20 hours ago20 hr Webmaster Dear Members,In an update to our February discussion over potentially abandoning individual monthly discussions and spoilers threads and replacing them with individual show forums instead, allowing broader discussion on the five current daytime soap operas, I wanted to inform you that on June 3, 2026, we began beta-testing the idea, starting with the official Beyond the Gates forum. While this does not mean the show's June discussion thread should stop receiving responses immediately, we hope fans of the show will begin using this new forum to discuss broader topics about the series without limitations. This includes discussing posts made by the cast and crew on social media, upcoming spoilers, interviews, favorite moments, fan questions, inquiries, reactions, and any other topic you can think of.With that said, we hope that by July 1, 2026, all five daytime soaps will have a dedicated forum for the aforementioned purpose, with monthly discussions and spoiler threads a thing of the past. Overall, the idea is that fans will be able to create any thread they want on any subject, with some limitations, of course. A daily or weekly discussion thread could still be an option, though it would depend on overall reply counts. To put things in perspective, the proposed changes are intended to support the future sustainability of the SON Community while keeping discussions lively and informative. This includes growing readership and memberships. As the beta period progresses in June, we'll be sharing new posting guidelines to ensure the appropriate formats are used, including SPOILER tags. With the change, I foresee that we may also retire the DTS: Previews & Spoilers forum, as it would become redundant. We'll see.
10 hours ago10 hr Member Right now, I'm hesitant about it and not seeing the perks of it. Maybe in time that will change, but right now, not loving it. Spoiler tags can barely be used now by some members, so I foresee that being a major issue going forward, especially if the spoilers forum (which I do like) is retired.

5 hours ago5 hr Member That would be my worry re: spoiler tags. I mean...a spoiler warning might be nice, creative font, or even what I do...be vague. But we will see how it goes.

Instructions on proper use will be included in the posting guidelines, which will be shared later this month.
