Y&R Friday Nick Learns the Truth From Phyllis

I so agree that it was anticlimactic. I was just talking about it to my friend, and we used that same word.

I can't tell if it was the writing or Morrow's acting.

It was definitely Morrow's "acting." He's been messing up left and right. I don't have to be a fan of either couple to realize that Morrow is grinning like a jackal in scenes with Phyliss when he shouldn't, and scowling in scenes with Sharon when he shouldn't. His "acting" has truly turned me off both couples because he's trying to pull a Maurice Berhnard and it's sickening!!! Y&R actors used to be above crap like this, but now they're turning into agenda driven ABC actors who will attempt to sabbotage a scene when it suits them. (no offense to ABC actors)

The scenes came off as anti-climatic and the dancing came off as cheesy and juvenile. Morrow was so busy trying to show the audience "chemistry" by smiling unnecessarily, that he forgot that the scene required more than a smile. It required a bit of consternation, shock, fear, anger, guilt and uncertainty. None of which, to my knowledge, can be conveyed with a lopsided grin and blank stare.

I'm ready to move on to other stories and other characters.

Thank God for Peter Bergman. He is professional regardless of the crap given.

And where the hell is Victoria Rowell???

I don't know what to think of the revelation... only that I'm still not understanding how Nick can be up in Sharon's face one day wanting to be with her; and then the next kissing Phyllis and telling her that he'll stick by her side... while forgetting his wife. I'm just not feeling anything from Nick on either side, and it just shows how much this storyline is not working for me. It was slightly disappointing, like the paternity thing with the Winters.

I was expecting more, especially since Joshua Morrow himself said that Nick goes through all of the emotions. I must have missed that. Or it could be his acting. LOL! Another reason, IMO, I don't really care for Michelle Stafford's pairing with Morrow's Nick. A girl can only do so much to help her scene partner raise the bar. :P

I agree poohbear19. Morrow always plays Nick as laid back and cavalier, I don't really see the passion from Nick to either Sharon or Phyllis. Lust, maybe. LOL!

The reveal was very disappointing.

Nick acted like nothing ever happened; it was kind of normal news to him. That's horrible writing, to me. He didn't seem to have a problem with Sharon either. It was sickening.

I still hope he's the father. So what if Jack's the father? He's never gonna take the child away from Phyllis. And he already has two kids he never sees. He's a very bad and boring parent.

Prince Dickolas is nothing more than a dumbass. He's always been and will be. The "laid back" attitude is IMO simply a lack of acting chops. It's hard to believe that two of daytime's best females, Sharon Case and Michelle Stafford, have to work with such woodwork. Come to think about, I guess I know another male actor who has a lot in common *cough*Ronn Moss*cough* ;)

As for Zapato's board seat: He should go for it! If a weasel like Bradcarlton and wallflowers like Unvictoria or pompous asses like Dickolas can have a seat or at least major influence in NE the daring dog'd be definitely a great improvement...

Phyllis is very lucky that Nick didn't Hulk out and break the plane in half. He's not the most advanced male on canvas. Or he was until Phyllis put it on him.

It was nice to see Nick so mature, I assume this maturity is a result of Cassie's death. It's a nice, welcoming change of pace. I hope he keeps it up.

Once a bastard ALWAYS a bastard however in regards to Victor. Brain damage, schman damage. Bastard is as bastard does I say. And I love it. I think not even being a quadriplegic wouldn't stop Victor. "Iwillrunyouoverwithmywheelchair, JagAbbott and you will like it! Nikki, bringmemysippycup!"

Oh man, quadriplegic jokes never go over well. Christopher Reeve was my hero!

And if anyone cares I've updated my blog, Thursday, Friday and a Sunday special. Wheeee!

If this baby winds up being an Abbott instead of a Newman, Jack is going to act all possessive regarding Phyllis; and once the chid is born, he'll do whatever to take that child away from her... I don't see the two of them getting back together because of this baby (depending if it's his).
