Well this just sucks. I really liked this show! Damn you yet again ABC!

First Crumbs...then Sons & Daughters....now Commander in Chief.

I guess next they will be cancelling Invasion and What About Brian.

Note to ABC: EVERY show will NOT be able to deliever ratings like Desperate Housewives, Gray's Anatomy, and Lost....BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU NEED TO CANCEL THEM!!!!!

Yeah. ABC is too cancel happy. They are gonna have an ANEMIC schedule this fall. They're idiots.

I've heard nearly all their sitcoms are on death's door too. I am LOVING Less Than Perfect but of course that's probably going to get cancelled. Damn ABC.

What hurt CiC was the long break and the move to Thursday's at 10PM. Are they IDIOTS? I bet had it gone back to it's regular night, it'd be doing much better. My step-dad rarely watches TV but he loved CiC. He had NO clue it was on Thursday's until I told him.

ABC needs to realize they aren't going to be getting huge Lost/GA/DH numbers for every show. Although I have to admit some of their pilots in the works sound pretty good... but watch them pick the worst, lol.

Although I knew it was coming, this really pisses me off. This was a great show and had ABC not fucked with it, it would still be on. I hope they at least air the remaining 3 episodes, but I am not getting my hopes up.

This just pisses me off :angry::angry::angry:

What blows is that the numbers that they got BEFORE they were yanked for that hiatus...

Were WAY above what they were getting AFTER the hiatus.

Not EVERY show will get GA, DH numbers.

CIC was doing FINE where it was.

It had gotten a lot of the HOUSE crowd during the World Series, and those viewers went back to their show.

BUt, CIC was FINE.

This absolutely REEKS.

Well, it hasn't been ***officially*** cancelled, but it has been put on hiatus during sweeps, which pretty much means it's dead. There's always a chance they could pick it up for an abbreviated season as a prestige show, but it's doubtful.

I don't completely blame ABC for this. The audience was unstable after the show's first few weeks when House returned. The hiatus definitely hurt, as did the new time slot. I wouldn't call ABC cancel happy - they've only gotten rid of shows that have had steep audience declines over the span of only a few weeks which *is* not a good thing. If you want cancellation happy, look at NBC in the early part of the decade, LOL - they were cancelling top 10 shows for not living up to their expectations.

ATJ is also a lot cheaper to produce.

The last 3 epsiodes have been removed from the ABC's schedule, to be shown, hopefully, this summer. This is the third time the have taken this show off the air, and rumors have been going since January that the show was headed for this. Now, that may not sound like cancelation to you, but to me, it does.

    • The first show I found had Maeve dressed horribly, and I just shook my head and thought she must've been thrilled to be portraying someone much more sophisticated and rich. Vanessa's hats and gloves probably cost more than her AW character's entire wardrobe.
    • It is the least aware sobriety memoir I've ever read. No spoilers, but where was the editor to ask what she learned from all the stories in her life?
    • Well awards like these are certainly different from big name award shows in a few ways but this is an awards show, not a poll. Not the same gravitas, not the same cachet, etc. but an actual awards presentation show is going to happen. We Love Soaps used to have one. The Webbys, etc. various.  But if you are aware of a better place for this to be posted, then say so, but to be clear, NOT A POLL.
    • Ok I just bought Kim's book on Amazon... should be an interesting read.
    • Well, I think she's trying to be funny, and it's technically accurate, if misleading. If you leave out the Sonni part it's "Josh left Reva to (go to) Venezuela shortly before Reva had her miscarriage because of Vanessa." I guess "Josh left Reva after finding out the child she was carrying was his father's, and miscarried because of her drugged out step-daughter-in-law, where he met a woman with split personality..." isn't as "snappy". As for Robert, I thought he clicked with Harley and Annie, not so much Olivia. I'm on the fence about Sonni. Before Reva came to town, he crapped out with Morgan and Hillary, but a) I don't think anyone really had chemistry with Jennifer Cooke, who was not good, and b) I don't think the romance with Hillary was ever much more than filler. (oooh, Josh and Katie might've been cute...) But, after Reva, Josh was never really chem tested with actresses. I know there was some kind of flirtation with Jenna, which still seems odd to me (especially since Jenna was hiding a pregnancy).  But other than Cassie, Josh got involved with other women (from what I recall) when either he was out of town, or Reva was presumed dead. He didn't bust up with Reva and start dating around town.
    • Thanks for the info. Timm was a model for years, so one could speculate he may have done something like nudity etc... that violated CBN's moral clause. He was good in the role. He had an awesome mop of 80's blow dried hair that would rival Ted McGinley.....LOL
    • Before I met Reva, I really did enjoy Josh and Annie. The beginning of their relationship was really cute, the flirting and chemistry was there. I was fully into it, but then I learned who Jeva was and realized it couldn't sustain. I just read a few interviews that Kim gave online, and it's pretty clear she loves her wine, which I love. I'm a wine guy too, so I'm not surprised she had to have a little here and there to get through some things.
    • Opinion polls conducted by soap podcasters are not the same as "soap opera award shows".
    • Unfortunately, that period of the show would likely just put you to sleep. A part of me agrees, as I do think Robert is a good actor (better than I gave him credit for at the time), but I'm not sure, aside from Harley, how much he ever clicked with other ladies. He did have some spark with Crystal Chappell. I know there were claims they didn't get along either, although I remember reading somewhere (I think) a story about how Michelle was panicking when they had to film the rope ladder scenes in Venezuela, and Kim had to help her through...and Kim had also had a bit to drink.  (I hope I have the details right)
