I loved Van Hansis and Maura West in the brief scenes they shared on World Turns, and they are magnificent on General Hospital, as well.

I see Maurice has his most recent fresh dye job. It’s absurd that you’ll let Rick Hearst look amazing as a silver fox and it doesn’t effect his veracity or age him, but you’re terrified of letting Sonny’s hair age like Maurice doesn’t look every bit of his age.

I hate kidnapping stories where people are tied up or just in general trapped in rooms because we’re supposed to just accept they don’t smell bad and haven’t pooped and peed either on themself or somewhere in the room. I’m hoping this Ric in the basement thing isn’t truly 30 days.

Drew is definitely either seriously injured or dead in the next few days to a week. We’ve heard three to four threats just this week and he still seems unphased by them.

It makes Mo look older.  It reminds me of all those years they had Drake/John dye his hair that muddy brown on Days. When he let it go silver fox he looked so much better.  They let Dante/DZ have grey in his hair and he's Sonny's son.   I wonder if Mo says it's a "GH thing", but it really is a Mo idea lol.

I hate the same thing about those type of kidnappings.  I always wonder how they use the bathroom lol.

I find the Rick kidnapping interesting although I agree with those who say it's being played a little campy and silly.  It is a goofy situation so I don't mind that much.  I like that it gives NLG, Mansi, and West something fun to play.

The 5 poppies story is a snooze.  I didn't think anything Britt related would be good, but I am surprised at how lackluster it is.  And how inept Joss/Vaughn are as WSB agents.

He does seem to know it doesn’t look good on him. And I also thought Drake became sexy again with his natural hair. I like Deidre Hall’s hair has so much white/silver tones in it, it looks more natural than the predominantly honey blonde she used to go with. I love Jane’s long, natural hair. It suits her so much, and hasn’t made Tracy seem any less vibrant. We are well past Sonny having shellacked black hair, and it’s silly.

I just got to the Maxie scenes. They really put Kristina Wagner through it. I hope she can start to have fun as Felicia again. I know lots of performers had to act out something they are going through in life. I just have empathy because we know about her loss.

Seeing Anna and Felicia being so close and there for each other really makes me happy. I would feel the same things if we ever get a scene with Lois and Brenda, or ever see Robin and Brenda together on a couch again. GH at its core wasn’t a traditional soap based around a couple of families. It was the deep connections that these professionals felt with each other and their patients at the hospital. And when I grew up watching, those types of relationships really resonated with me and were still being shown, even if the hospital was not the center.

As a gay person, the adage about chosen family was already ingrained in me because of I saw the bonds between Robert, Anna, Frisco, Felicia, Sean, etc. They were a family to me just as sure as the Quartermaines were.

Heck, RH is harder because he's giving FOINE sexy fox. And Maurice was as well when he was letting it show in Nixon Falls tbh.

I just got to the infamous Joss and the gun scene...and while I agree...I didn't realize that since she was still carrying trauma from shooting Cyrus. I thought they might have dealt with it in the time I was not watching, but what was I thinking? lol. For a moment, I'm intrigued at the idea of Joss dealing with trauma.

Well, look at me!! lol.

I have to admit that I'm kinda impressed. This episode (and on a Monday) ended with three...and I do mean THREE...cliffhangers!!! And what surprised me is that I'm somewhat interested in all of them.

Maxie's collapse. I had some idea from posts here, but I was not expecting that. Moreso because I was ignoring the Home and Heart scenes for the most part. And now Sidwell appears like he is about to have invested interest in Deception due to his liking Lucy. Ugh. Forget about Drew being gone. I want him GONE. No offense to the actor who of course can get it. I have just been over the latest mobster du jour forever in a day. And tbh, GH has done better. ie: Ms. Wu.

Joss in the shower. And a nice bonding moment with Vaughn. I guess in my binging, I've gotten used to them even if I'm so annoyed with the whole storyline. But like I said earlier, I didn't realize that Joss STILL (let me side-eye these writers) had not dealt with her trauma from killing Cyrus. I mean that was almost a year ago. Color me intrigued at the possibility of that. Then again...that's a whole potential storyline right there for these writers (and a way to humanize Joss for all her haters) and they still haven't gone there. Let me smh.

And I know I will be in the minority so please don't hate me...I loved all the Jason/Britt stuff. Steve has been great since his return due to him now being able to emote more and you can feel it from Jason. So Jason laying eyes on Britt for the first time gave me YA romance feels. And KT actually sold that for me, too. So I did swoon...and rewind. lol. And the bookend of them in the episode as well...YES. Just Jason in clothes not black...heehee. I'm looking forward to sitting down and watching their reunion.

I also loved Sonny vs Drew. I don't give Sonny much, but he was reading Drew. He is more about his obsession over Willow than any kids so Drew really needed to STFU. And just him setting up Michael for that overdue punch was superb, but evil. And now he is coming for Stella, too. The end is nigh. At this point though, I am feeling he is going to fake his death. Because love him, hate him, or (like me) love-to-hate him...killing Drew would be a waste now because like @titan1978 said, Drew is now giving old school Quartermaine...and outside of what he is doing with Scout, Danny, and Rocco...I love it.

I assume you guys saw this? This is beyond shocking, disturbing and evil.

I definitely saw it in passing and smh. But I've been against AI (sci-fi films all the way back to the '80s gave good cautions) for a while. Very sad to see.

Haha...not that Britt knew Wagger...but the one line mention from Jason to her about how he survived Peter...

-- I do not believe the show forces Maurice Benard to dye his hair. The guy has so much power over casting and story but listens to higher-ups about his hair? He wants his hair to look this way, no matter what he says.

-- The making out/kissing between Portia and Isaiah looked awkward as hell. I like them both as actors, but that was a yikes.

-- I know this board is down on Curtis, but my God, Portia lies so much it's unreal. And if she falls into Isaiah's arms that quickly after Curtis leaves the room, she's also been lying about how much she loves Curtis. Girl needs therapy.

-- Good scenes today with Dante/Gio and Drew/Michael.

I just don’t believe this is true anymore. I don’t think Frank lets anyone have that kind of power at GH over his own whims and wishes. When Guza, Frons, and JFP were there, and we still had a robust soap industry with 9 soaps airing (although in decline), he clearly did have that influence. But it’s not really there anymore. Burton doesn’t have it either.

For his faults, Valentini seems to like talent that comes to work and tries to make it work, and that’s the priority. It’s why people like Finola have been front and center the whole time she has been back on contract. She shows up to work and also promotes the show. Jane has famously said it’s not her job to write the show, it’s her job to make the writing work. I think that’s been a big part of the respect between them too.

Is there writing that still props him? Yes. Do they keep trying to give him something to do, to varying degrees of success and airtime? Yes. But do think I he has any power to do something that Frank doesn’t already wants to do? Nope.

I did notice that they didn’t show any hint of who she was shooting in her trauma flashbacks. No need to pay the man then! Anyone new viewer or returning one would presumably be confused.

I agree.

I do think Mo still sometimes leverages his feelings or behavior to get a certain result, but I don't feel he has anywhere that level of power or influence that he used to. Steve either.
