In July 2010, Mill Creek Entertainment released Prime Time Crime: The Stephen J. Cannell Collection on DVD in Region 1. This special collection contained 54 episodes from 13 different shows produced by Stephen J. Cannell Productions including all nine episodes of Palace Guard.

You know when you post things like this:

#1 It's off-topic because you are posting about a poster & not about the topic at hand.

#2 It is unnecessarily insulting.

#3 It is entirely without merit.

#4 I believe it is actually illegal since you are incorrectly alleging that someone is delusional, that they in fact hear voices. This at the very least is defamation of character. And, I'm sure the right attorney could come up with more reasons why this is in no way a legal, good faith post of information, for just one example.

#5 You have let me know that you do not wish to engage with me in any way, ever. As you know I usually 100% comply with your wishes in this regard. (This being a singular exception.) But, what does it say when you feel free to post in this way when you hold me to these other standards?

#6 IOW, I leave you alone, why do you not do the same?

Well, this turned into one giant ridiculous cluster***. All of the other posts I had planned to make here, now do not fit. My next post would have been about THE MONROES specific to the missing episodes, etc. After that would have been a post about Berenger's & current information about it. IOW, this was not meant to be about Palace Guard & if I'd meant it to be then I certainly wouldn't have titled it what I did.

The info on Palace Guard was posted in the Santa Barbara thread already before a separate thread was made. That was an appropriate place as Marcy Walker was on SB when Palace Guard came to be.

A new thread was not necessary.

Info on The Monroes, Berrengers etc has been posted in the Primetime Soaps thread and again I do not feel a new thread needed to be created.

Yes, I knew that the information had been posted & was fully aware that I was intentionally duplicating it. My intent would not be satisfied by the Santa Barbara thread & I'm not sure in that regard about the Primetime Soaps thread because I haven't given it consideration.

Last, since this is not the thread I created, I certainly am not going to go to bat for its continued existence. However, since PALACE GUARD is not a soap & is soap-adjacent because of a soap actor, I'm not sure where it should be moved/merged with.

I get it as you've said it multiple times that you do not think the thread was warranted. I did, but, as I've now said already, this is not the thread I created, so I move from disagreeing with you to agreeing.

@Toupscan you move this content to Prime-time soaps & delete this, please?  Thanks. Sorry for the extra work.

Again, why would this be in the primetime soap section?

Palace Guard was a primetime series and this is the place for it.

I don't believe there is a current thread for Berrengers or The Monroes, so there is an opportunity to begin new threads for them, or continue placing content about them on the Primetime soaps section.

I didn’t know the show had even existed until some years ago lol.

Between this and Martinez’s thankless role on L.A. Law where he was even let go mid-season of the final season in a last minute ditch of desperation, I am going to to surmise Walker & Martinez would have been better off just staying on SB til the end lol

I am not trying to give anyone a hard time, much less, the software interface. This to me has just gone crazy & I am struggling to "make it make sense."

So, do I now understand you want this thread to stay just where it is?

And, we could make a thread devoted to nothing but soap actors & their primetime attempts. On second thought, NO WIRE THREADS!

I really should let this go but...

Yes,this thread pertaining to a primetime show stays in the primetime thread.

If you want to discuss Berrengers and/or The Monroes -cancelled soaps- then you can do so in the Primetime Soaps thread in the Cancelled Soaps section (where both of those shows have been mentioned) OR start separate threads for them as has happened with Flamingo Road, Secrets of Midland Heights etc in the Cancelled soaps section.

Seems crystal clear to me.

I think letting it go is the best idea. What I have said about why I wanted the thread I wanted somehow does not seem to matter even though it does to me. So, I see no point in just repeating what else other is & has been said.

I agree, lol.

I'd never place Stephen J. Cannell in the same category with Steven Bochco, but I do believe there's a difference between the shows he was involved with before "The Rockford Files," and those he was involved with after "Rockford"; and the shows that came after "Rockford," including "Palace Guard," tended to be so lightweight and unambitious, with "Wiseguy" being the notable exception.
