going anywhere. You got too much life ahead of you. This isn't right. All the things I've done, I should be where you are, and you have too many people that love you.

In a very rare moment, Vicky comforts Reginald, who gets up from Michele's bedside. Jake, Donna, Marley, Bridget, and John all walk in. Reginald gets a phone call. He takes the call outside of the room and he is not pleased. He learns the Judge Parker fell ill and he will not preside over Iris's hearing. "This can't be!" he exclaims.

Rachel walks in with Paulina.

Paulina: Where's Amanda?

Rachel: She's at the office. I told her to stay there and run things.

They approach Cass at the front of the court.

Cass: Are you ready?

Rachel: As ready as I can be.

Paulina: I can't believe they're considering letting her out after all she's done.

Tyrone walks in with his briefcase and goes to the defense's table as the guards escort Iris to the table next to Tyrone. "All rise!" says the Balliff as Judge Davis takes her place.

Judge Davis: This proceeding is to determine whether or not Iris Carrington should be released from prison...and why she shouldn't be released. Counselor Montgomery state your case for the defense.

Tyrone: Your honor. I'm here to present that Iris Carrington is not a threat to society if she is released from prison. I have recommendations from the warden, that she has been a model citizen during her incarceration, and a letter from the Governor of Illinois and Texas.

The balliff retrieves the documents and gives them to the judge. Tyrone as she looks them over.

Tyrone: Before she was incarcerated your honor, she was not the person who shot Carl Hutchins. Her criminal record was for the most part clean aside from a few parking tickets. Based on the recommendations and her previous record, I petition the court for Iris Carrington's release. Nothing further your honor.

Judge Davis: Counselor Winthrop. State your case why Iris Carrington should not be released.

Cass: Your honor it's been well documented that Iris Carrington has tormented the Corys for quite some when she was a free woman. The conspiracy to commit murder not withstanding, she orchestrated a takeover attempt as the Chief, from her father's company, Cory Publishing. I have witnesses here who can testify what Iris has done to them.

Rachel gets up and says she will not testify, much to Cass's and Paulina's unpleasant surprise.

Paulina: Rachel are you crazy?

Rachel: I know what I'm doing. Cass tell the judge I'm not testifying.

Cass: Your honor. My witness has declined to testify against Iris.

Judge Davis: Mrs. Hutchins, are you sure that you do not want to tell us why Ms. Carrington should remain incarcerated?

Rachel: She's paid her penance.

Judge Davis: Okay. Well based on today's proceedings, I hereby announce the release of Iris Carrington from incarceration. Ms. Carrington you are free to go.

Amanda is in her office crying, and Allen catches her this time.

Amanda: I'm sorry.

Allen: Amanda I'm not gonna let you slink out of this one.

Amanda (giving Allen the envelope she received): This.

Allen: Who's Cameron Sinclair?

Amanda: As of today, he's my ex-husband. That paper you just read says it.

Allen: Wow. I'm sorry Amanda.

Amanda: We've been separated for a couple of years, but there's such a finality to this. The divorce is final.

Allen: I've never seen you like this.

Amanda: Like what?

Allen: Vulnerable.

Amanda: If you've gone through a divorce then you might know how this feels.

Allen: As a matter of fact I do. It's funny that you go through all that you go through to dissolve the marriage, but you still love them.

Amanda: Do you love your ex-wife?

Allen: I think a part of me always will, that's why I married her.

Amanda: I thought Cameron was the love of my life. I made so many mistakes with other men. I thought I finally had found happiness with Cameron...

Allen comes closer to Amanda. "If I got through it, you'll get through it, too. I'll help you." They embrace, face each other, and kiss.

HOSPITAL

The moment that the McKinnons, Loves and Hudsons have dreaded has arrived. Jake, Vicky, Bridget, Donna, Marley, Reginald, and John convene in Michele's hospital room. Michele is on life support.

Jake: Hey kid. It's your dad.

Vicky: Mom's here.

Jake: I can't believe this.

Vicky: This is goodbye.

Jake and Vicky each lean in and kiss Michele on her forehead. Vicky gives Jake a CD and he puts it on. "We're gonna play your favorite song when you were a kid." says Vicky. Her favorite song is Whitney Houston's "The Greatest Love of All." As the song plays, Bridget, Donna, and Marley say their goodbyes. John says goodbye to his brother's granddaughter. As the song ends, Jake and Vicky nod at John, giving him the okay to shut off the life support, and he does so, and Michele is officially declared dead.

Rachel walks in and confers with Cass.

Rachel: I got your text.

Cass: Thanks for coming.

Rachel: So what's the plan? Anything I can do?

Cass: You can testify against Iris. Show the judge why she shouldn't be released.

Rachel: That's easy. She tried to have Carl killed on our wedding day.

Cass: You have to be careful Rachel.

Rachel: Of what?

Cass: With Carl not being in the picture any more, that may not be good enough.

Tyrone is on his laptop at a table and Grant joins him.

Grant: Waiting for someone?

Tyrone: No.

Grant (sitting down): Is everything prepared?

Tyrone: Pretty much.

Grant: Good. This is going to go a long way. I am going to be running for Mayor in the coming weeks, and I'll be looking to appoint a new District Attorney. If you win this case it might be you.

Tyrone: You're supposed to put in a good word for me now.

Grant: I don't have to do that Mr. Montgomery. If you get Iris released from prison tomorrow, your name will be popular all on its own.

Tyrone: You just make sure you make that phone call.

Grant: Of course I will...if Iris gets out.

Tyrone: I haven't lost a case bruh. I don't plan on losing this one.

Grant: As I said it will help your career.

Tyrone: I gotta ask you something though. Given everything that Iris has done to the Corys, how do you think Paulina is gonna react when she finds out you got the Governor to endorse Iris's release?

Grant: She's not going to react because she's not going to find out.

Unbeknownst to the both of them, ALLEN is about a couple of tables behind Tyrone, and was able to hear their conversation.

Reginald is on his cell phone.

Reginald: Gooood afternoon. Judge Parker, you're presiding over the hearing tomorrow for Iris's release. Yes you just make sure she gets out, then you'll get your reward.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rachel: You can't be serious. After all that woman has tried to do to our family.

Cass: Granted, she's made your lives miserable when she was around.

Rachel: She needs to stay in prison.

Cass: Rachel I don't disagree with you, but trying to take over a company does make someone a danger to society.

Rachel: What about consipiracy to commit murder? Doesn't that make her dangerous?

Cass: That would make anyone dangerous, but you've got to understand, she doesn't have a long criminal history where she's tried to kill people. It was only Carl. Most of her vendetta was against you and Mac's other children.

Rachel: Right. If you let her out of jail she's gonna come after my family.

Cass: That's why you have to come to the hearing tomorrow. Gather any evidence you may have that could sway the judge to keep Iris in prison, and we can review it.

Rachel: What am I gonna come up with between tonight and tomorrow?

Cass: Not sure, but you and Amanda better start digging. I'll work on my end, too.

Rachel: Don't you think this is kind of sudden? I mean, this hearing just got sprung on us.

Cass: It does seem quick.

Rachel: I wouldn't be surprised if Iris had something to do with it.

Reginald and Allen are there conversing.

Allen: You'll never guess what I heard down at the Center.

Reginald: And what would that be?

Allen: Grant got the Governor to write a letter of recommendation to release Iris from prison.

Reginald: I've all but ensured that.

Allen: How?

Reginald: Not to worry, you just keep doing what you're doing.

Allen: Oh I am. All the people that we signed are gonna pull out, and Cory Publishing is gonna buy out all of the contracts instead of suing them.

Reginald: Lawsuits wouldn't be very cost effective for them.

Allen: Neither would the buyouts, but they don't have a choice, and after they're done buying out the contracts, they will be in more financial dire straits than they are now.

Reginald: And when they're ready to sell, we will swoop in and purchase, and Cory Publishing will be mine...for the time being.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tyrone: Well I'm not gonna tell her okay, but secrets have a way of coming to the surface.

Grant: Not this one. I'm making good progress with her. She's a good person, and I'd be a fool to mess that up.

Tyrone: You've played with fire before.

Grant: I love Paulina, and I'm not going to lose her.

"You hope." says Tyrone, as he packs his briefcase and leaves.

Jake wakes up and Vicky is not next to him. He quickly gets up and calls out to her. "Vicky!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He finally finds Vicky in Michele's bedroom. She's sitting at Michele's desk holding her college acceptance letters, looking straight ahead. Her eyes are watery because she has been crying. All Jake can do is watch her from the door.

Vicky (feeling his presence): She looked so pretty in her prom dress. So happy.

Jake: She did.

Vicky: She had a choice of going to Columbia or Harvard. She had such a bright future.

Bridget walks up to the door and and Jake puts his arm around Bridget's right shoulder. Vicky feels Bridget's presence also and her mood changes.

Vicky: And she took it away.

Vicky gets up and faces them.

Vicky: Are you happy now Bridget?

Bridget (crying): Of course not I never thought....

Vicky (interrupting Bridget): That's right, you never thought...and it because of that, Michele is brain dead.

Jake: Vicky---

Vicky: Face the truth Jake. One of our daughters is responsible for killing the other.

Jake: Bridget let me talk to your mother alone please.

Bridget: Dad I didn't mean for this happen.

Jake: I know baby. I just want to speak to your mom.

Jake kisses Bridget on her forehead and Jake closes the door.

Jake: Look I know you're hurting. I am, too, but I am not going to let you keep blaming Bridget for Michele's condition.

Vicky: So you're overlooking the fact that Bridget opened Michele's acceptance letter to Harvard. You also forgot about Bridget texting from Michele's phone.

Jake: I didn't---

Vicky: And let's not forget that she stole a bottle of vodka from Reginald's liquor cabinet so she can get Michele's boyfriend drunk! As far as I'm concered she's responsible, and I want her out of this house.

Greg is lying in his room unable to move his legs, and John walks in.

John: How are you doing?

Greg: Everything's clear now. I know what happened.

John: The police contacted me. They told me that they've ruled it an accident. No charges are gonna be filed.

Greg: I don't know how I should feel about that. It's because of me that my cousin is brain dead.

John: Son you had a steroid rage.

Greg: I feel horrible dad. Jake and Vicky lost a child because of me. I'll never forgive myself.

John: Greg it was an accident. She stumbled onto the street and you tried to swerve out of the way.

Greg: I should be where Michele is right now...not her.

Rachel and Paulina sip on their cups of cappucino.

Paulina: Thanks for meeting me.

Rachel: It's not a problem.

Paulina: Dante told me what happened at the prom. I feel so horrible for Jake and Vicky.

Rachel: It's quite tragic. They are devastated. I don't think it's quite hit Cory yet.

Paulina: Dante he had a great time with Elizabeth.

Rachel: I'm glad that the kids were able to experience that bliss, but somehow I don't think you wanted me to come here to talk about the children.

