And while I'm thinking about it...GOOD to see Kevin getting mixed into the plot again. Though I can't help but think about how his increase in appearances here is noticeable on BTG where Joey has been appearing less.

Didn't she only get that job in the first place last time because the cardboard villain of the moment (Cyrus? Victor? Shiloh? idk) pulled some strings? Whatever.

Probably. Portia never seemed very competent, but no one at the hospital really does.

Unless it vanishes by the time I catch up...I feel like it's building slowly, but surely. I really liked that BLQ finally started to call Chase out about Willow at the house when he knew better.

There is a slow build and there is whatever is happening now lol. I am sorry I fell asleep because BLQ and Chase are that boring. Unless I am trying to get inspiration for the world's largest blazer from Brook Lynn they are just dull.

I actually became a fan of hers because she seemed so hypercompetent and no bullshít several years ago, and BK had the authority to match unlike a lot of the hospital crew at certain periods. Then they got her involved with Heather and began dragging the character full time, and now she's a mess.

In other news Jason Thompson had an intv the other day gushing about Braedyn Bruner and wanting to work with her and explore the adult Emma, but insisting he was very very happy at Y&R. I do wonder.

Not largest blazer! HAHAHA

I admit that it has been a bit dicey when it's come to onscreen friction between Chase and BLQ. All of this Chase-for-Willow was missing that beat IMO. Moreso when the writers allowed for Willow to come in-between Chase and Dante...who already had friction due to the Gio secret. Which now that I think about...hasn't been played too much in this part of Willow's arc either. Still...I've been saying as I've been catching up that it seems odd that BLQ has not say anything about Chase and Willow outside of one scene. And that one scene did not seem like BLQ saw Willow as a potential threat to her marriage. Thankfully, the scene I just passed seem a little more energy of a friction. BLQ still doesn't seem to see it, but she does see how Captain Save-a-Ho Chase is coming across as. So sad to see that beat might fall between the cracks. Again.

LMAO. You sound like how I felt BTG up until mid last week or so. I feel that.

I just haven't been bored with GH though to be fair, you are probably more caught up than me. I tend to binge through it around my work schedule.

She probably was good at her job when she first started. I am just used to her tanking her life on a daily basis so I forgot.

I assume more is coming, but no one is ever angry in the relationship.

Like Britt, I would say the best thing about Portia was she was good at her job.

Well, you need that steadfast couple. I would say that would/should be Laura/Kevin. Part of the reason she actually told Kevin and I was impressed he showed up at her meeting with Sidwell. But I think it's coming to with BLQ/Chase. They already showed the steadfastness with the Gio reveal with Chase (in those foine suspenders) being her ride-or-die through that. They should have been there by now re: friction to be honest cuz Chase has been like a crazy person for a while now over Willow. Ask Dante. hehe.

I might be on an island by myself, but as I may have stated before, I truly hate the way Portia, Curtis and Trina are written. Portia is forever digging a hole for herself, Curtis is sanctimonious and completely vomit worthy, Trina has been completely useless since Spencer left and I'm finally saying it out loud, I think Tabyana is a miscast.

I think it bothers me because everyone else in town expect for Nina, whom I love, gets away with everything.

Then you have sanctimonious Dante, hausfrau Brooklyn, Lulu who won't shut up (she's growing on me) and last but not least Laura who is total enabler.

I just find myself FF all of the time.

This show was so engrossing when I started watching it again after the pandemic, but this last year has been woeful.

With all that being said, I record it everyday and never miss an episode, even if I'm not paying any attention.

And opposite of what you said, I'm engrossed in every second BTG. Yeah, I think they need to step it up, maybe a lot....it still it still keeps me thoroughly engrossed.

I definitely don't think Tabyana was ever a miscast. I do think this incredibly dumb material in the last year has hurt her. But you could say that for a lot of people.

The camera pan across the group reaction shot was unfortunately briefly deflated by showing Wiley's vacant stare as he calculated the location of the nearest container of Elmer's Glue.

When Wiley handed Sonny a Christmas cookie and mentioned that he helped make them, all I could think was “you know there’s paste in those cookies.”

Maybe that's it?
