Has anyone ever really liked Brennan? Mesure was decent, but the character never was.

And yes, Brennan has always been lame; and Frank Valentini should be ashamed of himself for wasting such a nothing role on Chris McKenna, too.

Yes. lol. But it was greatly based on my love for Mesure who was hot AF in the V reboot and giving one of the best introductions of a villain...the main villain at that...on the sci-fi show THE MAGICIANS. And he played Brennan so well with both Carly and Anna. And under PM, I expected that to go in a much better direction. Especially with Anna who he was fond of first.

Now given all I just said...I do agree. I have gotten used to Chris's version of the character, but his days were numbered from the moment the Alias storyline with Joss started. And with the entrance of Random WSB Guy this fate was sealed.

Once he was out of prison I actually found him charming and thought Mesure had really nice chemistry with Laura Wright .

With the scenes today, it looks like they are building up to a Michael/Jacinda/Kristina triangle. I guess it's the ultimate in budget saving, having a cheap dayplayer be involved with two contract players.

Was that an old picture of Lucy and Anna in the background in the scenes in Anna's office? You can see it clearly in Dante's last scene as he sits down. Since Anna and Lucy were never close, is that more of the actors being close? It's strange seeing that as a long term viewer!

I don't mind the actor/character, gives us the story from the WSB but just don't like Anna missing out in this storyline. Also, Brennan has more chemistry with Nina than Carly, they should explore this...

I totally agree with Michael/Rory needs someone stronger but wouldn't mind being in a love triangle with Jacinda. It would give some time for the Jacinda character to grow...

I don't think it's McKenna or Mesure's fault. Brennan has always been a C level character. I frankly can't believe the character has lasted this long. Well, I can because of Frank things. Mesure and Wright were okay together, but Laura Wright tends to have some chemistry with everyone she's paired with unless their names are Mo or Steve lol. I even think she has a little chemistry with JPS, but Valentin is awful.

Anyhow, I just feel like Brennan's a character that basically has gone nowhere. He was never fully integrated into the cast and pops up to do some WSB stuff, romance Carly a bit, and have the same conversations over and over with the same 4 or 5 people.

I immediately thought Kristina had a crush on Jacinda and it does seem like it's headed for a triangle. Honestly, it would be nice if Kristina actually had a friend she wasn't related to as well. Unless Mansi's chilled out in the last year or so, I don't see how Jacinda would be an upgrade for day player Blaze in KM's mind.

I wonder if the picture of Lucy/Anna replaced another picture from Anna's office. Perhaps someone that is no longer on the show? I would have to check back at older scenes, which I won't lol, but I don't recall it always being there.

Hehe. Well, Frank is gonna Frank so it's not shocking he has lasted this long. I'm even shocked that knowing the character's days are numbered he is STILL on screen.

But I agree. He could have easily been integrated into the cast. I had said that when Mesure was in the role, the idea of Jason as an WSB agent was a stroke of genius. Jason came back and apparently wanted a different life than just being Sonny's enforcer. And being with the WSB would allow for Jason to still do action stuff that was not mob related while being involved in other non-mob stories but actual drama like the Sons of the Father storyline that appeared to be getting set up with Danny and Jake. Brennan offering him that job...as well as romancing Carly...and Anna...would have been another way to do so when Jason said yes.

Anna and Lucy are reasonably genial acquaintances, not friends AFAIK. Anna tolerates Lucy given her past misadventures, and was not in town for her more reformed years.

I do think Jacinda and Kristina may happen, but I don't really care either way. I find Jacinda tedious and the whole thing a waste of time.

Brennan has always been a jumped-up dayplayer, as caroline says. They elevated him to give LW a romantic partner when the latest attempt at Jason/Carly died on the vine and recast him to play out what is left of his story. He has never held much interest for me with any actor, and you could tell he had a clock on him from the beginning.

Either Jason or Lucky (or both) should've been in the WSB years ago.