Paulina: You're right. It's about Grant.

Rachel: Grant?

Paulina: He's in love with me.

----------------------------------------------------------

John: I understand your guilt, and in a way you should feel guilty, but you can't let it consume you.

Greg: I stopped using them dad. I wasn't lying.

John: I believe you son, now you've got to focus on getting better.

Greg: Am I gonna be able to walk again?

John: We don't know that. We're gonna get you on a physical therapy regimen.

Greg: I wanna play football again dad.

John: Son stop worrying about it. You will be fine. I've set you up with a physical therapist.

Greg: I'm ready to begin.

John: We gotta wait for the swelling to go down.

---------------------------------------------------------

Rachel: He is?

Paulina: He's been there for us since Joe was killed. He bought a designer tux for Dante, and he set up a limo for Dante to go to the prom in.

Rachel: Wow. He's gone all out. Definitely sounds like he's in love with you. I guess the question would be...how do you feel?

Paulina: It's scary.

Rachel: So...you have feelings for Grant?

Paulina: Yes I do, but I feel I'm betraying Joe, and you know Grant's past and the things he's done.

Rachel: People told me the same thing about Carl. I had the same doubts. After all, he had done everything in his power to terrorize Mac and me. Everyone was against it you know that. In the beginning I didn't want to betray Mac, but I couldn't deny it anymore. I had fallen in love with Carl. We had a great marriage and two wonderful children.

Paulina: Wow. I never thought of it like that. It was you and against the world wasn't it?

Rachel: It sure seemed that way didn't it?

They both chuckle.

Rachel: If you love him, go for it.

Paulina: I think I do.

Rachel: Joe would want you to move on, just like Mac wanted me to.

Paulina: You always know the right thing to say.

Rachel: You're like a daughter to me Paulina.

Rachel gets a text and reads and her mood changes.

Paulina: Rachel you look concerned what is it?

Rachel: It's a text from Cass. There's gonna be a hearing for Iris's release this week.

------------------------------------------------------------

Jake: Bridget lives here.

Vicky: I can't stand to look at her.

Jake: Why? Because she reminds you of you!

Vicky slaps Jake and she begins to cry.

Vicky: This isn't fair. I want my baby back.

Jake embraces his wife.

Jake: I want her back, too.

Vicky: My little girl. My sweet, intelligent girl.

Jake: She'll always be a part of us.

Vicky: I guess it's...time to call Uncle John.

Allen: Good morning.

Amanda: What have you done?

Allen: What do you mean?

Amanda: I got the Head Editor's file this morning.

Allen: What about it?

Amanda: The Editors are concerned that the content these people are writing about is not going to sell books.

Allen: Can they tell the people to change it?

Amanda: If these people that we signed don't pan out, the company is gonna be in big trouble.

Elizabeth comes downstairs, notices Mitch sleeping on the couch, and screams "Fire!", and Mitch jumps up.

Mitch: What! Elizabeth is everything alright?

Elizabeth: Everything's fine here. I guess you'll be asking Felicia that when you get home.

Mitch: It was late and I was tired, so your mom let me crash here.

Elizabeth: But you could have gone home from the hospital, but you decided to come home with us. Is something going on between you and my mom?

HOSPITAL

John and Sharlene tend to their son Gregory, who is lying in the bed, unable to move his legs.

Gregory: I can't believe this happened.

Sharlene: Why did you get so angry at your father?

John: I was removing the hinges from his bedroom door.

Gregory: He was invading my privacy.

Sharlene: Well John why would you do that?

John: Did you see the living room the other day when we came home?

Sharlene: Yes he got angry because he was kicked off the football team.

John: No...Sharlene, that's not why he's been getting angry.

Gregory: Dad.

John: It's not time she knew. Gregory's rages are a result of steroid use.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cass: Charlie...uh...come in. What are you doing here?

Charlie: Nice to see you, too dad.

Cass: My God, you must have been driving all night. You're probably tired.

Charlie: As a matter of fact I am.

Cass: I'll have to order us something because I don't have a lot of food in the frig.

Charlie: Cool.

Cass: So how long are you staying till you go back to school?

Charlie: Dad...um...I'm not going to back to school.

Cass: Did I hear correctly? YOu're not what?

Charlie: I've been ruled academically ineligible. I flunked out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Allen (listening attentively): What are you saying?

Amanda: If these writers you signed don't pan out, we're gonna be in more financial trouble than we already are.

Allen: Well if you don't think material is gonna sell magazines and books, then we can just buy them out.

Amanda: We can't even afford buyouts, but we won't have a choice if they pull out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mitch: Elizabeth, your mom is a friend. She's Matt's mother, too.

Elizabeth: And you're Matt's father, blah blah blah, same old story.

Mitch: Well I better get outta here.

Elizabeth: You haven't answered my question Mr. Blake.

Mitch: Oh ok. There's nothing going on between me and your mother. We're friends, that's all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sharlene: And I guess you both decided it was best I didn't know until now!

John: We didn't want to upset you.

Sharlene: It took something like this to happen for you to tell me what was going with my son!

Gregory: Mom we didn't want you to react like the way you are now.

John: Sharlene we had you in mind. Gregory said he stopped using them.

Sharlene: You two lied to me when I found the needle! Excuse me I need to get some air.

As Sharlene walks to the elevator, she sees doctors and nurses walking, and has another flashback of Grant being wheeled in to the hospital after he was shot, and then another flashback of her standing over Paulina in tears, with Rachel holding Paulina.

Meanwhile, a man with a gun walks up to another man sitting at a table, and the man at the table signs his signature on divorce papers for Cameron Sinclair and Amanda Cory Sinclair.

AT BAY CITY GENERAL HOSPITAL WAITING AREA....

Vicky unleashes her anger at Bridget, as Marley, Tyrone, and Donna arrive. Bridget is in shock and in tears...

Vicky: You did this! You pushed Michele out into the street! You did this to your own sister!

Donna quickly tends to Vicky...

Donna: Victoria let's go somewhere and talk okay.

Vicky: Bridget tried to kill Michele.

Donna (escorting Vicky out of the waiting room): Let's go.

Reginald accosts Jake.

Reginald: How can you let her accuse Bridget of trying to kill Michele?

Jake: Your parenting days are over Reg. Let Vicky and I handle our kids.

Reginald: Well it looks like you need the help because it doesn't look like you're doing a great job of it.

Marley: Jake what happened?

Reginald: Michele is brain dead, thanks to their lack of parenting.

Jake goes to attack Reginald and Tyrone restrains him.

Tyrone: I think you need to get outta here Reggie.

Reginald: Gladly.

Marley (hugging Jake): Oh my God Jake I'm so sorry.

------------------------------------------------------

Rachel, Mitch, and Felicia arrive and tend to Cory and Elizabeth...

Rachel: How are you two?

Cory: My head hurts.

Elizabeth: It's been one crazy night.

Rachel and Felicia walk over to Jake and Bridget.

Rachel: Jake? What happened?

Jake: Michele's....she was hit by a car.

Felicia: Oh my God. Is she gonna be alright?

Jake (watery eyed): No...

Meanwhile, Mitch tends to Cory and Elizabeth.

Mitch: What did you go on...a bender?

Elizabeth: Bridget spiked his punch with vodka.

Mitch: Are you serious?

Cory: Come on lay off of her. She's upset about her sister.

Elizabeth: Lay off? Michele is brain dead because of Bridget. She caused this whole mess!

Cory: Brain dead? What are you talking about?

Mitch: I think we probably should go.

Cory: No I wanna stay.

Mitch: I think it's best we go home.

Mitch walks over to Rachel.

Mitch: Jake I'm so sorry about Michele.

Jake: Thank you.

Mitch: Rachel are you staying?

Rachel: Umm Jake do you need anything?

Jake: We'll be fine here. Thanks Rachel.

Rachel: Let's get the kids home.

Mitch turns to Felicia.

Mitch: Honey I'll be home after we drop the kids off.

Felicia is a little caught off guard...

Felicia: Umm...okay....sure. I'll see you when you get home.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Donna tries to comfort Vicky outside the chapel.

Vicky: This wasn't supposed to happen Donna. How did it happen?

Donna: I don't know honey. It just seems like an unfortunate accident.

Vicky: I saw Bridget and Michele fighting on the sidewalk, and before Jake and I could stop the fight, it looked like Bridget pushed her out in front an oncoming car.

Donna: Victoria, I don't believe that for a second.

Vicky: Bridget has been plotting against Michele for some time now.

Donna: What?

Vicky: She tried to hide Michele's acceptance letter from Harvard, and she stole a bottle of vodka from Reginald's liquor cabinet, and got Cory Hutchins drunk. Michele's boyfriend.

Donna: Are you trying to say Bridget tried to kill Michele? That's a serious accusation. I just don't believe that Bridget tried to do that.

Vicky: I'm starting to.

Donna: You're angry and upset, understandably, but to accuse Bridget of killing her own sister is a bit much.

Felicia walks up to them and Vicky gets up to face her.

Vicky: Are you here to gloat?

Felicia: Of course not.

Vicky: I know what you're going to say. This is payback for what I did to your niece.

Felicia: I would never wish this on anyone. You have my condolences.

Donna: Thank you so much Felicia. We both thank you.

Felicia: John is waiting for you in the waiting area.

---------------------------------------------------

Vicky approaches John, Jake, and Bridget, along with Tyrone and Marley.

John: Jake, Vicky. Have you decided?

Vicky: No. Michele's gonna recover! Do not remove that respirator!

Jake: We'll talk about it at home.

Vicky: There's no discussion Jake. Michele is gonna recover.

Everyone looks at Vicky and realizes she is in denial.

John: Oh my God.

Vicky: John...what are you doing here?

John: Gregory...

John looks over and notices Gregory's car crashed into the wall, and John rushes over to his son, as the ambulance arrives.

Mitch: Life is full of surprises.

Felicia: Well I didn't think that Mitch and I would ever get back together, but we did.

Rachel: You two look very happy.

Mitch: Yes, we are.

Felicia: I thought we'd keep you some company since the kids are dancin' the night away.

Rachel: You know you think are gonna stay those adorable little babies, but they grow up, and fast.

Felicia: It was like that with Lorna. I remember holding her when she was so tiny.

Rachel: This will be a night the kids will never forget.

Marley: It's a beautiful night tonight isn't it.

Tyrone: Starry sky...

Marley: Hey...I owe you an apology.

Tyrone: For what baby?

Marley: I've been so distant lately. Dealing my own guilt...my therapist has really helped me.

Tyrone: Are you sure Marley?

Marley: What do you mean? Of course I am.

Tyrone: I want you to get better. Yes I want to have mind blowing sex with my wife, but I will be here. I love you so much Marley. I'm not gonna leave you at your worst.

Marley: I am getting better. For me, and for us.

