Scott Groff won't get casted by NBC. Puberty didn't make him a WB hunk! And I don't think he's acting anymore.

Collin would be good(depending on how well he looks now), but I bet they plan on casting with some muscle-stud with no acting talent.

I think that Jonathan Bennett (ex-JR after Jesse McCartney) is a good actor. And he's hot enough to play Shawn.

Ooh, then there's Agim Kaba (ex-Aaron, ATWT) and Chris Beetem (ex-Jordan, ATWT). I think they'd be nice fits as Shawn too.

I'm sure they'll end up going for a no-name actor who's slightly better than Jason Cook

I wish Kyle would stay, I'm enjoying him now...I'm sure DAYS will replace Cook with someone who has even less acting talent, but since they got James Scott for a new character, they can branch out and get someone with experience for a Shawn recast.

I hope Mimi is not recast. Even though the role would be much better with someone who can actually act, and doesn't have a voice like a whiny drunk during last call at the bar, the character is way too unlikeable at this point to root for. The show should cut their losses and dump Mimi, since Patrick is leaving and rumors of Judi might go as well.

I am wondering why he is being recast.... I haven't heard anything about Mimi or Philip being recast and JER or some writer was planning on bringing Lindell back as Jan but I think that isn't happening, so without Jan, Philip or Mimi Shelle will have no person who wants to break them up so I thought the writers woudl think his a good chance to write them all off.

I would love Colin O Donnell. I wonder what he looks like now. I miss his traditional "when are we going to be a family again?" . One thing about him is he always made that line work.

I don't think Scott Groff will work. I think Days will go with a newbie but that isn't a bad thing-it saves money and Days has had real good success with newbies. They better make sure he has chemistry with Martha though. I would suggest Brian Presley but he may be too old. It would be awesome if Presley came over with his wife Erin-she could play Mimi but the character isn't necessary with the story seemingly ending so probably not. I would really like this story if they went in that direction with the Presley''s since everyone would be in Martha's age group. The Presley's have to be in their late-20's and that is where Martha is. Right now Brandt is the only one that fits into Martha's age bracket and looks it so Days needs to think about that because there is no need to go with college age kids as they have that with Abby and co.

My imagination is running wild . I have just wanted someone to hire Brian and Erin for so long since they both are great. If push comes to shove, just put Belle with EJ since that could work. Days has done a good job with casting recently so I trust them.

Oh please no! I never bought that Hope & Bo produced that kid. I remember toward the beginning of JER's first tenure, Bo & Billie were having problems (I don't think Hope was alive yet) and there was some Valentine's Party and they had him dressed up as Cupid, complete with wig, wand, makeup, peachish thermal long johns, etc.... My grandmother about had a fit "I wouldn't let em dress my kid up like that" That episode, for me, is the DE-Fining episode of Groff's Shawn-D.

I've never been a Jason Cook fan: I wish they'd kill off the character of Shawn permanently.

ITA: get a new guy for Belle.

A new Shawn would need chemistry with Bo and Hope as well as Belle if they insist on making them their match made in heaven. So far it's been hell. It will be very difficult to create fans of Shawn and Belle who are new ones in my jaded judgement. I love Philip and Belle, though. In my dreams, Shawn would find a new girl and let Belle and Philip remain the golden couple.

I have always been a fan of Jason's. Sometimes his acting isn't the greatest but he has great chemistry with Peter and Kristian as well as his past and current leading ladies.

I honestly think that Days will have trouble finding a replacement but hey it is only my opinion.
