Can I say that I loved that Daphne got the Friday cliffhanger coda? Love it. Loved how she looked. The camera angles through the door. The music. Classic soap. Perfection!

That said...overall, I guess it was a good week. It went from a lot of things going on, waiting to see if anything sticks to a lot of things going on, but feeling more intrigued by it. Even if Friday was full of the usual B&B camp elements. Which didn't bother me cuz I'm used to eye rolling over it.

Like Brooke in her lingerie...was that even Ridge's office...and of course Taylee sees her. And I will give Taylee this...I was eye-rolling right alongside her. Because it is soooooooo Brooke. I'm not sure if I like Carter encouraging Brooke to be with Ridge, but he didn't say anything that was not true. Meanwhile, there was Taylee talking to Daphne about the silliness of Brooke. It did remind me that we are overdue another Steffy/Daphne scene. Since they are good friends, I really wouldn't mind that still going.

Like Sheila, Luna, and the pizza. Heck, I was shocked it was a pizza ordered by ZENDE. And I wondered if Luna would even see Zende since I remember how triggered a lot of people get here when they are in scenes together. Thankfully, that did not happen. Meanwhile, she still acted like Luna in disguise so how dumb are folk to not realize that was her? Still...only Silk Press Sheila would think to go in in a disguise so I giggled as I eyerolled.

So...are they really going to kill Liam? Cuz it makes me think of how I feel about Sonny and his heart storyline aka DIE LIAM DIE.

Uh oh. Trouble in paradise for Will and Electra. Perhaps Sheila is not wrong when she was talking to Luna about how men are so easy. Well...*sips*

I loved that the back half of the week Daphne has been slowly tempting Carter. Classic vixen. And the coda really took my breath away.

How funny. Y&R started off good last week, got great, and ended in a whimper. Meanwhile, B&B was the reverse.

This show was playing earlier this week while I waited for BTG. Taylor and Brooke were fighting about Ridge. OMG, really? Its been like 35 years and both have become grandmothers multiple times over. I cant believe either woman wold still see him as a prize with all his pingponging back and forth between them

The Sheila/Poppy scenes were illogical. The only reason Sheila would turn on Poppy is simply because Poppy will be eliminated and they need more suspects. Sheila passing judgment on anyone is just dumb and isn't true to character at all.

Sheila and Poppy as outcast allies would be interesting. Sheila understanding why Poppy kept the Lunacy secret because it protected Finn, allowed him to go to medical school, etc. Poppy could lean on Sheila to help her with Luna, even though she's still bitter about being framed for the two deaths.

Poppy/Sheila united front against Li and Steffy! And Sheila could totally manipulate Poppy as a way to get Finn back into her orbit, which is Sheila's real goal.

-- I see Liam got the typical Bold "illness/diagnosis." We have no idea what's wrong. We hear he's getting better, but have no idea what that means. I have no idea why Bridget is typing on that computer in Liam's hospital room.

-- Sheila tells Luna "You are good." I guess that means people who aren't killers are "great."

-- Glad to hear Finn tell Sheila at the end of the show that he didn't want to be a part of Luna's life. I'm sure that will go away tomorrow.

-- This daddy/daughter stuff is so bad. BOLD doesn't care about kids unless they need to write contrived scenes that say "These characters love their children more than life!"

-- Finn spends all his time in his office while Bridget and  (apparently) Liam's personal physician are in his room 24/7. Wonder who covers the rest of the hospital.

-- Had to LOL at the previews for next week. After an entire half hour about Liam's inoperable brain tumor, it was all "Next week, a BOLD fashion show!!!"

Lord...the dialogue on this show. For all the good dialogue in the Poppy/Sheila catfight, there was the silliness of it in the Will/Luna and Daphne/Carter scenes. And Brooke talking about having class? GIRL, BYE. lol.

I don't know. I felt that having Poppy and Sheila getting closer before she found out Finn was Luna's father was obvious set-up for this moment. And what was Poppy thinking? It's SHEILA. LOL. And she gave fair warning and Poppy had to slap her twice. smh. And other than the ending with a cake fight, it was giving. So sad it went silly at the end.

Ugh. Shut up, Taylee. It almost makes me want Brooke to take Ridge back out of spite. That said...I didn't like Brooke eavesdropping and then thought she was going to confront Daphne. GIRL, BYE.

Will/Electra was just typical B&B silliness. And all I could think was that either Will is going to get drugged. Or he will fall for Luna's wiles.

But...so far, so good.