The mystery person is watching them from the bushes...and the person makes a sound. Tyrone jumps up and shields Marley. "Who's there?" he asks.

CORYS HOUSE

Mitch: I was the photographer at my prom.

Felicia: The school photographer huh?

Mitch: I had this dinky little camera. I'm glad they make things better now.

Rachel: They better bring me pictures back from the prom, too.

Mitch: I'm sure you'll savor the memories.

Rachel: Yes I will.

Mitch: I'm sure Matt had a great time at his prom.

Rachel: Yes he did. Mac and I helped him get ready for all of that.

Mitch: You and Mac did a great job with Matt.

Felicia notices a look between them, and then Rachel's cell phone rings.

Rachel: Elizabeth?

Elizabeth: Mom come to the hospital.

Rachel: Hospital? What happened?

Elizabeth: A lot. I'll tell you when you get here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BAY CITY GENERAL HOSPITAL

The McKinnons are there along with Reginald., Cory and Elizabeth...in the waiting room. Sharlene runs in.

Elizabeth (giving Cory a bottled water): I got this for you.

Cory: It doesn't have liquor in it does it?

Elizabeth: I wouldn't do that to you. Drink it. I called mom.

Cory: Why did you do that?

Elizabeth: Because she's our mom, and she would kill us if she didn't find out from us.

Cory: Since when did you become the good kid.

Elizabeth: Since when did you let someone get u drunk?

Bridget is standing next to Jake, and Elizabeth approaches her.

Elizabeth: Why did you try to get my brother drunk? What kind of a person does that?

Jake: Elizabeth---

Elizabeth: No you are despicable for giving my brother vodka, all because you wanted to get under your sister's skin. You're horrible!

Jake: That's enough Elizabeth! She's feels bad enough.

Elizabeth: You need to get control of your daughter, because she is all over the place.

----------------------------------------------------

Vicky and Reginald watch them.

Reginald: Vicky...you may not want to hear this, but---

Vicky: What are you gonna say? Bridget's like me? Well this is not the time for that!

Reginald: I'm concerned for her. If Michele doesn't make it....

Vicky: She's gonna make it! I'm not thinking negatively like you are! Michele's gonna pull through this.

Reginald: How are you going to help Bridget after tonight?

----------------------------------------------------

Sharlene is in Gregory's hospital room

Sharlene: WHat is going on with you? You could've been killed tonight!

Gregory: I can't help it mom. I just get so angry and I can't control it. Mom's what's wrong with me?

Sharlene: We're gonna have to get you some help. I don't know why you get so angry.

Gregory: Dad took the door off of my bedroom, and I got real angry and drove off. Did I get in an accident? I don't even remember.

Sharlene: Oh honey. Just rest...where's your father?

Gregory: I don't know. Mom?

Sharlene: Yes honey.

Gregory: Why can't I move my legs?

Sharlene realizes he may be paralyzed.

Gregory (becoming afraid): I can't move my legs mom.

----------------------------------------------------

John approaches Jake, Vicky and Reginald.

Vicky: John? How's my daughter?

John is silent, as if to not know how to respond to his niece.

Vicky: John! Tell me that you saved Michele!

John: She suffered severe head trauma.

Jake: But she's gonna be okay right?

Reginald: I will call the best specialists to come help her.

John: Reginald you can call the calvary. There will be nothing they can do.

Vicky: No. No...no John you've got to save my daughter!

John: Her body is fine, but there's no brain activity.

Jake: What are you telling us?

John: She's brain dead, and she's not breathing on her own.

Jake: You've got Michele on a respirator?

John: It's the only that's keeping her alive.

Jake: Oh my God!

Reginald: There's got to be something you can do to save her!

John: Reginald she's brain dead. There's nothing else we can do. Jake, Vicky, you give us the word, and we'll shut the machine off.

Vicky (crying): Oh no! No! No! Not my baby!

Vicky turns her anger toward Bridget, who is also distraught, while Tyrone, Marley, and Donna arrive.

Vicky: You did this! You pushed Michele out into the street! You might as well have killed your own sister!

----------------------------------------------END OF EPISODE 15---------------------------------------------------

MCKINNONS HOUSE

Vicky is cuddled up with Jake on the couch, eating popcorn, watching a movie.

Vicky: I can't stop thinking about the girls. How they looked going out the door.

Jake: Seems like yesterday that Bridget was playing with dolls.

Vicky: And Michele was reading the newspaper at four.

Jake: Come on come on I'm trying to hear this part.

Vicky: Jake, I'm having a moment about our daughters. They're at that prom. Michele's with Cory, and who knows what Bridget's up to.

Jake: You know how to ruin a perfectly good film.

Vicky: Jake I'm serious. It's not that I don't love Bridget. I do.

Jake: But you always think the worst of her.

Vicky: No that's not it, but given the things that she's done lately, you've gotta be concerned.

Jake: You say she opened Michele's acceptance letter. It could've been an honest mistake.

Vicky: And I caught her texting someone from Michele's cell phone.

Jake: She's a teenage girl.

Vicky: This must be payback for what I've done in the past.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

HUDSONS HOUSE

Gregory walks up to his bedroom, and John has just finished taking the last hinge off the door, and removes the door.

Gregory: Dad what are you doing?

John: What does it look like I'm doing?

Gregory: You're invading my privacy.

John: And you will get it back, when you show me that I can trust you.

Gregory: Is it because of what I did the other day?

John: You guessed it buddy.

Gregory: I'm not using that stuff anymore.

John: Well I'm not convinced.

Gregory: Dad this is a little much don't you think?

John: It's perfect. I need to see evidence that you're not shooting up those steroids anymore.

Gregory: Well I stopped okay!

John: It's not gonna be removed from your system for a while.

Gregory: This is not fair!

John: As long as you live in this house, you'll abide by my and your mother's rules!

Gregory starts to have another steroid induced rage, and starts screaming.

Gregory: Maybe I need to move out of here!

Gregory runs downstairs, and out of the door. John futily yells for him to come back, but he gets into his car and drives off. John nervously mutters to himself that he's in no condition to drive, gets in his car, and tries to tail him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

BAY CITY HIGH SCHOOL

Cory and Michele are slow dancing, and all the kids are drinking punch. Bridget sees them from a short distance, pours a cup, and spikes it with vodka.

Michele: I'm gonna go to the ladies' room for a second.

Cory: Why? You look beautiful already.

Michele: I'll be back.

Michele walks away, Cory goes and sits at his table. Bridget seizes the opportunity and walks up to Cory.

Bridget: Hey Cory. Some punch?

Cory: Yeah thanks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Jake: Vicky you need to stop beating yourself over that.

Vicky: I have for the most part, but Bridget reminds me of that young girl who schemed to take Jamie from Lisa.

Jake: You are not her anymore. You're a wife and a good mother. I mean you weren't this worried about Steven and Kirkland when they were living with us.

Vicky: They were good kids I suppose. They both want to be like their fathers. Steven's a doctor, and Kirk is studying political science.

Jake: For Kirk's sake, let's hope that doesn't happen.

Vicky: I support whatever Kirkland wants to do.

Jake: I think you'll be sick if he ends up like Grant.

Vicky: You might be right.

Someone knocks on the door. Jake goes to get the door asking who that could be...it's Reginald.

Jake: What the hell are you doing here?

Reginald: Can I come in please?

Vicky joins Jake at the door.

Vicky: Reginald what do you want? You look a little worried.

Reginald: I am. You've got to get Bridget.

Jake: What about her?

Reginald: She took a bottle of liquor out of my cabinet.

Vicky starts to worry, but Jake refutes that accusation.

Jake: How dare you accuse my daughter of stealing?

Reginald: I adore my greatgranddaugters. I hope to God I'm wrong.

Jake: Bridget didn't take anything from you!

Vicky is on the phone with Bridget.

Vicky: Bridget can you hear me?

Bridget: Mom!?

Vicky: Calling to check on you!

Cory (slurring): Hi Ms. Kinnon!!

Vicky: That sounded like Cory. Has he been drinking?

Bridget realizes this, rustles paper in her phone receiver, and pretends that she's losing signal and hangs up. Vicky calls out to Bridget to no avail.

Vicky: We gotta go to the school.

Jake: What?

Vicky: We have to go now Jake!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While some pop music plays in the background at the prom...

Bridget: How are you feeling?

Cory (slurring): I feel great. You're so pretty.

Bridget: I am?

Cory: How many of these have I had?

Bridget: Three.

Cory: You're so smart. You're going to...you're going to Cumbia.

Bridget: Columbia.

Cory: Yeah that. Your dress is blue. What happened to it?

Bridget: I spilled something on it.

Cory: Your dress was supposed to match my bowtie Michele. You're still beautiful.

Cory leans in and kisses Bridget, whom he thinks is Michele because he's drunk. They both look up and Michele is standing right over them, devastated.

Michele: What are you doing? Bridget?

Cory: Michele. It's you. Wait? I thought...

Michele: You thought wrong Cory. I thought you loved me.

Cory (stands up): I do. I'm....I'm sorry. I thought...

Michele: You're drunk! What's going on?

Michele sees the water bottle on the table, and grabs it before Bridget can take it from her. She opens it and smells the vodka.

Michele: No. You got drunk.

Cory: It's just punch. Bridget gave it to me.

Michele: Bridget didn't do this...

Michele flashes back to when Vicky told her that Bridget opened her first Harvard acceptance letter.

Michele: Did you open the letter?

Bridget: What are you talking about?

Michele: My first acceptance letter from Harvard. Did you open it?

Bridget: Yes! I did! You're happy now? You and mom must work for the same firm.

Michele: Why?

Bridget: Because they love you more than me! You're smart. You've got a boyfriend. What do I have?

Michele: My God you're jealous! That's why you were kissing my boyfriend!

Bridget: Now do I have your attention?

Jake, Vicky and Reginald rush in and makes a beeline to the teens. Vicky sees Cory slouched on the table.

Vicky: Bridget what have you done?

Bridget: Mom what are you talking about?

Vicky: We know.

Reginald: You took the liquor from my cabinet.

Jake is shocked, and so is Michele, and Bridget runs out in shame to the front of the school, and Michele and the others follow.

--------------------------------------------------

Bridget and Michele are on the sidewalk.

Michele: Wait we're not finished!

Bridget: See how mom and Grandpa Reginald accused me.

Michele: You planned all of this didn't you?

Bridget: What?

Michele: You stole the liquor from Grandpa Reginald. You planned to get Cory drunk so you can steal him from me?

Bridget: You're crazy!

Michele: And you're a bitch!

The two start fighting, and as Jake, Vicky, and Reginald rush down the stairs to break it up, Michele stumbles onto the street, and is struck by an oncoming car....a car that is being driven by Gregory. After hitting Michele, the car swerves and crashes into the wall. Jake and Vicky rush out to the street and tend to a badly injured Michele.

