I get the sense that NLG would be less tolerant of some of Mo's acting tics so I could actually see that pairing working.  They've always had decent chemistry.

And it feels like Alexis has been single for a decade.  Since Julian, right?  I vaguely remember a dalliance with Ned when she was drunk too.  Anyhow, she's probably a bit lonely at this point so she might lower her already low standards for Sonny.

 

What exactly is going on with Maurice Bernard. Is it cognitive decline, does he just not care anymore?

I wouldn't want to speculate on anyone's health, but MB seems very aware and engaged on his State of Mind series on you tube.  It appears he does the research on his guests and asks interesting questions even if he generally turns the focus back on himself too much.  

If I had to give a guess I would say this is the way Mo wants to play Sonny and no one is telling him to learn his lines and stop.

I don’t know about that, but he just seems tuned out.

He said that they thought he had Parkinsons but then found out he did not. We know from that,  that he has probably been evaluated by a neurologist. There's a whole array of neurological disorders that share some symptoms with PD. If he had a firm diagnosis I suspect he would say. Just don't know but I don't think it's apathy. 

I wanted to post that this past week I didn't think he was as bad in his scene with Gio. (But, I am not saying he was good.)

The other thing I want to post is that I think Little Sonny will be getting the new ambitious ADA, Justine, another brunette who is actually a nobody wanting to be a somebody. 

I still cannot figure out why he didn't get Natalia. She was certainly brunette enough & beautiful enough, too.

Anyone but Sidwell...though I enjoyed their scene with Natasha's dagger in hindsight. But anything gothic Cassadine with me to be fair.

 

Yeah, I feel like outside of Finn...her sleeping with Ned was the last time as well. Though I feel like I'm forgetting someone.

 

I still feel NLG and MB have chemistry. And they were definitely giving off a strong 'could they get together again' the last time I was regularly watching. Very latter in life reconnection. And the Perils of Kristina was a nice way to grow them in closer. But than the writing for Kristina went over a cliff and they didn't interact as much. 

 

Outside of Sonny or Ned, I'm not sure who I would put her with on the current canvas.

Lol.  I just got brand new information that Alexis dated Finn?  I mean it checks out since they tried Michael Easton with everyone, but I still remember the time Sam and other Davis girls were trying to make Mac and Alexis happen.  And it never did and it was so awkward.  

Closing Time is an iconic song.😂

I am sure someone will correct me, but I think they were more or less hook-up buddies. Though now that I'm thinking about it...it did seem like PM was circling back to maybe trying them before Finn's exit.

I'll take your word for it because it sounds right?  Lol.  Idk, Alexis was with Finn's dad sorta so I don't think they were circling back, but she was probably the only one that liked him at the time besides his *unamed* child so I don't manifest something.

I unfortunately frequented many bars that used the song at the time.  I swear I am not Haley Pullos or Natalia.😂

Yeah, I feel like the board discussed the optics then, too. So you are probably right. It was just a case of two characters who made sense story-wise. If anyone understood Finn's struggle with the bottle, it would be Alexis. Not to mention loss. And I felt intelligence-wise, they were on the same level. And I felt they had chemistry. tbf, I wanted Liz away from him with the quickness. I will never forgive how they messed up her whole 25th anniversary storyline to make it about him.

I definitely remember Finn and Alexis having chemistry when I started watching last year.

Have the writers had Laura rip Lulu a new one for her part in the Gio matter? If not, I feel that is a beat that needs to be played, seeing as Laura (herself) was given up as a baby.

This is one thing that I've wanted to point out when I read/glanced at the board when it came to this Gio story when I wasn't watching. Because the truth of the matter has been that Lulu is still stuck in 4 years ago and not realizing that BLQ has changed and grown in that time period and her going after this info...accident or not...screamed before I stopped regularly watching that Lulu was going after BLQ out of spite and the fact her own emotional development was stuck in 4 years ago. So anyone calling her out post-reveal (still catching up  ) has me firmly NOT on her side because too many people said this to Lulu and she CHOSE not to take that in. 

 

Of course, a better story for her is what you said. Allowing Lulu to adjust to the fact that she was in a coma for four years and the world around her changed while she's still stuck in place. It could have been a nice struggle to watch. My issue at the time was that Korte appeared to get that and it showed in the writing. CVE...not so much. Even now it seems funny that all of Laura's kids (bar Nik) are around which was what I wanted, but I have seen Lulu regularly versus Lucky and the writing for them could not be more defined. Chaos creator is perfect.

 

I agree. Even with what I said...BLQ is not a shrinking violet and I need BLQ vs Lulu to be a little more even ended. I did see their confrontation over Lulu finding out BLQ had a baby. And that was not too slanted and both of them gave. More of that. This time though...let BLQ finish that slap. Adrienne Leon's BLQ would have.

Yes, we agree.  I am not a Lulu fan as you can probably guess, but I like her more than BLQ at this point.  Lulu's always been obnoxious and self-righteous.  I am just not used to her being called out on that.  The JMB Lulu/Carly Jr. years applauded that behavior.

Brook Lynn needs to get some fire back.  We will see if Setton's up to the task.  I still feel like she's having others fight her battles for her instead of taking charge of the situation.
