-- Randy's text about the potion ("Use a little at a time, let it build up") was HILARIOUS for its vague directions.

😂😂😂😂 OMG. I'M CRYING from laughter right now. I almost imagine something like this.

Poor Jacob.

But at the same time, I really think Jibre Hordges got a chance to flex his acting muscles today. I'm interested in seeing where he and Naomi go from here.

Jacob needs to go after Smitty.

I finally watched an episode late last night, and even though it was nice seeing Laura and Mona with Nicole, the show was boring and repetitive with Anita and Vernon and Dani talking to.

Very interesting that Andre is apprehensive about having his picture taken. There might be some dirt for Bill to find after all.

I trust they're going to make it make sense if there's some suspicious reason Andre won't have his picture taken.

After all, it's only been in the last year that he stopped taking photos, and he hasn't scrubbed his pics and information from the Internet. It's not like he's in hiding.

IA, F Naomi! She is a forever victim and shame on her for letting Jacob lament and dote over her and proceed to having sex with him without telling him her big news.  She's emotionally manipulative but comes across high and mighty

OK.

So... you all know how much I love The Hamilton Widow, but I got to be honest. These endless surprises and twists are exhausting. I'm not talking about Hayley. I'm talking - in general. About the whole show and the style of storytelling. I'm just seeing how people are expecting more and more twists and hidden secrets and I'm really dizzy at this point. Is this a soap opera or Perez Hilton's tabloid world? Can't they just give me a straightforward story... from A to B without all the tabloid reveals and hidden agendas? Enough with the "wink wink, did you catch that?" nonsense. I want to know the characters inside out to care about them and I want to feel the slow build up of the plot. I want all the beats. Not just the secret and the reveal. And for the love of God, when writing scripts, show us, don’t just tell us. Stop force feeding us character descriptions!!! Stop telling me who is good and who is bad. Instead, put these people in situations that reveal who they are. SITUATIONS. It’s very easy and veeeery cheap to constantly paint one a saint and the other a devil... but I need more depth. This is not cutting it.

Not being negative, just honest.

I also like that they're digging into Andre's past now.

Overall, things are starting to gel for me right now.

I still have my quibbles (BOY do I ever) but the show at least has been fun for me to watch more often than not for a few weeks now, which is more than I can say for most US soaps in a long time, so...

-- Is Thorsten Kaye supposed to bring eyeballs to Gates? Because LOL. And I thought Forrester Creations was an iconic prestige brand. You mean they want an ad campaign with a couple who ran off to Vegas to marry and who don't even live together? Very romantic, Ridge!

They didn't promote this cross over, did they?  (I know they did the last one with Y&R)  So I assume it was just a cute way to use an existing character from one of their other soaps instead of introducing a new character for one scene--something AMC/OLTL (and other soaps) used to do every so often.  I'm fine with that--while I'm not about to start watching B&B, I admit I've always liked the idea of a soap opera shared universe.

Oh, no! You are missing out on Ridge deciding between Taylor and Brooke for the 57th time.

P.S. I thought I saw an article or two about this crossover but it was nothing much.

Frankly, I'm not sure HOW I feel about BTG now existing in the same universe as the other CBSD soaps, lol.

😮 I mean I even am a Rebecca Budig fan but *vomit*

It made me think for example like some of the mostly forgotten mini crossovers on AMC/OLTL like when Adam and Dorian talked business on the phone, (or that 1970 AMC episode we have where Joe is visited by... I forget who from OLTL who is just coming to catch up lol.)

*edit* I spoke too soon, just finished today's episode of BTG and they aired a promo saying Kaye was guest starring LOL

Oh it definitely can create problems...  With the ABC soaps (especially the Nixon ones though of course GH crossed over going back to 1969 when Steve Hardy visited OLTL) it always made sense, even when you had 1980s super OTT camp One Life to Live seeming to exist in a different reality than AMC.  But yeah...

I guess I still have PTSD from Angela "Shop the Soaps" Shapiro's "synergy" strategy, lol.

My guess is that he's hiding from someone/something that happened before he came to town though if he was that bashful about not having his picture being taken... he probably shouldn't be drinking to the point where he gets married in a chapel to someone well known and having that splashed on social media.

Andre is what my late mom would describe as 'cute, but dumb'.

I also laugh at the lack of planning Randy and Hayley are doing... . I hope the texting is being done on a burner phone and that the bartender is in on their plot.

This is why you never deviate from what worked in the past.  This sudden last minute shift in her usual plan is what will be Hayley's undoing.

Also, Randy could have said he was using the name Sammy because he was in hiding from Joey.  Vanessa would have backed up that story since she knew he was laying  and would have made Dani more likely to believe him.

Lastly.... I still think Pamela puts on that accent and persona as a cover for the real her.   Back in the Edge of Night era, there was a female character that came on in the early 80s that appeared to be a high pitched voice and appeared to be a bimbo.. but turned out that she was the brains behind an organization and had a lower pitched voice.

Perhaps Pamela goes back to her place, takes off the wig and reveals her real voice.  Would be a nice twist down the line.

There's that 0.1% possibility that Silkpress Sheila will casually visit LA... and order a meal at Il Giardino. After all, a girl needs to take care of her nutrition.

So Naomi isn't even pregnant? What was even the point of that? Was this just a plot device to introduce cracks in Naomi and Jacob's marriage that would result in it falling completely apart?