Jake: Good.

Bridget: That’s not good dad. Nobody thought I was pretty enough.

Jake: I think you’re beautiful.

Bridget: You’re my dad. You’re supposed to say that.

Jake: I don’t want any stupid boys trying to corrupt my little girl.

Bridget: Might be too late for that.

Bridget flashes back to taking the bottle of vodka out of Reginald’s liquor cabinet, then putting the bottle in her locker at school.

Jake: Where’s your sister?

Bridget: Upstairs. The fashionistas are helping her get dressed.

Upstairs…Vicky and Donna are helping Michele.

Donna: Carry your purse on your wrist. Here put the strap on.

Vicky: No you ditch the strap and carry the purse close to your body.

Donna: Vicky do you wanna mess up her dress?

Michele: Hello? I’m here.

Donna: Oh honey. I’m sorry. Do what you want to do.

Vicky: I agree. You look so beautiful.

Donna: Absolutely exquisite.

Michele: Thank you.

Vicky: She’s going to Harvard in the fall.

Vicky: Oh I’m sorry. She’s trying to decide between Harvard or Columbia.

Donna: My scholarly granddaughter.

Mitch: A couple months ago. I was thinking about going to see him but...

Rachel: But what? He's your son.

Mitch: He doesn't think of me as his father. He probably shouldn't.

Rachel: Just because Mac and I raised him does not change the fact that you're his biological father.

Mitch: I don't want to push too hard you know, and I'm not trying to take Mac's place in his life.

Rachel: He will always think of Mac as his father, but Mac is no longer with us. You're here....and he's going to need you.

Tyrone: His letter of recommendation.

Grant: I just wanted to thank you. The Governor owed me a favor.

Tyrone: Once I put this together, I don't see why this person can't be released.

Grant: This will be great for your career.

Tyrone: Yeah.

Grant: I need a favor from you now...you can't tell anyone about my involvement in this.

Sharlene: It was the day that...Joe Carlino was killed.

John: That was the day of Grant's acceptance speech. Why haven't you told me about this?

Sharlene: I wasn't clear John. I'm still not. Even if I wanted to tell you, I wouldn't know what to tell you. Lately my memories of that day have been coming back little by little.

John: I'm not gonna push you.

Sharlene: I'm afraid...I'm scared of what will happen if all the memories come back.

Downstairs Gregory lets Frankie in. Frankie is holding the piece of junk mail with the Caribbean island picture on it.

Gregory: Hey cousin.

Paulina: He's been coming around a lot and I was just wondering how you felt.

Dante: Are you wondering how I feel...or how you feel? It's pretty obvious he likes you mom.

Paulina: I don't want to betray your father...or you honey.

Dante: I think dad would want you to be happy. Maybe it is time for you to get out there. Maybe give Grant a chance.

Dante: Don't forget handsome.

They hug....

Sharlene: You still get those premonition things.

Frankie: I haven't felt this way in a long time about anything.

Sharlene: Have you had a real chance to look at it?

Frankie: Yeah. This is an advertisement for vacation.

Sharlene: Frankie maybe you're making more of it than what it is.

Frankie: Not a vacation to just any island. Look at it.

Sharlene (skimming over the paper): It's a cruise to the Virgin Islands. St. John, St. Thomas, and St. Croix.

Frankie: Wait a second, St. Croix was where Aunt Janice was killed.

Sharlene: Maybe that's why you got such a reaction to it. She was our family.

Frankie: No Aunt Sharlene. There's got to be more to it than a piece of junk mail.

Sharlene: And my memories have been coming back.

Frankie: The day of Grant's acceptance speech.

Sharlene: Do you think St. Croix has something to do with my memories, too?

Frankie: I have no clue. Only time will give us the answers.

Amanda: We were celebrating.

Rachel: Amanda be careful. Oil and water mix better than business and pleasure.

HUDSONS HOUSE

Gregory arrives home, in his Bay City University football gear. He's breathing heavily. He looks at a letter from the university. It states that he has been declared academically ineligible to play football because of his GPA, and he starts to trash the living room. Before he can finish ransacking the living room, John and Sharlene walk in, and John rushes to grab his son, and admonishes him to stop. Sharlene seems unable to move because of what she sees.

--------------------------------------------------

REGINALD'S SUITE

Reginald: I've called room service. Food will be up soon. Oh you're gonna want your soda to be cold when it gets here.

Bridget: Your ice making machine is awesome.

Reginald: It's broken. I'm gonna go and get some ice.

Reginald walks out the door with the bucket, and Bridget heads right to the liquor cabinet, and puts a bottle of vodka in her book bag.

--------------------------------------------------

Amanda: Mom it was a drink, not the third date.

Rachel: That's how they usually start.

Amanda: I think you would have a little bit more faith in me than that.

Rachel: I'm just looking out for you that's all. You've been a little lonely since you and Cameron broke up. Alli's in California.

Amanda: I have you, Cory, Elizabeth.

Rachel: But you don't have a man, and Allen is quite handsome.

Amanda: You make it seem like I'm desperate or something,

Rachel: No. Of course not honey. I just want you to be careful.

Amanda: You're worried for no reason.

Rachel: I saw the way you looked at him. You're drawn to him aren't you?

Amanda: I can't lie to you mom...he's very appealing.

Rachel: I'd be lying if I said he wasn't, but be careful of mixing business and pleasure. You'll end up in a world of hurt.

----------------------------------------------------

Reginald and Bridget are eating their food.

Reginald: How does it taste?

Bridget: Great.

Reginald: I can't believe I'm having lunch with my great granddaughter. Your parents would kill me if they found out you were here.

Bridget: My parents don't care about me.

Reginald: Oh but of course they do.

Bridget: Michele just got accepted to Harvard and Columbia.

Reginald: Well that's wonderful isn't it?

Bridget: And I didn't. I got accepted to BCU.

Reginald: Well I could make a few phone calls...

Bridget: No I want to earn it. Michele's smart, beautiful. She's studies all the time, and she going out with Cory Hutchins.

Reginald: And what about you? You're just as smart, and equally as beautiful.

Bridget: Apparently not...mom always comes down on me, and she's thinks I'm liar.

Reginald: She says that because she sees herself in you. Don't worry about that. You can only be Bridget. You can't be Michele, and you can't be your mother.

Bridget: They love Michele more than they love me.

Reginald: Well if it's attention that you're seeking from them, then you're going to have to do something to get it. Demand that they notice you.

-------------------------------------------------------

John grabs Gregory by his shoulders.

John: Gregory! Get a hold of yourself! Calm down!

Gregory finally falls on the couch, and John picks up the letter that Gregory had from BCU.

John: They said you can't play football. You're a having a rage attack aren't you? .

John notices Sharlene who is seemingly in a state of shock.

Gregory: What's wrong with mom?

John: Go in the kitchen and get some water.

Sharlene flashes back to people running around in chaos.

John: Sharlene! Are you alright?

Sharlene: He was there...I saw him John.

John: Saw who? Tell me.

Sharlene: Somebody shot Grant.

BAY CITY CENTER

Paulina is having lunch with Dante...

Paulina (checking her phone): Your prom tux arrived.

Dante: The one I picked.

Paulina: Yep of course. Nothing but the best for my boy.

Dante: Thanks mom. Can't wait to see it.

Paulina: So....do you have a date?

Dante: No...not yet.

Paulina: Anyone in mind?

Dante: I was gonna ask Lizzie to go with me.

Paulina: Oh that would be nice.

Dante: If Mrs. Hutchins doesn't keep her on punishment. She says she and her mom fight a lot.

Paulina: That's what happens when you get two strong willed personalities clashing.

Dante: Yeah Lizzie is pretty strong.

Paulina: She gets it from her mother.

------------------------------------------------------

CORYS HOUSE

A man walks in with a tuxedo and a dress. Rachel signs for them, and instructs him where to hang them up. Cory and Elizabeth enter the living room.

Rachel: Cory get your tux, and Elizabeth, your dress.

Cory: This is so cool. Thanks mom.

Rachel: Of course.

Elizabeth: Wow mom you're letting me go to the prom?

Rachel: Yes.

-----------------------------------------------------

MCKINNONS HOUSE

Vicky sits on the couch in the living room, sifting through the mail, and Michele walks in and sits next to her.

Vicky: Hi honey.

Michele: Hey mom.

Vicky: Prom is coming up soon isn't it?

Michele: Next week.

Bridget steps unheard and unseen halfway down the stairs and decides to listen to Vicky and Michele's conversation.

Vicky: I ordered you and your sisters' dresses. They'll probably come tomorrow.

Michele: Been waiting for it.

Vicky: Are you going with Cory?

Michele: That's the plan.

Vicky: You like him don't you?

Michele (smiling): Yeah. A lot.

Vicky: So cute. You and Cory Hutchins, childhood sweethearts.

Michele: We're gonna have lunch down at the center.

Vicky: Well that's wonderful. He's a good kid.

Vicky sifts through the mail...

Vicky gives her two letters): These came for you.

Michele (opening and reading the letters): Oh my God mom.

Vicky: What is it?

Michele: I got accepted to Columbia, and Harvard.

Vicky: Are you serious? Congratulations honey!

Michele: The one from Harvard says it was the second letter. Guess the first one didn't get here.

Vicky knows that Bridget attempted to hide the first letter from Michele.

-----------------------------------------------

Paulina: So why haven't you asked Lizzie out yet?

Dante: What do you think she's gonna say?

Paulina: I don't know. You won't either until you ask her.

Dante: If dad was here he would tell me how to make moves.

Paulina: Yes he sure had game.

Dante: He'd tell me how to get all the ladies.

Paulina: Now now Dante, a lady doesn't like to be toyed with. Just be honest and straight forward. They'll respect you.

Paulina gets a text that Dante's prom tuxedo was signed for.

Paulina: Your tux arrived.

Dante: Cool! But nobody's home. Who possibly could've signed for it?

Grant walks up to them with Dante's prom tuxedo and shoes, and they both look up at Grant with a smile.

Dante: Hi Mr. Harrison.

Paulina: Dante can you go get a bottled water for me?

Grant: Sorry. I didn't tell you I was going to have the delivery intercepted. I wanted it to be a surprise.

Paulina: You're not gonna stop are you?

Grant: What's wrong with me wanting to make Dante's prom special for him?

Paulina: Because I told you we didn't need your help! You're not listening!

Grant: Look I'm sorry okay.

Paulina: Joe should never have worked for you! I told him not to take the job.

Grant: I wish he hadn't either, but let's face it Paulina, you both were struggling financially, and he needed a job.

Paulina: So you just gave him a job to protect you and he gets shot when you make your acceptance speech! What's your real angle Grant?

Grant: How can you suggest that I have some ulterior motive for hiring Joe?

Paulina: Do you really want me to rehash your history?

Grant: I told...Before Joe took his last breath, I promised him that I would take care of you and Dante.

