It made way more sense to pair her with Jax then it did to randomly fake sleep with Michael.

Same.

I suppose I could see that. He did something similar with Todd and Blair re: Tomas from OLTL, but had Tomas (who was purely a HEA spoiler for T&B) disappear before she could marry him offscreen in Llanview which kept the absentee triangle going. And Ron would've likely continued that string indefinitely with Blair going in and out of PC had events not intervened.

Yeah. To me it felt like too quick of an arc. Jax was telling everyone things were so different now and blah, blah. Brenda immediately went to visit Sonny and he rejected her. I always figured they'd marry them off with the lingering notion that Jax was never Brenda's first choice. Carly blowing it up seemed too soon for a story that could have lasted for years if everyone was available.

The Michael stuff felt very tacked on with Starr randomly leaving. Olivia and Carly were legit musing that Sonny might actually kill Brenda if she slept with Michael. Like...I don't think Sonny would ever consider that, but multiple characters said that.

This isn't really a spoiler so I thought I'd put it in here. Cute pic.

Why the f.uck is Sonny, a literal Quartermaine killer in a Christmas photo with the Quartermaines.

To be fair, it was the 50th anniversary so Jax and Brenda could also be a bit of nostalgia given people still remember and/or like the Sonny/Brenda/Jax triangle and it had its moment as well as it would be the kind of thing RC would do.

It definitely could have last all year long if everyone was available, but I like what we got. Though I can't remember if Jax just upped and vanished after Carly revealed what Brenda did. If so, that was too quick for sure.

Sean Kanan's spit take on hearing the news that Michael might have slept with Brenda forever lives in my head.

Norte Dame what?

Quasimodo, he is not 😂😂

It's just the way he's standing, it almost looks like somebody had propped him up and when they took the picture, he was starting to fall over

I also remember those scenes when Michael, etc., would mention the name "Starr" on screen, they would silence them, likely due to the PP debacle. Eventually they just mentioned Starr as "Michael's Girlfriend" going forward.

One of my favorite moments of all time, in addition to him being super jazzed and proud of Michael lol.

I also never forgot how happily Brenda welcomed A.J. home, as did Robin later in the year. I was pleased those character beats were included despite that regime already beginning to sour on Kanan.

It’s like they took this picture just to piss me off. You’re advertising a Quartermaine Christmas with a man that should be nowhere near that family.

It’s wild how much RC and Frank hated Sean when they’re the ones that even brought him back. He was a chemistry magnet too. And then as the ultimate FU, they had Sonny of all people murder him after everything else he had done to him.
