I posted this in the BTG BTS thread, but infamous film critic Armond White gave BTG a rave review in his National Review column. Trigger warning: if you have a low tolerance for right-wing, “anti-woke” rhetoric, beware, but AW always brings some truth bombs:

The show is warming up now... and getting really good. Of course many things are still to be re-worked... but I'm getting more and more excited to watch it. That initial crazy energy from the first month is slowly coming back. The acting is top notch with small exceptions.

Did anyone catch Anita's line yesterday about the studio in her home:

"We added it when the prices were a little astronomical." 😆

Was this supposed to make Anita relatable? We know Anita didn't come from privelege and she grew up in struggle, but she found stardom young and is clearly very rich. I was like really? Oh yeah, I have a whole studio in my home, but don't get it twisted...I got it when prices were less outrageous....Okay girl.

Yesterday’s Nicole/Smitty scenes were classic soap and also very necessary. DD and MM play well off of each other.

The Articulettes timeline is bonkers. Did MVJ not write a show bible that firmly established the chronology of everything?

On the DAY OF THE CONCERT, Vernon refers to Tracy and Sharon as Anita’s “sisters in music.” AT THE CONCERT, Vernon says he called them that “the other night.”

Totally agree - great scenes yesterday.

I just came here to say this! The timeline can get so crazy on this soap. Also, I am pretty sure Dani established that the concert was that night when she went to Nicole and Martin.

There was a similar instance around the secret reveal and death of Kenny where we had to believe so much took place within the same day that is was quite a stretch.

Dude, TMG is utterly hilarious.

She is a riot!!! I have been laughing my butt off. Pretty sure the part where she tells Smitty she loves his shirt and it matches the seats was improv.

LOL same - so funny. 😂

I think the set and number of extras was done much better than the fashion show a couple months ago.
