Recently I posted this on another thread.
"Sami is a rapist, too.  The show has never dealt with specifically calling it that. She's also been raped by multiple people.  Sami needs therapy.  The show refuses to deal with this issue for her, and until they do it, I have no reason to tune in"

I posted that, but I never thought it would happen...

And now I am stunned to read this:
https://www.tvinsider.com/1184983/days-of-our-lives-sami-brady-return-2025-alison-sweeney-interview/
Sweeney appreciates that the writers scripted an evolution for Sami off-screen. “Part of what they wrote for the storyline is that she’s been going to therapy and talking it out with someone,” she shares. “I thought that was a really interesting choice. I do think Sami can use some therapy, and working through some of those issues is probably very healthy for her. So, in some ways, she’s really tackled her feelings about what happened then and gotten some perspective on it.”

I am skeptical that this was done well, but at least it's something.

Why can we see the boom mike above Vivian's head?

Screenshot 2025-04-06 at 13-41-45 NMP314G.png (PNG Image 1500 × 1000 pixels) — Scaled (57_).png

One assumes it is because she is so much shorter than her scene partners, but that is also ridiculous.

FYI @JAS0N47 in reference to the production schedule:
Both images (from Fairman and from soaps.sheknows) have the
encoding within their URLs that says "JPI_dool8624"
That would mean JPI Photography took these pics on August 6, 2024.

Fyi the metadata on the URL for this pic of Vivian posted upthread
(discovered when downloading pic and then looking at the image properties)
https://www.soapoperadigest.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Louise-Sorel.jpg
-- that gives a date of August 12, 2024.

I would have assumed these were the dates that JPI took the photos on the set, but I suppose they could instead be the dates the pictures were processed at JPI.
(seeing as Jason's production schedule shows the studio dark that week)

New pics via TV insider for Kyle Lowder's appearance as Rex:

@JAS0N47 here's another:
Fyi the metadata on the URL for the first pic also shows "August 12, 2024"
(discovered when downloading pic and then looking at the image properties)

This one doesn't reveal a date

I think we all could've predicted 90% of the quotes in the article

  • going back to the roots of the show
  • focusing on core families
  • telling multi-generational stories

At this point, it's like the prototypical Miss America speech about world peace.  And yet, in generations of journalists, nobody has ever challenged a producer on these vague promises.

I agree, so predictable. If SOD was still publishing, you know this would have been on the front cover as "The plan to save DAYS".

 New TV GUIDE IMG_1152.jpeg

I hate to say it, but for the first time since the Marlene Clark Poulter and Darrell Ray Thomas Jnr era, I actually believe this. Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford genuinely feel like the key to the beginning of Days of Our Lives' return. And then, come 2026, we might [finally] have it altogether with Noel Maxam as executive producer.
