I would not have chosen any of the names of his children. At all. But to each their own.

The fact Australians all say they don't claim him nor want him back (even before his political stance) says all we need to know.

This insta-baby storyline for BLQ and Chase is really ridiculous. Probably the most eye-roll worthy thing I've seen since I started watching back in September. I'm hoping there is more to the story, like who this mother was and how she may be connected to the canvas.

It's not the most eye rolling thing on GH ever, but if Chase and BLQ just started the adoption process when they said they were and Chase getting demoted or the fact Brook gave a kid up for adoption already put them at risk for adopting in the future led to tension it would be more organic. And give Chase an excuse to sleep with Willow. Being all in on a new baby? 🤷‍♀️. Not dramatic enough, but this is GH.

I do think there is more to the story with the mother because of her tattoo they showed when she was giving birth.

We've talked about Guza's shifting loves and interests before. I do agree he adored Jax/Brenda in the '90s. He pushed them hard and passionately through multiple iterations. But I think he grew much more fascinated with Maurice after getting him back in '99, and was all in on S&C (as was I in the SJB iteration, and some of Tamara's early time) and the mob from then on.

It was obvious how little regard Guza had for Jax after returning to the show. Characters who had been his stated favorites and even creations - Jax, then Alexis (NLG used to gush about Guza in the '90s and shortly after he returned in '02) - went under his wheels multiple times, getting run down and ridiculed. I don't know why. I don't think he was ever interested in seriously doing Jax/Brenda after returning to the show. Jax seemed to be painted as an afterthought or nuisance to me in that '02 story to me.

I do think caroline may be right that he didn't initially get Sonny/Brenda, and I think if it was up to him in 2010-11 she would've ended up with Dante or Jason. But Jax never entered the picture, and I do think eventually all roads led to Sonny for him after he returned to the show in '02 (until he began to tire of Mo and moved to Dante/DZ). I have no idea what the planned baby story would've looked like in '03'04 with VM. I can't see Jason offering to raise Jax's baby, so it must've been about S&B fúcking again. Maybe. I don't know.

I think Guza was all in on Jax/Brenda in 2002 until people started talking about Jason/Brenda. What could be better than his two favorite characters together at the time? I think the Frons? obsession with Courtney made Guza really annoyed.

Jax only entered the picture with Brenda in 2011 when Vanessa called it on her run and they fired Ingo lol. All of a sudden there was something there. Still should have 100% made Alec Jax's kid and I will die on that hill.

I don't think a 2003 Brenda baby would have been Jax's. I still think it would probably have been Sonny's. My assumption would be the last kiss Sonny/Brenda had led to more and she was already engaged to Jax and they both dropped her so Jason took the burden on because Jason's our hero.

Was he? They had Vanessa for a very limited window of time and the marriage to Jason happened very quickly. I assume it had to be on the books from the jump. And we both know he'd teased it years before. I just don't remember them ever prioritizing Jax in that period; he was either injured or clueless, but generally impotent and out of the loop while Brenda worried about him to other people. But I also haven't watched much of that story in years.

That might be the correct assessment. I always thought they ran lightning speed into Brenda/Jax and the audience reaction wasn't great for Jax dumping Skye. I did forget Jax was paralyzed for half the time lol. But who knows? It's fun to speculate about.
