The idea of Sonny not being front and center of the show is baffling to me given how long he's been the core of GH for many decades. Could be because Mo is getting older which as I stated before does show in his scenes now more than ever.

GH is finally enjoyable again and I think it's because Mo/Sonny is not shoved down our throats five days a week. It only took 30 years, but the hold he, Carly, and Jason have had on GH is finally easing up. Mo sleepwalks through his scenes anyway. Nothing is lost by Sonny not being as important as he once was. Although, Alexis should've hammered him about her taking the rap for Jagger's murder.

Gio and Emma took it to the next level. Okay. They're cute. But I must've missed why she was wearing a bikini in January.

Nathan's return is such a bust. He feels so isolated and comes off as a bore. Why is he back when the emotional stakes involve a comatose Maxie?

It seems to me that they planed his return around the original timeline Storms was going to return as Maxie. We were probably going to get a few weeks with his return before Maxie played some part in it. And it all got derailed. So he has been treading water since. It’s almost as bad as Lucky’s return was because there is nothing. Whatever the twist is they are preserving it by having him just there not really doing anything.

They also dropped most of his interactions with Britt too. So her suspicions and odd looks at him will return a couple of weeks before Maxie.

Has it been explained why they chose not to recast Maxie? My heart goes out to KS, and I'm hopeful that her health improves. But they shouldn't have moved forward with Nathan's return if Maxie weren't around. Stephanie Gatschet (if she's still acting) could've been a nice recast. I don't even know if I'll care about this story when KS returns to the role.

I'm so so about Nathan and Lulu. Lulu has been an utter shrew for a solid year. But that seems to be more GH writing since a lot of the women are unlikable at different times. I'm surprised they haven't romantically hinted at Lulu and Dante.

There was a problem with the heating in the building.

Another place where the show has dropped the ball is with Ric. His return in 2024 was better than the returns of Jason and Lucky combined, and now he's barely on, with zero story. I guess the show only has room for one male sleazy lawyer at a time, and that position is currently being taken up by Martin. Sad to see Ric fall in the pecking order to Martin, but I guess that's Frank for you.

He seems to have been a casualty of the show wrapping up the whole story with Ava and Kristina. I would rather not see him wasted in the dross Martin gets, but they should do more with him while they have him.

I also loved the Emma/Gio stuff today - so cute.

I have such a soft spot for MEK, so I love Martin... it's basically just watching Tad Martin to me, but I'm here for it. I love how Tracy and Martin needle each other, it's cute haha.

I don't mind Britt/Jason, but Steven Burton seems stiff these days.

No explanation; per Storms, she requested the time off to relocate to Nashville and expected to be released from her contract. But Frank agreed to keep her on and gave her the time she needed to relocate, etc.

This explains a lot:

“Because I had two chemistry reads with him and my screen test was with him, I just obviously assumed that’s where they were going,” notes Bruner. “However, I felt like it at the beginning, it was months of this ongoing joke of, ‘I don’t actually think we’re ever going to see them together,’ because we would get a scene and we’d be like, ‘Oh, maybe this is where we hold hands,’ or, ‘Maybe this is where we have a kiss.’ We would always try to guess and then it was never anything romantic.”

So, they took matters into their own hands, in a sense. “We started adding our own things in earlier on,” reveals Bruner. “So, some of the stuff that you saw back at the Nurses’ Ball [in May 2025] where I held his hand at the bridge, or any time that he’s held my hand, that kind of became our thing. The hand holding was never something that was written in the scenes.”

Gio and Braedyn are smart actors, nudging the show into writing a romance for them, lol.

I’m fine with Sonny receding into Benevolent Grandpa mode but at some point they have to reduce his guarantees. He was a lowly number 4 in episode count for 2025 (after Drew, Carly, and Jason), which is some progress.

Yeah, my understanding is that Hearst’s availability is limited. I believe he also just lost his mother IRL, with whom he co-owned a business until a couple years ago.

The closest they got was a couple weeks ago where Nathan flubbed chain of evidence on a random case. That was a clear signpost. But that's it. Tiresome.
