Rory was never really allowed a chance to *do* anything on Y&R, so it will be interesting to see what he can bring here. It's too bad they already cast Bryce Durfee as Vaughn because I think he would have possibly made a great Michael, he seems like a really decent actor and has a pretty commanding presence and lots of charisma just for Joss' flavor of the month. Hopefully, They're both a part of the Magic Milo performance... 🤓

Flynn is too good to be wasted on the role of Michael or on General Hospital. It's bad enough he's going to The Young and the Restless.

Glad they didn’t wait on Chad either

GH is leaps and bounds better than YR to me (tho I guess as an actor its the less strenuous gig).

In truth, Flynn had it on DAYS... he was one the most stand-out talents in what I've considered to be a very stale company of "actors". He, to me, is someone who could really go beyond daytime at this point, and should at some point.

tbh, I felt like I was taking crazy pills because suddenly everyone was his stan and I'm like... wut? lol

 

Well tbf, there are only two people...maybe three...in here that I don't recall having a problem with Robert Adamson subbing for Michael. And have mentioned it every time he has subbed. And I believe he has always been on Liberty's wishlist for taking over for Chad.

Well one, I don't stan anyone. 

Two, I am privy to what RA said or done, hence why I said what I said previously. 

Three, if he said something disparaging against the show, he ain't the first actor. Won't be the last. Hell, majority of actors speak out the side of their necks against their employers. 

Michael should've been gone til at least November sweeps (if not longer). Let Willow and Drew's nonsense and schemes with/against? each other take on more of its own life on canvas.

Rory Gibson seems lethargic, but maybe he'll surprise me. I def would not have picked Adamson, I would've gone entirely outside daytime.

To be clear, I'm not suggesting Robert Adamson should've gotten the role but I do think the way Frank does things is shady and that is a good example. He was good enough to be a fill-in for years but you couldn't let him audition? It reminds me of when AW made Ellen Wheeler audition for a part she won an Emmy for. In both cases the actor didn't get it but at least Wheeler was given a chance to audition.

This I agee with 100%. It makes me so sad to think he's finally leaving Days and is likely going to be in a throwaway role on Y&R. He would've been an asset to ANY of the soaps on air and that is where he ended up?

I did not want Adamson to have the role but barring him from even auditioning after the many fill-ins only to hire his Y&R replacement is classic Frank petty lol. Cold as ice!

Yeah, Frank is gonna petty. And as long as he does, there will always be a part of the audience that will side-eye how he moves. 

 

But seriously...I would probably wait for another sweeps to bring Michael back, too. If he is back, then at least let Michael be Dark Michael and give Willow the payback and give Drew a run for his money.

I don’t think either Noah would be good Michael recasts but at least Adamson has a pulse.
