I am just as shocked, and only mentioned it as a hope that we consider it in future discussion.

Most definitely considered moving forward.

I will probably be echoing Ranger, but I had no idea until today. Figured it might be health related. That article gives clarity which, while not owed, it is still good to have. I hope for KS to have a safe surgery and speedy recovery. And my comments were also not meant to be vicious toward her.

Now the writing team with this story on the other hand...the nicest thing with this knowledge in mind is the same as Ranger as well...I hope they have plotted the Nathan storyline with this mind. Cuz I also don't see how it can work. Unless of course, it's not...well...him.

I didn't know about Kirsten Storms' health problems until I saw your post, and then I did read the websites. I am sorry she's going through this, and like everyone else, I hope she pulls through this and quickly gets back to good health.

I have made comments about Storms' GH absences here, as have others. Could I have been more sensitive and shown more grace? Of course. Any explanation I give will come off like an excuse. I'll say only that none of my comments about her were vicious.

In the meantime, GH still has a Maxie problem. Kirsten talked about possibly returning in November, and now we know that's not going to happen. I only hope GH and the writers knew about this when they plotted Nathan's return. If not, it's hard to see how this story works.

I think hindsight is 20/20 and we only knew what we knew yesterday from Kirsten's own statements.  Things changed today.   I don't believe anyone here was being outright cruel here.

I wish Storms a speedy recovery and hope she can finally get to the bottom of her health issues.  It must be frustrating, and I am sorry this is happening to her.

You are correct in stating the show still has a Maxie problem and now a larger one.  I was slightly confused by her posts, so I don't know how long her recovery process will be.  Personally, I think the show should give her ample time to truly get healthy and write Spinelli/Maxie off in a happier fashion.  Perhaps an extended spa/rehab facility where we know Maxie is out of the coma but still needs treatment.   James/Georgie/Bailey can stay with Mac/Felicia.   Figure the rest out when KS is up to it.

I have no clue what to do with Nathan.  You can always go with prolonged amnesia or something to stall the process.  I would probably let him complete his arc and dump Nathan though.

Michael played the hell out of Willow and Nina.

Chad could not pull this off, so another plus for recasting here! What I love is that for years, he was essentially a kind person who was not hysterical or plagued by mental illness like Carly and Sonny. And being burned has kind of radicalized him. This is some straight up old school Quartermaine behavior. Something Tracy would be able to pull off (even if only temporarily).

Chad occasionally had moments like this, but they were fleeting after the first year or two. Carlivati and Frank also didn't let the vengeful Michael enraged at Sonny and Carly in 2014 go far enough, though IMO Chad worked very hard in his first 5-6 years. His Michael was always sort of caught between being the doe-eyed innocent and plunging deep into the dark stuff he was given when he first arrived at the show, and eventually he stopped trying onscreen as the post-Guza scripts largely reduced him to another clueless male dancing in the Nurses Ball strip show. I do think RG comes by this kind of material much more naturally and with more command.

I definitely think Chad could have done it if given a chance before he checked out.  RG comes off more cold than Duell and his puppy dog eyes though.

I think some of the problem was trying to fit Chad into a romantic lead and it didn't work at all.  He never had chemistry with anyone.

I think he had chemistry with some people, but the writing wasn't there and usually the interesting female leads for him weren't either. (I was very fond of pitching an unusual Michael/Maxie pairing with Michael as the straight man opposite her, but that was my thing lol) I actually do think Michael and Starr worked, but they were very saccharine and all the depth was drained from his character, like most of the men on the show once Cartini arrived.

When they actually start hiring new women on contract and not just more recurring hookers on the come-up for Gibson then I'll be pleased.

To me, he only had chemistry with his on-screen sister when Lexi played her and some with Abby.

Starr and Michael were fine, I suppose, but so many things had to happen to make it work and then she just left lol.

Nathan has been back for a couple of weeks and it already feels like his storyline is played out, that there's no where to go with the character 😴

Why did they bring him back? I would have rather have seen them bring back one of Monica's dead children, AJ, Emily, or even Dawn. Hopefully they still do that, and reveal one of them as the person behind Ronnie.

I love Jane Elliot, but she really needs to add a little nuance and empathy to scenes where she's full on attacking someone. It gets grating 😖 The writing is to blame too. This Ronnie story and its dialogue is so cookie cutter and predictable; we've seen these scenes a thousand times.

Nathan was played out before he even appeared😂

I do find it funny that Nathan and Britt came back from the dead and just automatically assumed they could just get their lives back like nothing happened.

Agreed. They've jumped through hoops to bring back characters from the dead like Jake and Nathan. But Emily AJ and Alan ....perhaps even Georgie couldn't have been resurrected? I like Nathan but someone like AJ re-returning could have a bigger impact on the canvas especially where Sonny, Ava, Carly, Michael, and Monica's estate are concerned.

Not sure why the GH Youtube channel uploaded a deleted scene for the first time in four years, but deleted scenes always interest me so you may feel the same way.

It's Brook Lynn and Chase (I can already see you walking away), before Monica's funeral.

Rumors abounded at the time that Frank and Ron were going to bring Alan back, and Emily too. But Stuart was not in good health and they shifted away from Robin discovering more people were alive during the 50th, besides her and Duke.

AJ was brought back, the audience went for it, and he should have still be there. SK was a chemistry machine with both Liz and Carly. It’s still such a shame.

I think Duell had his moments, and I loved him for the first few years of his run. He was a nice counterbalance to his parent’s constant selfishness and drama. He had great big brother energy with Kristina, Morgan and Molly (I know Molly is not his sibling, but she might as well be). But somewhere around AJ dying again, Starr to Kiki he just became a bore. The only sparks I have seen from him in years was when he was bff’s with Chase, and we know none of them were going there.