Paulina: Why? Because you're a man of your word?

Grant: Because ever since you that day, I saw a chance...to be with you. I'm falling in love with you Paulina.

-------------------------------------------------

CORY HOUSE

Elizabeth: Cory I think mom's kind of sick right now.

Rachel: Cory may I have a word with your sister alone please?

Elizabeth: Mom what did I do this time?

Rachel: Being my daughter...growing up to be such a strong willed young lady.

Elizabeth: Look mom I...I'm sorry for what I said the other day...about calling you a slut.

Rachel: Honey...I don't hold that against you. I'm hard on you because I don't want you to repeat the mistakes that I made.

Elizabeth: I thought you weren't gonna let me go to the prom.

Rachel: Now why would I deprive you of that? It is gonna be an evening that you'll always remember. I would never take that from you or your brother.

Elizabeth: I'm just surprised.

Rachel: I know it's been hard since your father passed away. You miss him. Your brother misses him. I miss him, but we've got each other, and I love you more than anything else. You'll be on your own pretty soon. I remember when Carl was rocking you, and I was holding Cory. Cory was sleeping, and you were screaming your pretty little head off. You're always gonna be my little girl, and I'm always gonna want what's best for you.

Elizabeth (a tear rolling down her cheek): I know I can be a handful, but I just want to be a good daughter. I don't want to let you down.

Rachel: Oh honey, you don't. You're not a failure. You're a seventeen year old. You're my seventeen year old, and I love you. I wish your father was here to see how strong, and beautiful you and your brother have become.

--------------------------------------------------

Vicky: Your sister opened it.

Michele: Why would she do that?

Vicky: I think she might have thought it was hers from some reason.

Michele: Oh. Well I'm gonna go get ready for lunch with Cory.

Vicky: I'll talk to your father. We're gonna take you to Tops to celebrate.

BRIDGET'S BEDROOM

AMANDA'S OFFICE

Allen walks in. He has great news...

Amanda: You look happy!

Allen: I think the news I have is gonna make you happy, too.

Amanda: Well spill it!

Allen: Our people are out there making deals. We've signed ten writers today!

Amanda: Ten! Wow! Hmm I don't believe you. Let me see it!

Allen (showing Amanda his tablet): Believe it baby.

Amanda: Oh my goodness! Ten people!

Allen: The contracts should be finalized in the next twenty four hours.

Amanda: And only three of them are new writers. You know what, I think this calls for a celebration!

Allen: Where?

Amanda: Have you heard of Topps?

--------------------------------------------

BAY CITY CENTER

Marley waits a table and Donna walks up to her.

Marley: Thanks for coming.

Donna: Is something wrong?

Marley: Yeah...very.

---------------------------------------------

GRANT'S HOUSE

Grant opens the door, and it's not welcome company.

Reginald (walking in) Hello Senator Harrison.

Grant: I didn't invite you in.

Reginald: Oh Grant, I think you should be more gracious to your visitors.

Reginald walks to the bar and helps himself to a drink.

Grant: Yeah because sheep let wolves into their stables all the time.

Reginald: Come on Grant. We could have a great friendship. I mean, I think it would be in your best interests.

Grant: I only keep enemies close.

Reginald: We don't have to be that. I mean you scratch my back, I scratch yours.

Grant: I helped bring you back from the dead.

Reginald: And for that I am grateful...but now it's time for you to put your Senator skills to work.

Grant: For what?

Reginald: I need you to make a few phone calls.

Grant: Why?

Reginald: Because you adore your son.

Grant: You keep Kirkland out of this!

Reginald: You make those phone calls...or your offspring will be smack dab in the middle of this!

---------------------------------------------------

Donna: Is there anything I can do?

Marley: Is there a pacemaker for emotions? Mine need a jump start.

Donna (putting her hand on Marley's): What are you talking about honey?

Marley: We made love, but I felt....

Donna: Felt what?

Marley: What's wrong with me Donna? I want to give myself to Tyrone, but something is not allowing me to. Why?

Donna: Oh honey. I wish I knew. Have you talked to your therapist?

Marley: I'm on my way there. I just wanted to get your perspective.

Donna: I...I don't know what to say. I don't think you need a jolt of emotions. You love Tyrone don't you?

Marley: Of course I do...

Donna: Well then that's all that matters. You two will get through this. Don't worry about it so much.

-----------------------------------------------------

TOPPS

Allen and Amanda are at the bar.

Amanda: I don't think we've had that kind of day in a long time. You haven't even been here a week yet and you've signed ten writers. I think we've made quite a find.

Allen: I do not intend to disappoint boss...I mean....

Amanda: Amandaaaa...

Allen: Amanda.

They both chuckle as Allen's cell phone rings. He tells Amanda not to go anywhere; that he's got to take the call. He goes off to a private corner.

Allen: I've signed them. Yes I know what to do.

On the other line, REGINALD continues to give Allen directions.

Reginald: Good. Your payoff is coming. Just keep me posted. I've got things going on my end.

Allen: I don't want anybody to get hurt.

Reginald: You'll soon learn that collateral damage is always the necessary evil when trying to reach a goal.

Allen hangs up the phone and returns to Amanda.

Allen (grabbing his drink): Sorry that was one of the marketers. They had a question.

Amanda: Sure.

Allen: Let's make a toast...to success.

Amanda: To success.

As they clink their glasses, Rachel steps out of the elevator and sees Allen and Amanda...and becomes a bit suspicious.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Reginald hangs up his phone from in front of a door that with a name plate that reads Dr. Ben Taylor. Before he can walk away, he bumps into Marley.

Reginald: Marley. What are you doing here?

Marley: I probably could ask you the same thing.

Reginald: I'm...looking for office space.

Marley: Oh. Are you sure that's all you're looking for.

Reginald: Of course. What brings you in this building?

Marley: I have a session with Dr. Taylor.

Reginald: Well I'm glad you are getting the help you need. Have a good one.

Marley is suspicious of Reginald's reason for being in the building, but brushes it off.

-----------------------------------------------------END OF EPISODE 8----------------------------------------------------

MONTGOMERYS HOUSE

Tyrone walks in with his briefcase, and Marley greets him.

Marley: Hi.

Tyrone: Hey.

Marley: So...did you have a good day?

Tyrone: Pretty good. How about yours?

Marley: Good but not great.

Tyrone: Did you see your therapist?

Marley: I don't want to talk about doctors. I don't want to talk about issues. I just want you to make love to me.

Marley begins kissing Tyrone's neck.

Tyrone: Marley.

Marley: Want me to stop?

Tyrone (smiling): No.

Marley: Good, because I don't intend to.

----------------------------------------------

MCKINNONS HOUSE

Michele is in the kitchen and Bridget walks in.

Bridget: What are you doing today?

Michele: I don't know. I got some studying to do.

Bridget: Michele nobody's studying right now. It's almost graduation time.

Michele: Well I don't want to lose focus. I'm waiting for Harvard to contact me.

Bridget flashes back to Michele's acceptance letter, and grabs an apple out of the refrigerator. Bridget tries to feel out whether Michele knows or not.

Bridget: I thought they would have contacted you by now.

Michele: Yeah you'd think but, I guess these things take time.

Bridget: They sure do.

Michele: Well I'm headed to the library. I'll catch ya later.

Bridget notices that Michele left her cell phone on the kitchen table. She uses the opportunity to send a text to Cory, but before she can put it back down, Vicky catches her.

Vicky: Isn't that Michele's phone?

Bridget: Yeah, I was just gonna go after her. She left it here.

Bridget races out the door to avoid any more questions from Vicky, but Vicky knows better, and Jake walks in.

Jake: Why is Bridget running out of here like a bat out of hell?

Vicky: Michele left her cell phone.

Jake: Where did she go? Did you show her the letter?

Vicky: Haven't had a chance.

Jake: You look worried.

Vicky: I am worried....worried about Bridget.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

BAY CITY CENTER

Bridget waits a table drinking a latte when Reginald notices her and walks up to her, and Bridget perks up.

Reginald: Bridget. What's going on?

Bridget: Hi Grandpa Reginald.

Reginald: Are you waiting for someone?

Bridget: Not at the moment. Please sit.

Reginald: So what's going on with you?

Bridget: Same old thing. You know...mom favors Michele over me.

Reginald: Is that so?

Bridget: She says I'm becoming more like you.

Reginald: I'm sure Vicky didn't mean it in a complimentary way.

Bridget: I don't see what all she has against you. I mean everybody makes mistakes right?

Reginald: You're right. You're more mature than you give yourself credit for.

Bridget: That's what I try to show them, but it's 'Michele' this, and 'Michele' that. When are they gonna notice me?

Reginald: I notice you honey. Your great grandfather is always here for you.

----------------------------------------------------------------

HUDSONS HOUSE

Sharlene is washing the dishes while John sits at the table drinking coffee.

John: What do you wanna do today?

Sharlene: Not sure.

John: Let's drive to Chicago.

Sharlene (smiling): Hmmm not a bad idea. I just want to make sure Gregory is okay.

John: Gregory will be fine. He's not a baby anymore.

Sharlene drops a frying pan onto the floor, screams, and becomes terrified. John rushes to his wife and holds her.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Tyrone and Marley are in bed. Tyrone is kissing on Marley's shoulders, but Marley's back is turned to him...and her stare is blank.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Vicky: I'm concerned about her behavior.

Jake: Why?

Vicky (becoming more dumbfounded, shaking her head): She lied...so effortlessly.

Jake: Vick. Spit it out. What's going on with Bridget?

Vicky: I caught her texting on Michele's phone, and she lied about that, too.

Jake: Does this have something to do with what you said in her room?

Vicky: About being like my grandfather? Absolutely.

Jake: You need to get that out of your head. Our daughter is nothing like him.

Vicky: Makes me think of how I got with Jamie.

Jake: You're not that kind of person anymore.

Vicky: Felicia told me one time that I was a chip off the old Reginald Love block...

Jake: I don't see the point behind your worrying. Bridget is not gonna be like Reginald.

Vicky: Don't you see, Jake! Bridget opened Michele's acceptance letter, and lied about it when I confronted her!

Jake: You don't know if she opened it, and why would she keep something like that from her own sister?

Vicky: Bridget was the first one home that day. You were working and I dropped Michele off at the library.

Jake: Maybe she was just curious.

Vicky: Bridget is reminding me of me. I schemed and manipulated to take Jamie from Lisa Grady. Bridget is traveling down that same road, and it pains me to watch it.

Jake: I think your concern is unfounded! She'll grow out of it.

Vicky: Will she? Bridget is jealous of her sister, and it's growing every day. I'm scared Jake.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Bridget: Thanks Grandpa Reginald.

Reginald: Anytime, my dear, but I do want you to understand something.

Bridget: What's that?

Reginald: That you and your sister are equally as special. You are not more special than she, and she is not more special than you.

