Same. I would love to see more of that actress.

I hated how June just insisted on pushing past their boundary and got what she wanted and how she acted like they were abandoning her, which she literally did to them. If they keep it messy, I'm invested, but I don't want them to turn her into a saint. I actually wish the story showed more of Regina's POV because I think your niece and nephew that you loved disappearing to a closed adoption is really horrific and traumatic.

Yes, the turnaround from June learning that Tyrell and Sam don't want to see her again to her forcing an interaction and then claiming she is going to change because they will need her was absurdly quick. However, that aside, June gave them up and she knew what that meant. When she came to the realization that something had to change for the sake of her kids, she didn't seek help to get clean or asked her sister to take care of her kids so she can make the necessary changes. June decided giving them up and losing them forever was the best option. The only reason she found them is because Naomi and Jacob gave her details about a closed adoption. It was strange seeing her entitlement to having their time and acceptance.

All of this. Shockingly entitled. Someone needs to call her out.

I think I’m done with BTG for a while bc the June/Samantha/Tyrell stuff is pissing me right tf off. The lion’s share of characters in this show are bad people, dumb af, or both. Y’all enjoy!

See ya

I'll say this much...Anita vs Silk Press Sheila Round 2 (hard to believe they haven't had another showdown since post-anniversary back in May)...is GIVING.

Oh it GAVE

As did I.

IKR!!! Anita definitely gathered her in Round 1. But Round 2 is going to SilkPress. See? This is how she should be, still cracking wise, but there's grit in her inflections and edge to her that brings back that cunning woman we saw in the first few weeks. And I am living for it. Cuz she's an even match for Anita.

Yeah, Chicago almost slipped out.

THIS was the Leslie I fell in love with. Humor was there but so was what like you said the grit and edge that initially won us all over. I haven’t commented much but they started turning or TMG did, Leslie into more of a cartoon annoyance at some point and it wasn’t working as well for me especially as she was my breakout fav from jump.

-- The Anita/Leslie scenes were good. More fireworks coming.

-- I've criticized Anita plenty, but I will never be OK with someone who blames a suicide on another human. I know that's Leslie's nature to do that, but it makes her reprehensible. Anita made mistakes. She is not responsible for Barbara's suicide.

-- The June arc doesn't work for me. It's all happening too quickly.

-- June had at least 3 personalities on today's show. She was calm and hopeful in the first scenes, followed by a complete personality change when she lost her mind and went back to the streets. When she went to see Samantha and Tyrell, she was motherly and sooooo filled with wisdom. Now she's ready to leave the bridge underpass and get a job. GMAB.

== At least June's manicure is still perfect for job interviews.

-- Sending Samantha and Tyrell off the show with June would be a disastrous storyline decision. In what world will June EVER be able to offer what they can get from Smitty and Martin?

-- June being a part of the kids' lives shouldn't be any kind of problem at all. They aren't 5 years old. They don't need someone to take them to school and pick them up or to run them to activities. They don't need to stay with June in some custody arrangement.

-- Please give Naomi something to do besides play fairy godmother to June. People here say Jacob is annoying, but Naomi bothers me 10x more than he does.

I wasn’t moved by June at all today. She showed up completely unannounced and made a scene but I guess we should be moved because her non crazy person personality emerged for a second?

And honestly screw Naomi. This was a closed adoption she blew right open because I guess her law firm doesn’t keep her busy enough.

Watching the episode, I got the sense that they were putting a bow on June’s story for the time being and we may be seeing less of her, until such time as her being back serves the story.

Unless this ‘purpose building’ and life construction plays out on screen with her working in any of the establishments (Orphey Gene’s or Uptown) or Naomi somehow convinces someone to provide an entry-level job of some kind.

God, yes. I rewinded so many times before I had to stop and get dinner. lol. That was how great it was. And that bomb drop of a reveal (before commercial break at that, with direction and music and close up to quick fade out) is what soap moments are made of.

Exactly! I know people have been talking about SilkPress being a cartoon, but I was not getting it at the time. But the last month...it clicked. No I didn't like it. The last time SilkPress had a humanizing moment was back in May with Ted of all people and has not come across at all like a flawed human since. THREE MONTHS AGO. Where was the SilkPress who sat with Ted explaining her life to him (when it should have been Nicole's POV in her own story, but I digress)? Where was the SilkPress who even when she dropped the Eva bomb on the Duprees, you could still root for her because through her looniness, there was still a hurt human being coming through? Where's the cunning SilkPress who spent the first two months causing an accident and being how many other people (complete with wigs) to the point that her presence practically gave menacing? She has not popped up before today in those scenes with Anita. And they went toe to toe, both coming across as human beings hurt by circumstances. She wants what's hers. And Anita wants to protect her family from her venom. Both clear and human reasons to be at odds with each other.

And I know you loved her and Eva pre-jump with your ride-or-die self. 😜 So it was nice to see a sign of THIS version of her back for sure. Those scenes were gold. Like @Cheap21 said, they were giving old school B&B Stephanie vs Original Recipe Sheila. Can't wait to watch live tomorrow.

From what little we know about Dante and Barbara it makes sense that Leslie's sociopathic personality comes from Dante.

Just wait until you find out there's a Dante Jr. (Leslie's brother) running around. 😜

I thought both the Anita/Leslie scenes and the June scenes were well written and played. The only problem remains that they should have been the culmination of a few weeks of story rather than something that happened a few episodes ago.

There were more angles/beats to play in both stories.

Leslie vs Anita needs to be a regular thing. Anita is best when sparring with someone and Leslie is more than capable. Make them the Viki/Dorian of BTG.  I'm here for it.

I'm over the whole June story though. I have no sympathy for her and she is not entitled to see her kids that she gave up. The actress is great, but I don't think the writing made her sympathetic at all.

I enjoy the Smitty/Martin truce though. Martin has improved so, so much since the beginning.
