I blame it on the fact these threads move fast. ;) We briefly discussed it when the show first started and we were all syncing up areas where pre-emptions were going on. :) Other than that, I stay discreet. ;);)

I completely understand 😊😊😊

And people were saying she can't act. LOL. She's amazing.

I also said in the beginning that her acting the way she was was by choice. Now that we know the "real" Hayley so to speak, its been fun to see how her facade slips lol.

Im guessing this has been her longest con as well which is probably frustrating to her and I like that it shows when she slips up.

She told Randy it was her longest one. Usually she marries the dudes, drain their accounts and runs. She'd already be gone if not for that liife insurance policy she's looking to collect one

One thing that never really made sense to me was why did she pick Bill? For a mark, why go with someone already married when its simpler to marry a single man. Like Bill has had affairs and Dani stayed. Why would she think she could get him to divorce and then marry her, his daughter's brand new friend that fast? Divorces  among rich folk can take a long time. Looking at Bill's life, im not getting why she thought this would be worth the time investment

BTG is eminently watchable, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Still, some things get to me.

-- I agree we're going to see Leslie exposed at Winterfest, but I don't trust this show to have that mean anything. What good is it if she suffers for one even and then we're back to status quo?

-- Time and time again, we're seeing every character give in to Leslie. Now she's going to get a major role at Winterfest (the backup to Dani?) instead of telling her no?

-- And why are we still watching Leslie sashay into the Dupree house??? Anyone with sense would just throw her out. I know it makes for good soap scenes, but when this is done on a daily basis, it's absurd.

-- Nicole is also on board for rewarding Leslie to keep her in line? Huh?

-- The way they're writing the Laura and Leslie connection is weird. Just adds to me SMH that Anita would even talk to this woman.

-- Leslie's bank account is endless. Ridiculous.

-- I agree with others that Vanessa wants to take Joey down, but again, what does that mean? We know MVJ loves Jon Lindstrom. I can't see her letting him go.

-- I like the Izaiah character, but it's now hilarious that he spends all his time at Uptown telling people he's going to work at Banneker.

-- Seems like Izaiah, Jacob, and Andre all get fitted for shackets for 80% of their wardrobe. Will they share fits?

-- The country club needs a new chef. Those meals all look like they're made for people on severe diets.

I've been re-watching some scenes and laughing uncontrollably. 😂 It's hard to believe there was a time when I considered quitting this show. We're just three months away from completing a full year... (Yey!) and what a journey it has been. BTG started with such oomph and energy... had a few bumps along the way and a brief lull period where I was falling asleep... and then a certain poisonous-yet-cute woman came in like a shot of adrenaline. Marquita Goings is a legend in the making, remember what I said.

In the future, they need to strike a balance between quality storytelling and what keeps viewers hooked and engaged in 2025. It's a challenging middle ground, as sadly... what draws viewers in these days isn't necessarily quality I'm afraid. We'll never see the soaps of the past... but I at least hope for something that is somewhat intellectually stimulating. Better dialogue. That's the least we can ask for. And yes, we should eliminate 2-3 deadweights that are dragging the show down. We don't have the luxury of time for experiments like this. We can't afford to endure absurd acting every single day (and continue giving them lines... writers what are you thinking?!) if we want to retain viewers. We need to cut what doesn't work before... it's too late.

I always knew there was something more to this character. The fact that they started the entire odyssey with slapping the sh-it out of her in the end of episode 1... meant something. To me at least. I don't know why but I always think of how Bold starts with Brooke opening the door to her mother's home, visibly distraught... and then the intro starts with a bang. You just feel it in your gut right then and there that this girl is going to be someone very important in the story.  The same way I felt at the finale of episode 1 with Hayley. It's that kind of "center stage" moment that makes me feel goosebumps.

I don't think it's going to stop her. He's still on recurring and the character has a clear trajectory down the road.

LOL, they really do.

I do think they've skipped a few steps re: Leslie to get her more immersed in the social fabric of Fairmont Crest and some I can forgive, but Ted deciding to go for bygones with her and try friendship was the worst of them. You needed at least another 4-6 months of story and some other good deeds from her to make that remotely realistic. They clearly love Trisha and the character and want to make Leslie more layered, and sometimes they succeed but other times it feels like even those beats are on fast forward. Which again gives B&B house style to me.

The Eva/Kat wars on social media are good for the show. Those fans are ride or die for both. I do agree there needs to be a Banneker set.

The Hayley poisoning Bill story continues to mimic the Janice Frame poisoning Mac Cory on Another World in 1980.  Hayley will take Bill to St. Barts to give him his final fatal dose of poison like Janice took Mac to St. Croix to give him his final fatal dose of poison.  Dani will swoop in and save Bill at the last minute.

I have one issue with Dani saving Bill, which will probably happen... I agree. My issue is what this tells me... it's that a man can cheat like a pig and f-ck your family friend that you invited in your house... and then you have to still be the one coming to save him from the turned-to-be-psycho opportunist.

It would be better if Naomi was the one to save him and less predictable. She let Hayley into their lives and it would be fitting for her to doing the rescuing. I think it might happen that way because the writers have made it a point for Naomi to really know Hayley's personality.

I went YouTube searching and found the scene with Janice Frame and Rachel Cory. That disturbed smile that she gives Rachel in the 3/14/1980 cliffhanger was insanely good acting on Christine Jones' part.

I'm into it. Only if they spring for a real remote!

I'll pass on Naomi, who has been disposable to me since almost Day 1. My only interest is in seeing if she sleeps with Izaiah at some point.

I like that idea... Even though I think it's predestined to be Dani. But then I hope she dumps him at some point. He needs to beg and be told - No, thanks. If Dani let's him that easy back... Then I hope she loads her gun well next time he brings some tramp home. Because history will be repeating itself. Once a cheater, always a cheater. 😂

The other thing with Leslie, in fairness, is they are clearly setting her up to take the fall at Winterfest. A lot of her newfound connections or free movement has come too easily and now she is about to get in big trouble. Which works for me. I'll bet that leech Jan stays by her side though!

I was just out in Canton Georgia and it’s completely decorated for Christmas. Thanksgiving no longer exists.