Bridget: Blah blah blah.

Reginald: Your parents love you. Your mother is fiercely protective of both of you.

Bridget: I came home the other day from school. All mom could talk about was how she wished I would be more like Michele.

Reginald: I don't think she meant anything bad by that. She just wants you to do better in school that's all.

Bridget: How do you know how I'm doing in school?

Reginald: Let's just say I keep my eye on you. I could hire a tutor for you.

Bridget: No that won't be necessary.

Bridget sees Cory and signals for him to come over to their table.

Reginald: Cory Hutchins.

Cory: Hi Mr. Love.

Bridget jumps up. "Thanks for everything Grandpa Reginald. Love you." she says.

Cory: Have you seen Michele?

Bridget: No why?

Cory: She texted me to meet her here.

Bridget: Oh, maybe she got busy. Guess you might as well hang out with me.

---------------------------------------------------------

John: Sharlene what's wrong?

Sharlene: I'm...I'm sorry....I was just a little startled.

John: Startled? Your scream was blood curdling.

Sharlene: I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you like that.

Sharlene has to think of something to throw John off at this point because she's not even sure why she had such a reaction to a frying pan hitting the floor.

Sharlene: I guess I had a Kate Baker flashback.

John: Kate and Sharly are not coming back.

Sharlene: Doesn't mean that they don't try every now and then.

John: You're too strong for them. I'm gonna go upstairs and pack us some clothes.

Sharlene: I think a getaway to Chicago sounds great right about now.

John leaves the kitchen and Sharlene has another flashback, but not of Kate or Sharly. It was of a gloved hand, and a crowd of people, and someone standing at a podium at Bay City Center.

CORY LIVING ROOM

Rachel has just asked Mitch to stay.

Mitch: Are you alright Rachel?

Rachel: I don't know.

Mitch: Is there anything I can do to help?

Rachel: My children need their father. He's gone. It can be hell sometimes trying to raise them alone.

Mitch: You're doing a great job. Carl is probably pleased with how you're raising them.

Rachel: Amanda tries to help, but she's busy at the office. I guess what I'm trying to say is...I need help.

Mitch: I'll be here for you.

Rachel: Mitch you don't have to do that. I mean you and Felicia are getting closer, and you should be focusing on that. I can take care of myself and my kids.

Mitch: You're always gonna have a place in my heart Rachel. You're Matt's mother.

Elizabeth is at the bottom of the stairs listening.

-------------------------------------------------------

MCKINNON'S HOUSE

Bridget walks in and calls out for her mother, father, and Michele, and nobody is home. She picks up the mail off of the table and notices a letter addressed to Michele McKinnon...from Harvard University. She decides to open it, and notices that Michele has been accepted to the school. She then flashes back to overhearing Vicky tell Jake that Vicky wishes Bridget could be more like Michele. Bridget puts the letter in her knapsack, and go upstairs to her room, but the opened letter falls out in front of her bedroom.

-------------------------------------------------------

P.I. OFFICE

Frankie greets her visitor.

Frankie: Thanks for coming. I'm just gonna cut to the chase. Do you know who might have wanted you dead?

Grant sits down across from Frankie.

Grant: I have no clue.

--------------------------------------------------------

Elizabeth confronts Rachel while Rachel is on her laptop.

Rachel: Have you finished your homework?

Elizabeth: Of course mom why wouldn't I? Can I get my phone back?

Rachel: Have you put it online yet?

Elizabeth: Yes mom I have.

Rachel: I'll return your phone after I check it.

Elizabeth: Why do you treat me like this?

Rachel: Because I love you, and I want you to live a full life.

Elizabeth: Do you think you would go easier on me if you had a male figure in the house?

Rachel: I beg your pardon?

Elizabeth: I mean, you told Mitch that you needed his help, that it's hard raising Cory and me by yourself.

Rachel: I can take care of both of you just fine.

Elizabeth: I heard you talking to Mitch.

Rachel: You were eavesdropping.

Elizabeth: You're looking for a replacement for dad aren't you?

Rachel: You couldn't be any more wrong.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Frankie: Come on Grant. Nobody at all? I'm trying to help you. I mean let's face it. You had a lot of enemies.

Grant: That was a long time ago Frankie.

Frankie: I'm trying to get Paulina some closure. She needs some justice. The person who killed her husband could have been the same person who tried to kill you.

Grant: I know Joe took the bullet for me. I promised him before he took his last breath that I would take care of Paulina and Dante. I would make sure that they had everything they needed.

Frankie: You want to help Paulina don't you?

Grant: Of course I do.

Frankie: Well then try to remember. Who would have wanted you dead?

Grant: Frankie I'll need to think about that, since I have so many enemies, as you say.

Frankie: It's important. It's important to Paulina. Do it for her.

------------------------------------------------------------

Bridget is in her bedroom, and she goes through her knapsack, and notices Michele's acceptance letter is gone, but as she tries to leave her bedroom, Vicky is at the door, holding the opened letter.

Vicky: You wanna explain this to me Bridget?

Bridget: Explain what?

Vicky: You opened this didn't you? Why?

Bridget: How do you know I did it?

Vicky: Because nobody's been home since the mail came.

Bridget: Michele was here.

Vicky: I was with Michele at the Center, and I dropped her off at the library on the way here.

Bridget: What about dad?

Vicky: Your father is working. Bridget why are you trying to weasel your way out of this?

Bridget: Why is this so important to you? Because it's Michele's letter.

Vicky: I don't have favorites! I love you just as much as I love any of my children.

Bridget: Yeah right mom!

Vicky: Is this what it's about? You're jealous of Michele? She's been accepted to Harvard.

Bridget: What about me? Do you marvel over the things that I do like you do Michele?

Vicky: If I hadn't found this letter, you never would have told us. My God, you're scaring me. You're reminding me of your great grandfather.

Jake interrupts and admonishes Vicky never to compare their daughter to Reginald Love.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Grant makes a mysterious phone call. "Someone's asking questions. You better lay low." he says.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Amanda enters the Cory living room unnoticed.

Elizabeth: Am I mom?

Rachel: Is there a point you're trying to make?

Elizabeth: Sure there is mom. Every time things get tough, you turn to a man.

Rachel: That's not true.

Elizabeth: Sure it is. The funny thing is that every man you've been with you've had a child. You had Jamie with Steve Frame, Matt with Mitch Blake, Amanda with Mac, and Cory and I with dad.

Amanda: That's enough Elizabeth!

Rachel: It's alright Amanda. She needs to watch her mouth!

Elizabeth: Why? Does the truth hurt? Face it, mom, you're a total slut!

Rachel slaps Elizabeth across her left cheek. "Get out of my sight!" Rachel exclaims in quiet anger.

P.I. FIRM

Frankie is at her desk when Jake walks in.

Frankie: Well it's about time you came to work.

Jake: Vicky and I had a little situation at home.

Frankie: Everything's good right?

Jake: Yep.

Frankie: Any new developments on Mrs. Jones's case?

Jake: I actually just came for a quick minute. I gotta go back out. I'm tailing Mr. Jones.

Frankie: You're good at this P.I. thing.

Jake: Well I learned from you.

Frankie: We have Ryan to thank for that. We used to run this place.

Jake: Yeah well I'm...I'm gonna get outta here.

Frankie: Good luck!

Jake bumps into Paulina on the way out.

Jake: Hi Paulina. Bye Paulina.

Paulina (closing the door): What's up with Jake?

Frankie: He's working on a case.

Paulina: Thanks for seeing me today.

Frankie: I just want you to know that I'm working feverishly to find the person who killed your husband.

Paulina: I know it must be killing you to have to keep this from Cass and Sharlene.

Frankie: If I tell them that I'm investigating who tried to shoot Grant that day of his acceptance speech, then I would put them and my daughter in danger, and I can't live with myself if I do that.

Paulina: I really appreciate what you're doing. It'll bring Dante and me some closure.

Frankie: You're my friend. We're gonna find out who's behind it.

BAY CITY CENTER

Michele is walking toward a table and her companion for the day greets her...Reginald.

Reginald: Michele!

Michele: Hey grandpa Reginald.

Reginald: How's my sweet, great-granddaughter?

Michele: I'm okay.

Reginald: Just okay? Well aren't you graduating soon?

Michele: I can't wait.

Reginald: You'll be off to college and starting a whole new life.

Michele: It's so exciting. All these schools are sending me letters and practically begging me to come to their institution.

Reginald: I'm glad that you're happy my dear.

Michele: Thanks Grandpa Reginald.

They hug, and Vicky interrupts the union.

Vicky: You stay the hell away from my daughter!

------------------------------------------------------------

AMANDA'S OFFICE

Allen walks in with a tablet..

Allen: I called a few of your old clients. Some of them have a case of writer's block.

Amanda: I guess what they get when they're older. I keep telling mom that we have to cater to a younger generation, especially with everybody e-publishing.

Allen (giving the tablet to Amanda): This is my business plan. Keeping the current clientele happy, while gaining younger, fresher talent.

Amanda: This is absolutely great Allen. I'll run this by my mom.

Allen: Why?

Amanda: Well my mother owns the company.

Allen: Your mom's not here.

Amanda: I'd like her to take a look at this. I'm sure she'll approve of it.

Allen (walking up to Amanda until he's face to face with her): You know what, sometimes you just have to go with it. You can't always run things by mama for her approval. You think it's a great plan don't you?

Amanda: This is a great strategy.

Allen: Well then, approve it! There's nothing better...than a woman who takes charge.

Amanda continues to find herself drawn to Allen.

LOVE MANSION

Donna opens the door...and gets a surprise.

Donna: Tyrone. Um..Come in. Where's Marley?

Tyrone: She's home.

Donna: What brings you by?

Tyrone: I don't know where else to turn.

Donna: Tyrone what's wrong? Is something wrong with Marley?

Tyrone: I'm afraid there is, and it's affecting our marriage.

Donna: Is there anything I can do to help?

Tyrone: I want to understand what she's thinking. She's becoming a bit despondent and distant.

Donna: Marley has been through a lot.

Tyrone: It's like she's allowing her guilt and shame surface again. She was doing well for a long time. I thought we were past it.

Donna: She still feels guilty about locking Vicky up in the basement, and the situation with Jake before that. I thought she was working through all that. Do you want me to talk to her?

Tyrone: I love your daughter Donna.

Donna: You are the best thing that's ever happened to her. I don't want to see either of you unhappy. I really appreciate you loving her the way you do.

Tyrone: I will do anything for Marley. I wish I could reach inside of her and pull all her pain and guilt out of her.

Donna: Just keep doing what you're doing. Just keep being the great husband that you are to her.

Tyrone: Thanks Donna.

They hug and stare at each other for an extra second.

Tyrone: I...better go.

Donna: Yeah....Marley needs you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Reginald: Come on Vicky, Michele and I were having a perfectly good time.

