I think so. They're building so many stories to come to a head there

I agree, and the script work by Teresa Zimmerman and Lynn Martin proved that today.

And they are doing a great job of setting it up, too. Come thru, Event!!! We are overdue another one.

On for sure. Just about every town and/or city here in the US for sure have some variety. Some even in the same city. I know here in San Diego, there's a big event called December Nights at the park that's a 2 night event (and has all kinds of traffic mess ;) ), but I believe there will also be some winterfest-y event fairly soon in Little Italy here as well.

How did I not know you were in San Diego, too??? 😳😳😳

I never heard of "winterfest" until BTG mentioned it.   That's why I googled and posted about it, because it was an entirely new idea (for me).  I guess it's fairly common, but I had no idea until now.

I know that feeling. I continue to be shocked that each segment of the city has its own Farmers Market due to how rare I'm off on specific days and I stumble into them.

I blame it on the fact these threads move fast. ;) We briefly discussed it when the show first started and we were all syncing up areas where pre-emptions were going on. :) Other than that, I stay discreet. ;);)

Leslie intimidating Laura reminded me of when Alex Olanov said something to scare the crap out of Addie on One Life to Live. It is so transparent that Leslie is about to get in trouble for what she did, but how it plays out will be interesting to see.

Hayley slipped a bit by showing a little too much concern about Izaiah being a prospect for Ashley, but Bill is too clueless to pick up on that. And speaking for Izaiah, Leslie was quite interested in him so I'm wondering if she's going to be a Marian Colby. That would be hard to do from jail, though.

I'm finally up to date. And what can I say... even though the dialogue varies from one episode to the next... and it's not at the level I would want it to be... it's still much better than anything else that wants to call itself a soap opera on CBS. It's exciting... it's fun and the characters are alive. What more can I want at this point? Just for the Hamilton Widow storyline... I'm hooked enough to tolerate Ashley and her idiocy. I would love to see the ratings go up, up, up like they were going for a few weeks without pause. Maybe a little more promo wouldn't harm anyone actually. There are so many moments on this show that could get viral, yet I don't see them uploaded anywhere as clips. They need to work on this more. We live in 2025. People don't know that something exists if they are not constantly reminded of it. That's the junk-food era of scrolling we live in and we can't ignore it.

And people were saying she can't act. LOL. She's amazing.

Naomi is such a miserable bitch, I wish Hayley was poisoning her.

SPS and Anita = Great on screen chemistry

SPS scaring Laura will never not amuse me, but I do wish they keep SPS from being exposed for causing Laura's accident.   It could be something that flares up on occasion, but never being able to prove it.   Phyllis and her role in the hit and run against the Bug and Paul took years to be exposed... but the show doesn't seem to understand proper pacing so I'm sure she'll be exposed at Winterfest.

The one thing I noticed about this show is that characters will pop up in the middle of the episode that weren't included in the cold opening of the episode.  It's a nice surprise.

Lastly, it's been a month since Guza left his position... and I notice some subtle changes in some of the stories (i.e. it seems like Ashley/Andre are not going to be a thing except for an awkward encounter here and there, Derek's ruse was exposed, and Eva/SPS seem more like a close mom/daughter than a toxic situation).

Any of the two insufferable pseudo-Saints... (Naomi and Ashley)

Yep. The show is getting better and better if you ask me. And please LESS of the mob stuff now that he's gone. It's so outdated and stupid... we don't need this in 2025.

I'm fine with Leslie being exposed at Winterfest at this point. A lot of people are getting really tired of Leslie constantly winning over the Duprees and them just standing there and doing absolutely nothing. Plus Leslie (and Eva to a lesser degree), are long overdue for a comeuppance. The fact that these two are practically eating screentime for days on end is really hurting the show in the long run. At least if Leslie gets exposed for what she did to Laura and receives an acceptable type of punishment, we can finally move on to other stories.

Very old school Y&R which I love.
