I would love a Bill and Chelsea scene without the toxicity that is Dani around.  And I hate that Chelsea gave into her mother when her first instinct was correct... but Dani's mental state is closer to Alison's mental state so she quickly had Chelsea wrapped around her finger yet again.

Hayley/Caroline friendship scenes are so few and far between, but I loved seeing it today.  I don't get why the writers stopped featuring them as friends, but I'm glad the writers have seen the error of their ways.  I'm not sure that Tomas is a good decoy to use for their scheme since he isn't exactly a sensual individual.. but it will be interesting to see him try to act romantic with Hayley LOL

Lastly... Hayley saying she hasn't lied to Bil yet gave me a bit of whiplash/side eye.  Have we forgotten the 'pregnancy/miscarriage' LOL

Vanessa/Joey are toxic.. but they're just the thing for those of us that like a bit of Dark romance mixed into our daytime programs.

MVJ needs to be sat down and told to stop trying to make Derek/Ashley happen.. it's been almost 130 episodes and still not popping.  Shanice/Derek would be so much better to explore.

Although I'm curious to see if Derek is going to either fake being unable to walk to keep Ashley close to him... or if he's going to keep that secret until he can surprise her with the ability to walk.

I must confess I like her too. There's so many ways that can they  can  take her character,  and I thought  Marquita did good in her confronting scenes with Bill. A lot of people comment on their lack of chemistry with Timon,  but I feel like it's intentional. At the surface they want to make this marriage work but bubbling underneath is a man who made a mistake that cost him his family but he's too proud to admit it.

I think MG is too surface while also playing an even weaker character.

The scrappy underdog Hayley people dreamed up before the show debuted is not the Hayley that's ever actually appeared onscreen (that ended up being Eva) - she's basically a transparent, whiny third wheel and now nascent schemer. They've never done much with her, and I think MG struggles with the often very purple prose they give her.

Dani has been pretty levelheaded lately AFAIC. And as I said the other night, both she and Nicole are pretty straight-up in their intentions compared to their parents or some of the kids or spouses.

I was not expecting this at all.

That’s all I could notice when they headed for the stairs

About damn time they feature more Caroline and Haley scenes. We should’ve been getting these throughout the whole run of the show.

Yeah, I would agree as well with Dani. She's been quite a bit levelheaded for a while now outside of RC breakdowns so I was glad before the kidnapping that her quirks (and shade) started to pop out of her again. She's been coming across normal and snarky. Main character energy though she's not the main character at the moment.

That and Vanessa/Dani scenes. I was living today. lol.

I wish they had been doing that with Caroline though. And it looks like they will be continuing so I'm down for that.

The Vanessa/Dani relationship has always been a better fit than her and Nicole IMO. I see why they felt she couldn't have her and Cady's wacky character as talk-tos. I do think Vanessa can have both.

I am not against more of Pamela with Dani -  I am one of the few who seems to enjoy Pamela, in doses - but the business needs to get off the ground and they should introduce some family for her to flesh her out (as well as Vanessa's kids when ol' Doug inevitably heads for the big Golden Corral in the sky).

I do think they will inevitably pair Derek and Shanice for real. That's the vibe onscreen. But Ben Gavin is pretty terrible, so I fear they'd write her out with him.