Vicky: Michele why don't you go wait in the car for me?

Michele: Mom---

Vicky: Go please.

Reginald: What is wrong with you?

Vicky: I'm gonna stop you right where you are.

Reginald: Michele is my family.

Vicky: You stay away from Michele, Bridget, or anyone I care about. You're poison.

Reginald: Why don't you let Bridget and Michele make that decision?

Vicky: That's why they have Jake and me. By the time they see your toxic ways it'll be too late!

Reginald: The more you try to keep them away, the more they'll come to me, and you and your beloved Jake will look like the bad guys.

Vicky: You're using them to get to Donna, me, and Marley! I will do whatever it takes to protect them from the likes of you!

After Vicky storms off, Reginald receives an email on his Blackberry...and is delighted by what he reads. He then places a phone call.

Reginald: The train has left the station. The plan is in motion.

BAY CITY CENTER

Sharlene and Frankie have lunch...

Sharlene: How's everything? How are you doing?

Frankie: I'm fine. It's great to be back home.

Sharlene: Well we missed you.

Frankie: I missed all of you, too.

Sharlene: Have you talked to Charlie?

Frankie becomes a bit sad.

Frankie: No. Not lately.

Sharlene: Why? She missed you.

Frankie: I know, and she also blames me for leaving her.

Sharlene: Well I'm sure she understands that your life was in danger and you had to stay away.

Frankie: She understands that, but I think she wants me to get back together with Cass.

Sharlene: Well? Do you?

Frankie: No...I don't.

Sharlene: Come on Frankie. You don't believe that any more than I do.

-----------------------------------------

CASS'S OFFICE

Cass gets a visitor..

Felicia (peeking in): Hello there!

Cass: Felicia!

Felicia: Are ya busy?

Cass: Never for you.

Felicia: I thought I'd surprise my best friend with some take out for lunch.

Cass: You got wonton soup.

Felicia: Yep I got wonton soup.

Cass: I need a break. Got a ton of cases I'm working on.

Felicia: We haven't talked in a while. What's going on with you?

Cass: You haven't returned any of my phone calls because you're too busy shacked up with Mitch.

Felicia: I'm sorry honey...I'll make time for you.

Cass: Suuuure you will. I understand. I can see that he makes you happy.

Felicia: I haven't felt this way since the last time Mitch and I were married. Just like you were when you were with Frankie.

------------------------------------------

CORY MANSION LIVING ROOM

Rachel is on her cell phone with Amanda.

Rachel: Everything came back clean? Great. Call Allen and tell him welcome aboard.

Cory walks in.

Rachel: Hi honey.

Cory: Hi mom.

Rachel: How was school?

Cory: It was what it was.

Rachel: Something's wrong.

Cory: How do you know that?

Rachel: Because you're my son, and I know when something's wrong with you. Is it your girlfriend?

Cory: Michele and I are fine.

Rachel: Well I won't push.

Cory: Maybe I'm just missing dad.

Mitch is let in and hears Rachel and Cory from the foyer.

Rachel: Oh baby. I miss him, too. So much.

Mitch watches Rachel's and Cory's embrace.

Rachel: Now, one more question for you?

Cory: What's that?

Rachel: Where's your sister? She's supposed to come home with you.

Cory: I told her but she wouldn't listen.

Rachel: That's why she's grounded.

Mitch has a suspicion where Elizabeth might be, and heads there.

----------------------------------------------------

BAY CITY CENTER

Frankie: I never said I didn't love Cass, but he moved on when he thought I was dead.

Sharlene: You might not want to hear what I have to say, but what did you expect him to do?

Frankie: Lila made him and Charlie happy, and I didn't want to interrupt their lives.

Sharlene: Honey, Lila could never replace you. You are Charlie's mother. She will always need you.

Frankie; All I would ever want is for Cass and Charlie to be happy, more than even my own.

Sharlene: You stayed away for years, long after Fax was killed.

Frankie: I did come back.

Sharlene: Under an assumed identity.

Frankie: I saw how happy Cass was with Lila. He moved on...and so did I.

Sharlene: So then it begs the question, why did you really come back to Bay City?

-----------------------------------------------------

MEANWHILE, AT ANOTHER PART OF BAY CITY CENTER

Elizabeth looks at five missed calls from Rachel on her cell phone, and walks out of a store with Dante Carlino, and encounters a surprise...Mitch.

Elizabeth (not pleased to see Mitch): Mr. Blake! Hi.

Mitch: Elizabeth, Dante.

Dante: Hi Mr. Blake.

Mitch: May I have a word with Elizabeth in private?

Dante: Umm..I'm gonna head home.

Elizabeth (pecking Dante on the lips): See ya. Text me later.

Mitch: Your mother's worried about you.

Elizabeth: Oh really! So she sent you to drag me home like I'm some neanderthal. Well don't worry. I'll go home on my own.

Mitch: I'll give you a ride.

Elizabeth: What is this with you? Are you trying to take my dad's place because you're not gonna do that!?

-----------------------------------------------------

Frankie: I miss everyone Aunt Sharlene. I needed to see my family. You, Charlie.

Sharlene: As happy as I am to see you, there's something off about this.

Frankie: It's sweet of you to worry, but there's nothing going on. I'm just trying to reconnect with the things and the people I care about.

Sharlene: You are just like your mother. Trying to be strong.

Frankie: Well I'm heading to the office. I've got work to do.

Sharlene: We have to do this again soon.

Frankie: Yes of course. I love you.

Sharlene: Love you, too.

------------------------------------------------------

Felicia: I'm sorry.

Cass: About what?

Felicia: You turned white when I mentioned Frankie.

Cass: Whatever gave you that impression?

Felicia: Because she's the love of your life. Of all the women you've had, nobody made as happy as Frankie did.

Cass: I spoke to her yesterday.

Felicia: And?

Cass: She said she loves me.

Felicia: Well then, you both should try and get back together.

Cass: There's only one problem with that...she doesn't.

-------------------------------------------------------

Rachel paces in the Cory Living Room when Mitch walks in with Elizabeth, and Rachel confronts her daughter.

Rachel: Where the hell have you been? I've been calling you! You were supposed to be home an hour ago.

Elizabeth: Dante and I went to have a latte and I lost track of time.

Rachel: You are already grounded, and I said I would add a month if you violated the terms.

Elizabeth: Mom I forgot what time it was.

Rachel: I don't know you insist on making things difficult for yourself.

Elizabeth: So what are you gonna do mom? Put me in jail?

Rachel: That's a thought!

Elizabeth: Why are you trying to ruin my life?

Rachel: Your life is my life until you turn eighteen. Until you pick up your grades, you are grounded!

Elizabeth: I can't wait to get out of here!

Rachel: Be careful what you wish for! Now go to your room!

Elizabeth: You're the worst!

Rachel: You'll thank me later.

Elizabeth storms off and upstairs, and Mitch walks closer to Rachel.

Rachel: Thank you Mitch. How did you know where she was?

Mitch: All the kids go to Bay City Center after school. I figured she might be there. I came to check on you.

Rachel: Well I'm going to pull my hair out dealing with that child.

Mitch: I wonder if you gave Ada this much trouble when you were a teen.

Rachel: You know what, you might be onto something. Everything's coming full circle. I was a rebellious teen myself.

Mitch: Ahhh see.

Rachel: I think mom has come back in the form of Elizabeth, to give me as much hell as possible.

Mitch: Well I see you're in rare form. I'm gonna head out then.

Rachel: Mitch wait....don't go.

NEXT ON BACK TO ANOTHER WORLD:

----Tyrone turns to an unlikely source for help with Marley----

----Sparks fly between Allen and Amanda----

----Reginald has a tender moment with a relative-----

Tyrone and Marley get a visitor. Marley opens the door.

Marley: Donna..Come in.

Tyrone: Hey Donna.

Donna: I'm sorry to call you on such short notice, but...I ran into Reginald at the Center.

Marley: What's my dastardly grandfather up to this time?

Donna: The same thing as he always is....no good I'm sure.

-------------------------------------

Reginald is on his cell phone on a mysterious phone call.

Reginald: These things take time. I will have everything in place sooner than you think.

-------------------------------------

Amanda is at her office at Cory Publishing.

Amanda: He's here? Send him in.

A tall, handsome, African-American man, well groomed, dressed in a sharp, crisp suit, shirt and tie walks in.

Amanda: Allen Lovett. Amanda Cory. Nice to meet you. You're here to interview for the marketing position.

Allen: Yes Ms. Cory.

Amanda: No call me Amanda.

Amanda is immediately taken by Allen.

-------------------------------------

HUDSONS HOUSE

Sharlene is on the phone with John.

Sharlene: You can't come home late tonight. I made your favorite dish.

John: I've been called into surgery last minute. Can you put some in the frig for me?

Sharlene: Okay honey.

John: What are you doing?

Sharlene: Just doing some cleaning while the food's cooking.

John: I just wanted to call you and tell you I love you...right before my consult.

Sharlene: I love you, too honey.

Sharlene wipes down the hall bathroom's medicine cabinet shelves, and a needle falls in the sink.

Sharlene: What the hell?

--------------------------------------

At Cory Publishing, Allen shakes hands with Rachel and Amanda in Rachel's office, and leaves.

Amanda: Well...what do you think?

Rachel: He's definitely qualified. The most qualified of all the candidates we interviewed today.

Amanda: Well I like him.

Rachel: Oh?

Amanda: I think we've found our new Marketing Director

Rachel: Come to think of it. I actually agree with you. Send his papers down for a background check. If that comes back clean, then he's hired.

--------------------------------------

Donna converses with Tyrone and Marley.

Tyrone: After all that man (Reginald) has done to you, I see why you're all skeptical.

Marley: You don't even know the half of it.

Donna: And you don't wanna know. So how are you two doing?

Marley rushes to Tyrone's side.

Marley: We're fine. We're doing great.

Tyrone gives a a half smile...

Tyrone: Yeah...never better.

Donna: Good...well I'm gonna get out of your hair. I just wanted to pay you two a visit.

Marley: Anytime.

As Donna walks from the house, someone hiding in the bushes watches her, and then turns his/her attention to Tyrone and Marley whom this person can see through the window.

Tyrone: Let's go upstairs.

Tyrone starts to kiss Marley on her neck, and Marley pulls away slightly.

Marley: Umm let's watch a movie.

Tyrone: Marley the movie can wait. I want to make love to my wife.

Marley: And we will.

Tyrone: We haven't had sex in weeks.

Marley: My therapist said we should do non sexual activities together. That might get me in the mood.

Tyrone: Baby we were doing well, and just in the past few weeks you've gone back.

Marley: Back to what? My old crazy self?

Tyrone: That's not what I meant and you know that.

Marley: Come on. Somewhere in the back of your head, you think I'm a nutcase don't you?

