Soooooo...what are the odds that Liam will actually die? If there's a last minute miracle, it's going to feel so been there, done that after the Eric storyline. Truly, Liam as a character is played out. I'd love to see Scott Clifton somewhere in a new role though!

I'm sure he'll get a miracle cure. They say there's nothing they can do for Liam but that bullshit.

No.

Absolutely No.

I don't know who this is... since it's just some random Twitter quote...

But NO.

The only parallel between OG Caroline's leukemia and Liam's tumor... is that they are both having cancer. That's it.

Other than that... I see absolutely no similarities.

Caroline hid her sickness almost till the last moment. She was also giving the viewers signs that she is not well for days if not weeks before the diagnosis. It was not like Liam... falling down and hitting his head on a table and bam he has a tumor.

Caroline's storyline broke our hearts, because of her attempt to live out the rest of her days with dignity and grace.

It was written slowly and with care.

What we are seeing right now with Liam is the complete opposite. It's begging the viewers for empathy and cheap tears. It's so in your face and trashy... I can't believe they are using cancer for something like this.

Bradley Bell should never do terminal stuff again in his stories. It's borderline offensive to people who actually have lost relatives to cancer. To me it is.

@Maxim This Liam dying out of the blue was crafted in a hurry for three reasons:

1. To facilitate JMW's leave

2. To prop Steffy - 'Oh, Steffy has so much grace and moral superiority that she ignored everything that swine HoLo did to tell her for the sake of their daughters. Queen Stephanie would be so proud of her!'

3. Distracting Steffy enough to give Lunacy an easy way to slither into Finn's life. Once Luna discovers that Lame is dying, she'll play that card: 'Dad, life is too short and precious!'

If this was an intentional story, we would've had the typical B&B foreshadowing - Liam faceplanting into a bowl of pasta, Lame missing meetings, being forgetful. Instead, Lame does an impulsive quick quit and $B doesn't even care enough to make a single attempt to get him back? Please.

Oh, I know it was. I was just talking about how it's not giving me parallels to Caroline dying. It's really as far from it as possible.

But about the foreshadowing - Hahahhahah. Yes. And you missed one - Liam googling - "what is cancer"...

With the death of Days and GH actress, Denise Alexander, someone posted this in the Days thread, a '60s-era photo of some of the cast, which lists the names. In the upper left, is a young Susan Flannery, who obviously ended up playing Stephanie Forrester on B&B, who was one of a few actresses to play Dr. Laura Horton [mother to Mike and Jennifer Horton] on Days.

Here is a link to the photo:

This is so confusing.

B&B episode Episode #9521 (Season 38, Episode 162)
was scheduled for Thurs. May 8.
It was officially preempted, although some areas saw it,
(Some areas saw the Steffy/Finn/Monaco rerun on May 8.)

cbs.com and PPlus had 9521 (S38,E162) uploaded on May 8,
despite it being preempted from that date, and they never took it down.

B&B officially aired #9521 (S38, E162)
on broadcast CBS television on Fri. May 9.

B&B officially postponed the next episode
#9522 (Season 38, Episode 163) to air on Mon. May 12.

cbs.com and PPlus had #9522 (S38, E163) uploaded Fri. May 9,
despite it not airing yet on broadcast tv until Mon. May 12.

  • cbs.com and PPlus still had the early upload of 9522/S38,E163
available on their websites for about a day and a half, LOL,...
(even though it doesn't air until May 12)...
and then they finally removed it from their websites.

  • ALSO... at the same time as removing 9522/S38,E163 . . . .
cbs.com and PPlus fixed the website label for #9521 (S38, E162),
which had displayed as "May 8" but now correctly says "May 9".

---------------------------

Meanwhile, B&B in Canada

"ctv.ca" Canada uploaded #9521 (S38, E162) on Thurs. May 8,
because they didn't realize at first that it was preempted in USA.
Eventually ctv.ca Canada deleted the early upload of S38,E162.

But then... "ctv.ca" Canada didn't re-upload #9521 (S38, 162),
even after it aired in the USA officially on May 9.
And apparently they were afraid to upload anything new,
so for a couple of days, the most recent episode available
on ctv.ca was Wed. May 7,  #9520 (S38, E161).

Finally
"ctv.ca" Canada uploaded *BOTH* of these:
#9521 (S38, 162) (USA official airdate Fri. May 9)...
And
#9522 (S38, 163) (USA official airdate Mon. May 12)...
listing it as as Monday May 12 and it's still on their website.

---------------------------
Meanwhile, B&B in Australia:
"10play.com.au" fast-track Australia seemed to know what to do.
They waited until 9521 aired in USA officially before uploading to their site.
They haven't uploaded 9522 yet.
(I don't have access to view Australia episodes, but I can see their menu.
I kept checking their website multiple times over the past few days, and I saw the thumbnails and episode descriptions.)  ***

-------------------
That was extremely confusing for me to type up.
I probably made some errors. LOL.

-------------------

*** Adding an edit to clarify regarding Australia:
The "fast-track" on "10play.com.au" uploads episodes
within a few hours of the broadcast in USA on CBS-TV.
So it's uploaded nearly simultaneously with the US upload.
However, the Australia 10play episodes menu
displays the "numerical date after" the USA display date --
because of timezones and the international date line.

For example:
During the airing of Monday New York broadcast,
it is Tuesday in Australia.

Episode #9520 (Season 38, Episode 161).
USA-CBS official airdate is Wed. May 7.
Due to timezone difference,
when it's Wed. May 7 in USA, it's Thurs. May 8 in Australia.
#9520 is on 10play menu as "Thu 08 May".

Episode #9521 (Season 38, Episode 162)
USA-CBS official airdate is Fri. May 9.
Due to timezone difference,
when it's Fri. May 9 in USA, it's Sat. May 10 in Australia.
#9521 is on 10play menu as "Sat 10 May".

Episode #9522 (Season 38, Episode 163)
USA-CBS official airdate is Mon. May 12.
Due to  timezone difference,
when it's Mon. May 12 in USA, it's Tues. May 13 in Australia.
#9522 is on 10play menu as "Tue 13 May".
