Ted the character wasn't going to change no matter who was going to play him. People were just attracted to Maurice and let that cloud their judgment of the character. I'm of the mind that they're breaking the character down to build him up, but people dont have the patience to let the writers do that.

No his version was far superior, people just don't wanna accept that cause of this actor supposedly being "better" 

Another solid episode IMO. This week has really been must-see for me.

• I can appreciate that Katherine is feeling the way she is feeling, but she also has to let up on herself a bit. This is becoming a bit much.
• Once again, Shanice is being beyond unprofessional by not only being on her personal cellular device but also being on her social media accounts while on the clock.
• Uh-oh. Billy boy, you are in trouble right now. You have got some explaining to do.
• Haha! Dana, you will not be moving into Fairmont until the holidays, if at all. Good!
• Alison, Allison, Allison. You really did think of every single detail. If you were not Annie Wilkes personified, I would be impressed.
• Well damn, Allison got an upgrade in the "knife" budget for herself. She went from a steak knife to a full-on butcher knife.
• Poor Vanessa does not get a flying fück what Dana is doing; she wants out of this right now.
• Good on Chelsea, continue to play along. You are doing what Dani and your family told you to do. Hold out a bit longer!
• Oh Madison, sweetie, you will get to Chelsea eventually. I promise you will. And you will have cats before Halloween, and your Birkenstocks will be loaded for autumn.
• Wow. This ending is brilliant; the prayer for Chelsea (who is going through it) to Katherine and Jacob discovering how unhinged Allison has been for years. Wow. This is something else.

Notes:

• CBS, none of your autumn shows look good.
• I have said it before, and I will say it again: I love the onscreen graphics where text messages are concerned. Very modern, sleek, and clean.
• RhonniRose Mantilla (Chelsea) and Brianna Roberts (Allison) continue to do outstanding work in their scenes. I am buying them both.

I feel this this has been the best week since Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party

I won't disagree. Keith is the better actor but Maurice had the "presence " . Keith can get there though.

Keith > Maurice

every. single. day. Keith is an actor with a wide range of talent that goes beyond daytime. Period. And his résumé proves that.

thankfully, it looks like this is going to wrap up soon, because i don’t know how much more i can take of bat [!@#$%^&*] crazy alison.

The new Ted is a good actor, but he doesn't have the same gravitas Maurice brought to the role.  Maurice was believable as the rich, successful, well-known, self-confident plastic surgeon. When the recast occurred, they started writing Ted like a loser.  I don't blame the actor.  He's probably capable of playing some level or gravitas.  But the writing is failing him, and possibly the directing also.  Someone should tell the actor to play Ted stronger and with more self confidence -- isn't that the director's job??

Maurice might have been more surface level acting wise.. but he had charisma and a presence... while Nu Ted might have more nuance in his acting choices.. he doesn't have the presence nor charisma that Maurice had.
