Mansi can play crazy well. (see the DAYS scene where Abby sets Ben on fire). I don't know wtf GH was doing but this was all awful. Lily Brooks O'Briant (Lily Romalotti on Y&R) also has endometriosis in real life, in addition to Mansi having it in real life. O'Briant explained it on her IG better than Mansi did. It's not just inflammation of uterine lining tissue, it's uterine lining tissue growing as lesions in parts of the body it's not supposed to be in -- such as intestines, the spine, and other odd places, making an extremely painful life for the patient. The surgery to remove the lesions can be done by very few specialists. Endometriosis affects one-tenth of all women. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/10857-endometriosis I remember, that when she was first hired at GH, Mansi said one of the reasons she took the role of Kristina was because they told her there'd be an endometriosis storyline, and she wanted to advocate for educating about that. But the surrogacy storyline was written in a very offensive manner. I guess the only thing the show did for "education" was give Mansi the opportunity to direct one episode in which Molly explains endometriosis to Cody. But by that time, I'm guessing few viewers cared and I imagine that some fastforwarded. As someone posted upthread, they gave Mansi the directing gig on her way out. It's a serious issue, but the show gave nearly as much gravity to eyemites. The whole thing was botched, and it cannot be blamed only on Haley Pullos' DUI prison term and the recastings of Molly. This makes *** two *** recent surrogacy storylines the show has written offensively -- Molly/Irene/Kristina and Lulu/Rocco/Britt. wtf is wrong with these writers?