Tyrone: Stop using that to push me away. I love you...too much. I know what you went through. I fell in love with you then. You can't keep letting those memories come back.

Marley: And that's why I'm seeing a therapist, so I can work through my issues.

Tyrone: You're forgetting something Marley. You're my wife. Your issues are my issues, too. You've got to let me help you, too.

Marley: You don't get it do you? I have to work through what Jake did to me, and the fire. I don't feel worthy of you, and it doesn't make me feel sexy, and for us to have a successful marriage, I've got to get past these issues.

Tyrone: I'm goin upstairs. Good night.

-------------------------------------

Gregory is eating dinner in the kitchen and Sharlene watches from the kitchen door...

Sharlene: Slow down on that plate son.

Gregory: This is good mom.

Sharlene: How was football practice?

Gregory: It was hard. I'm so hungry.

Sharlene: I bet.

Sharlene sits across from him at the dinner table.

Sharlene: Anything on your mind? Anything you want to talk to me about?

Gregory: Me and Elizabeth are good.

Sharlene: That's good. Anything else?

Gregory: Mom what's this about?

She takes out the needle.

Sharlene: This. I found this is the hall bathroom. You're the only one who uses it. Are you abusing drugs?

Gregory: No of course not!

Sharlene: Then what is it for?

Gregory: It doesn't belong to me.

Sharlene: Then how did it get in the hall bathroom.

Gregory: I don't know mom.

Sharlene: Gregory Hudson don't lie to me!

John walks in the kitchen.

John: It's mine.

Sharlene: What are you doing home so early? And what are you doing with this needle?

John: Someone took my place in surgery. I was testing it for a patient of mine. I knew you would react this way if you had found it in our bathroom. I'm sorry honey. You can throw it away.

Sharlene: I intend to.

Sharlene walks out of the back door to discard the needle...

John: Greg...I had the needle tested. You're shooting steroids again aren't you?

Gregory: Come on dad. You know why I do it. So I can get an edge.

John: I've talked to you time and time again about what steroids do to your body. Why do you insist on taking them?

Gregory: Dad the season's almost over. After that I'll stop.

John: Have you had any uncontrollable rages?

Gregory: Dad. I'm fine. I'm not a patient at the hospital.

John: Son I don't want you destroying yourself just so you can be better than the next guy at the football field. It's not worth it!

Gregory: Lecture time right.

John: You're lucky I haven't told your mother yet. She'd make you stop playing football.

Gregory: I appreciate that. You know how important football is to me.

John: If I catch another steroid laced needle in this house, I'm gonna make you stop playing football.

FELICIA'S LIVING ROOM

Mitch and Felicia share a romantic evening together. Felicia lies in Mitch's arms as they stare at the fireplace.

Mitch: You know we should have done this sooner.

Felicia: Done what?

Mitch: Gotten back together.

Felicia: I agree. Long overdue.

Mitch: I always loved you. I wonder if I could say the same for you when weren't together.

Felicia lifts her head and looks at Mitch.

Felicia: Oh..and what am I supposed to say to that.

Mitch: I already know the answer.

Felicia: Is that right?

Mitch: After we were married, there was Alexander Nikos, and Sergei.

Felicia laughs out loud and lies back on Mitch's chest.

Felicia: Sergei! That was totally a marriage of convenience.

Mitch: You didn't love them like you love me.

Felicia: You're so sure of that huh?

Mitch: Yep.

Felicia: Prove it to me.

Mitch plants a kiss on Felicia.

-------------------------------------------------

BAY CITY CENTER

Cass is texting on his cell phone, and walking in, and he bumps into a familar person...Frankie.

Cass: Frankie hi.

Frankie: Cass.

Cass: I was just texting back and forth with Charlie.

Frankie: Oh...umm how is she?

Cass: She loves it. You know I didn't want her to go away to school.

Frankie: You and she were always close.

Cass: Hey I'm...going to see to see her this weekend. Wanna come?

--------------------------------------------------

CARLINO'S RESIDENCE

Paulina opens the door.

Paulina: Grant. What are you doing here?

Grant: I was in the neighborhood and I decided to stop by.

Paulina: Oh really?

Grant: May I come in?

Paulina (reluctantly): Sure.

----------------------------------------------------

Mitch and Felicia lie in bed after having made love.

Felicia: Have you talked to Matt?

Mitch: Matt and Jasmine are having a grand old time in New York.

Felicia: When is he bringing her here?

Mitch: He hasn't mentioned coming to Bay City.

Felicia: We can go visit them.

Mitch: You know I don't wanna push. The relationship between Matt and I is just thawing out. He thinks of Mac as his father.

Felicia: Honey you can't keep kicking yourself for not being there for Matt. I mean look at me and Lorna. We weren't always close.

Mitch: It's not exactly the same. I just take every thing as it comes you know. I don't try to get more than I'm given.

Felicia: He's your son, and Jasmine is your granddaughter. You owe it to yourself to be close to them. Have you checked in on Rachel?

Mitch: Not in the last couple of days.

Felicia: I think it's great that you're there for her and the kids. Especially since Carl passed away.

Mitch: It's the least I can do. We're all friends, and she's Matt's mother.

-------------------------------------------------------

Paulina greets Grant.

Paulina: Do you want some tea?

Grant: No I...I won't be long...I just wanted to stop by and see how you and Dante were doing.

Paulina: We're fine Grant.

Grant: Paulina...

Paulina: My son and I do not need you checking in on us okay. We're just fine.

Grant: I owe it to you.

Paulina: You don't owe us anything.

Grant: I've treated you so badly over the years. I feel horrible about what happened with Joe.

Paulina: My God Grant, for the last time, it is NOT your fault. Stop blaming yourself for his death.

Grant: If I hadn't been so hell bent on getting that Senate seat...

Paulina: Joe's job was to protect you, and he took a bullet in the process. I understand that it was part of his job. While I appreciate you checking in on me and Dante, it's not necessary okay. We're fine, and I don't blame you for my husband's death....so stop blaming yourself...okay?

--------------------------------------------------------

Cass and Frankie continue their awkward exchange.

Frankie: I'm...not sure if Charlie wants to see me.

Cass: Frankie you've got to break the ice. Deep down Charlie loves you, and she needs her mother.

Frankie: Charlie blames me for breaking up our family.

Cass takes a deep breath, knowing that Frankie's statement may partly be true.

Cass: If you hadn't stayed away, Fax Newman would've tried to finish you off. We all had to think that you were dead until the police captured him.

Frankie: Matt, Joe and Rachel saved my life. I think Charlie understands that I was in danger. What she doesn't understand is that you and I are not back together.

Cass: Frankie...

Frankie: I found out that Fax was shot to death by Gary, so I did come back to town...under an assumed name.

Cass: Anne O'Donnell. That was you?

Frankie: I had to see for myself how you were doing. You and Charlie had moved on. You fell in love with Lila. You got married. I had no place in your lives anymore.

Cass moves closer to his ex-wife.

Cass: That's simply not true Frankie. You are Charlie's mother. I'm always going to love you.

Frankie: And I'm always going to love you, too Cass, but we're different now. We're not the same people who fell in love all those years ago, and we can't get together because Charlie wants it.

Cass: But we love each other. Why can't we give it a try?

Frankie: I'm not in love with you anymore. In my heart I've moved on.

EPISODE 1

MCKINNONS HOUSE -

Jake comes downstairs while Vicky is in the living room surfing the web. Jake massages her shoulders.

“Are you still shaken about that dream?” he asks.

“Oh you mean the one I had the other night about you being shot by an Irish nanny, and me having the twins in the middle of nowhere. No I’m over that.” replies Vicky.

“Just one big nightmare.”

Vicky comes across Bay City High’s website and unbeknownst to them, Bridget walks in.

“Look at this. Jake…Michele is getting straight A’s.” Vicky marvels.

“That’s our girl..”

“I wish Bridget could be more like her. Less worry for us.”

Bridget interrupts them.

“Wow mom, dad. Tell me how you really feel.”

Bridget runs up to her room in disgust and Jake follows.

---------------------------------------

BAY CITY CENTER

Donna sips on her coffee when she is accosted by an unwanted visitor…her father Reginald Love. “Donna, my beautiful daughter.” he says. Donna looks at him, and back down at her coffee. “I was having a good day, and I’d like to keep it that way.” she spits. Reginald asks why Donna doesn’t want to see her father. She answers by rehashing the past about him keeping Mary McKinnon away from her family, and how he passed off Vicky as her sister.

“So what are you doing here? Waiting for a man?” Reginald asks.

“Don’t you have anything else to do?”

“Donna my dear, I’m just looking out for you. I mean let’s face it you haven’t made the best choices in men, especially stable boy.”

Donna jumps up immediately and tells Reginald to shut up.

---------------------------------------

CORY’S LIVING ROOM

Rachel and Amanda commiserate about a common interest.

“Mom I have the sales figures.” says Amanda, who gives her papers.

“My goodness. This isn’t good.”

Rachel is not pleased with the numbers from Cory Publishing.

Amanda adds that a lot of people are e-publishing and cutting them out as the middle man. She suggests they get competitive with the times.

“What about our long standing clients?” Rachel asks.

“I’ve placed some calls, but I really need some help at the company. I don’t have time for the marketing.”

Rachel agrees with Amanda and instructs her to look over the job site for resumes and open up a marketing position at the company..

--------------------------------------

“Can I come in?” asks Jake to his daughter. Jake goes and sits at Bridget’s desk, while Bridget lies on the bed.

“Bridget your mom and I love you…equally.” says Jake.

“Really? Why isn’t mom up here talking to me? She’s the one who said that I should be more like Michele.”

Jake defends his wife saying that she really didn’t mean it that way, but Bridget is defiant and insists that Vicky favors Michele over Bridget.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Michele arrives home, knapsack in tow, and Vicky greets her.

“Hi honey. How was school?” Vicky asks.

“We had debate team today.” Michele replies, “I’m tired. I can’t wait until graduation.”

Vicky playfully pleads with Michele that she’s not ready for her to leave home yet, that she remembers like yesterday when she had her and Bridget.

“You both have grown up so fast. Where did the time go?”

They both start tearing up and hug.

Back upstairs, Jake tries to comfort Bridget.

“That’s not it.” says Jake, “Your mother loves you so much. You and your sister. Like I do.”

“Dad you always know how to make me feel better.”

“That’s what daddies are for.”

------------------------------

“Michael had more class, and dignity than you’ll ever have.” spits Donna.

“And if the stable boy was so upstanding, why did you lie and cheat on him so much?” asks Reginald, “I mean you then chose Matt Cory, and Grant Harrison. The buffoonery just continues.”

Donna says with a father like Reginald no wonder she’s made bad choices in men. Michael was her best choice. Reginald further taunts her by saying he will teach Bridget and Michele how to make better choices than she did. Donna vehemently warns him to stay away from her granddaughters.
