Right, and it’s not like they were freeing up Lily to be with Cane again if they are earmarking him for Phyllis, unless they’re intending to play a love triangle down the line (in that case, they could have kept Damian). Odd that they wouldn’t continue to play the Lily/Cane tension if he’s growing closer to Phi Phi anyway. This show just sucks.

It's really just not worth ever giving them credit for anything. I was all "ok, this retcon of Amy is really silly and pointless, and the Dumas stuff and Holden pretending to be Damien is unwatchable, but at least the new actor playing Damien is really good..." and the show is all, nope, don't get attached. Ok. Won't make that mistake again. Not that there is anything to get remotely excited about.

I liked the story idea of Damian staying where he should have been (head of Dumas) and they continued Damian/Lily...only for Lily to find out Cane (if BF had to be him) was working there. And given the uptake in Lily vs Giggly Heffa catfights this year...most of which have been great actually cuz who knew Lily had bite...they could make that quartet if they were bringing on BF to wind up with Phyllis.

Lily should’ve been much more antagonistic towards Phyllis over the years given her involvement in Dru’s death (and the fact that Dru despised her). CK has really improved as an actress in recent years. But it’s largely been wasted, as it has for all of Y&R’s talented actors. 

Maybe Jermaine Rivers can take his talents to BtG, perhaps as a brother to Bill or Ted.

CK really has. I enjoyed her Vicious Lil phase where she was cunning and giving it in the 'what passed for business stories' arena on this show now. I felt as well Lily should be more antagonistic with Phyllis so it's been great to watch that happen over the last few years and the dialogue really stepped it up in the last year for those catfights. A needed bright spot when I was regularly viewing.
