think Madison and Chelsea are an interesting pairing, but I don't know if Madison is as innocent as she is trying to come across...I might be wrong. I do prefer Madison to the other woman Chelsea was seeing.

Well there has to be some complication in this relationship to make it interesting as time goes by. Madison is going to be the one with a secret of some sort-maybe she is married/separated to another guy/girl, has a drug problem etc

I know it is true to life but I hate that men deciding it's time to be married and choosing a ring is seen as romantic.I find it a bit controlling. Surely this needs to be a mutual decision and not some outdated notion that women should feel blessed that a man has chosen her.

Finally watching today's episode.

Ashley and Derek remain a snoozefest. How boring they are to watch.

I'm 42 min in the episode and it's very boring.

We also have the gambling boring storyline.

I changed my mind.

I think the first time around, I was meh on this episode. The second time...well...it felt a little bit better. And as background music to other stuff going on, I did it again. I think this episode was the 'Thursday' of the week for me. And I've been enjoying how Anita's story has been the main story for the last little while so there's a void now that TT is out for now. Overall, it was meh, but I liked little things in the episode.

For me, I love the Dani/Nicole dynamic. And I LOOOOVE Nicole in another power suit. Since the start of the show, I have loved how the sisters continue to be there for each other no matter what. And the cup breaking scene is sooo Dani...who looked fabulous in her dress.

Nosy Nurse dealing with Bill was great. She got something else to do. And Bill's hand tremor storyline has been a nice C plot that is strong enough to be a B plot that bring several threads together and keep the Dani/Bill/Hayley story alive.

I love seeing the Kat/Chelesa friendship. Cool to see them with their own storylines now on top of them starting a business. And I believe you all were just talking about that. lol.

As much as I love Eva, I'm not sure if she should be able to get out of pariah status just yet. She's been written like an underdog now and I don't mind it. Just saying. Good to see Laura mixing it up in storyline and trying to play matchmaker between her and Nicole though. Still...outside of Kat...I just feel there needs to be more anti-Eva given how things went down. And I do like Nicole referenced the fact that Eva trying to stop the reveal at the anniversary party was last minute.

And I just smh at Silk Press Sheila still being able to gaslight Eva so easily. In fact, this was the first time where I felt she was a little tooooo cartoony for me. Though I love that she loves her soaps.

She is being sassy. Maybe she's seen BTG's horrible ratings. There are a lot of boring stories, and some like Martin that I feel are going to be a dud.

-- Yes, the sex(y) scene with Chelsea and Madison was cool. Just wish we weren't still waiting for one of those scenes between Smitty and Martin after almost 5 months.

Yeah I did not want to be the one to point it out, lol.

@Soapsuds The #itscalledlongstoryforareason took me out lol. Mike Manning kind of hyped up the Martin reveal. He said it will all make sense once it's out.

I hope it is good.

The pacing of these stories is off. The best story from the show has been the Dani one; since then, it's been Nicole's story, but it has already fizzled out. There is no movement in it.

Anita story was a complete mess for me. It wasn't as great as promised.

Michelle needs to not antagonize her audience. Don't be a Ron Carlivati.

And this is why I like rewatching. I almost always come across something I missed the first time. In this case...so Ted AND Carlton have a practice TOGETHER. And Carlton just got back? Really? So that means we should be seeing MORE of him? YES, PLEASE. lol. Cuz that thang was SWING-ING. If you know, you know. ;)

But playing catch up at the same time, I just feel that I should point out that that it was long established in the first few weeks that Kat was the office manager and had been looking forward to stepping back to start the purse business with Chelesa. She was waiting for Chelesa to tell Dani.

Also I loved this episode brought up what was discussed a few pages back about Ted and Nicole were planning on paying for Eva classes and learning coding and all the skills she did not currently possess. From Eva's lips mind you. And in the 'did you just mention that yesterday' department, you know I loved the discussion of where Mr. Crooked Cop is...only for him to pop up. In light of the above tweet...well...seems planned to me. If not...more well-paced than it appears. ;)

That said...the bounceback was real this episode. I'm not surprised since it's a Sara Bibel/Cheryl Davis episode. I find their episodes together pretty good. And that might be that there's a focus on what I like...a central story (preferably for me an A story)...with little plots around it. And given what follows and the focus this episode...I would say A story. And thankfully, it's the A story that I wanted the show to get around to...namely Martin's Secret.

So not only is Martin starting to get more detailed flashes, but it's popping up at random times OUTSIDE of his dreamscape. Well...UH OH. And to add more fuel to the fire...somehow his secret is connected to the crooked cop, too? More storylines converging? Well...YES, PLEASE. The cherry on top...Smitty has been assigned to go and interview said cop. I also loved that Martin went to Nicole. Those were great scenes. And now he might see about getting professional help. And now the mystery man has seen him again? The plot thickens.

I said a while ago that I enjoyed the fallout from the SilkPress storyline because there has been so much to deal with. Possibilities. Angles. Etc. And as the well-paced story of the show, I've loved it. And this episode, it gave solid B plot with all of its plot threads. The only flaw I had with the storyline as of late...okay two if I count the recast of Ted...has been that since the reveal of Eva...Nicole's POV has been background in her own story. Part of the reason I hope

Spoiler

that rumor of a physical catfight between her and SilkPress

is true. I understood trying to get to how SilkPress felt even if it made her too sympathetic. I understood giving NuTed time to adjust and connect. But...where was Nicole in all of it? Especially after her superb angry scenes? So I have liked that she has slowly had her POV weaved back into it. But I admit that I found that odd and a false note in an otherwise great story.

I liked that Eva and Kat had a scene, but that was too brief. They after all are THE rivalry. Not that I'm not liking Kat vs SilkPress, but I hope they don't get away from it toooo far since that is just a goldmine of drama that can last for YEARS. Not to mention they have excellent rival chemistry.

And Kat's subplot to catch SilkPress? I can't believe she pulled Mona into it. She is bound and determined, and I can't hate her for that. And like I said, I can see Kat and Jacob in a spinoff. Meanwhile...Mona back with SilkPress...it just reminds me of how much I miss the Have-Nots together. And well-played by Kat to get the DNA.

HEY, CARLTON, HEY!!! Still here. Still having more sparks with Nicole than NuTed. I was happy to see NuTed in a more tailored suit. Nice bubble btw. ;)  And I liked he's about to be more messy by hiring Eva at work when he and her are still very much pariahs. But I at least want to see where it goes.

C plot is brought to you by Ashley and Derek. I enjoyed Naomi and Derek. I kinda didn't mind Andre with Ashley. But solid C plot service.

Even with the less exciting episodes there is still advancement unlike with the other soaps where there are days worth of episodes with no story advancement and just repeated conversations.

Seriously, Smitty looked like he was reporting for the college newspaper.

And for a supposedly crack investigative reporter he showed his hand way too quickly by going for the kill with the Joey connection. #no finesse.

Andre-handsome, stylish, worldy, wealthy. Having a hot secret sexcapade with a fiery older woman-attracted to a dowdy basic nurse .Me thinks not.

Very true. I just finished last week's B&B today. And like I said, fluff. Enjoyable, but fluff.