If this happens... I will take everything bad I said about him (Bradley) in the past 2 years BACK. I'll forgive him for everything. Even for Sheila's missing toe. I want to see a tombstone with Liam's name on it! No, correction... I want to see ashes spilt over a swamp. I don't want to have even a slight chance of him coming back. Kill him with fire. And let us all forget that the years 2010-2025 even existed.

I don't usually like to cross post, as it borders on spam, but just in case some don't visit the Days thread, the Hollywood Graveyard channel on YouTube uploaded a new installment today. And the second grave visited in the video, right after Bob Barker, is Joe Mascolo, who played Massimo on B&B. I tried to mark the segment to around where his segment begins, at 2:44. But if it doesn't, just go to that point (or, hey, feel free to watch it all if you want to!):

Bridget's reaction to Liam's "inoperable brain tumor" had me in stitches.

Not only was it fun watching Ashley Jones (try to) emote with a face that doesn't move, but seeing a doctor react to a tumor as she did was hysterical! "IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!!!" Bridget cried as she moaned and wailed about Liam's impending death.

Of course, Finn also pulled the "It's not fair!" card. Another clueless doctor.

I just can't with this show.

    • They are mentioning Aristotle Dumas in nearly every scene now.  Good Lord.  The poor actors must roll their eyes every time they get a new script.
    • BC played Jeffrey O'Neill, her last husband- the ninth.   Yes, April Fools Day 2009 is a date that will live in infamy for GL fans but I feel we all kinda expected it at that point.  The soap press reported that GA's return as Phillip was basically the show's final chance at getting the ratings up.  A Hail Mary if you will.  It didn't extend the show's life but it was fantastic to see Phillip back in SF where he belonged.
    • I think Alexa Havins has been polarizing. A large segment of fans love her and what she's done with the role, while others say she's a good actor but they hate the way Lulu is written -- as someone who interferes and is a harpy. I personally think she's been a terrific recast.
    • The perfect camp. And maybe it's regional? I don't recall seeing a "sponsored in part by..." tag during today's end credits, either, which is usually when I see the commercials.
    • Totally agree on TMG - perfect daytime camp. I always get Febreeze commercials, and did today. I wonder why you're not, that's odd.
    • Dipping my toes back in, and Leslie continues to be THE star. Girl has brought the same energy since day one. Anita has become tons more interesting when played with her former groupmates. Kat is such a massive disappointment. I can’t stand her.
    • this was a great episode. Leslie with Jacob was lol as were the scenes with Jacob/Kat.  I like that Eva is vulnerable at times. Makes it easier to like her. The writers need to do this with Dani more. (and Leslie). The Anita scenes were also well done.  Big credit to the writers today!

date: Thursday, June 5 | Christopher Dunn, Judy Tate | Michael V. Pomarico I love the way Vernon just observes Anita and knows exactly what's on her mind and yet still allows her to explain her way out of it all. He knows his wife. LAURA IS BACK AT WORK! I am very, very happy for you, and I love that Katherine, Mona, and Nicole are there to warmly welcome her back. It's been months! Uh-oh, Ms Dana, here comes the PD to raid your ass; I just wish Eva hadn't moved the helmet and gloves, because she could be caught NOW! Sharon continues to show how absolutely ugly she is with her nasty, distasteful attitude. Shame on her. Absolute shame. Dante Greene is the devil; a truly deplorable human being who clearly felt he could walk over someone without a care by luring the other three Articulettes with him via Anita. I admire that Anita is fully aware of things right now; she's considering everything: the positive and the negative. And with Vernon's support and wisdom, she's got this locked in. Oh, more backstory! There was a hiatus to mourn Barbara, and Anita did not come back. I hate to say it, but that does happen in real life. Choice to take a break, for whatever reasons, and you don't come back together. We've seen it before. I like how humble Eva is with her position at the salon and where she came from, especially in beginning as Nicole's assistant. I appreciate that Laura is struggling to transition back into her work space and that she's re-adjusting, with everyone giving her the grace she needs. I love that Jacob is not backing down to Dana and her attempts to "woo" him. YES ANITA! STAND UP FOR YOURSELF! Vernon saw what was coming and said, "I'm going to safety! This is for the women, not me," and he yeeted himself out of there. Katherine should have an office and a badge at this point; she's more than earned it. Oh, there is a slight flirt in Nicole's eye who is enjoying the continued run-ins with Ted; she's in love with him. And that isn't changing. Go on, Anita! You fight for yourself, girl! Speak the TRUTH! Oh, look, Eva and Laura. This is interesting. Very, very interesting. Notes: Febreze and no commercial; maybe it's only Tide that garners the commercials right now? Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana) continues to serve camp, but it's camp done right. It's not a comedy or a mockery; it's pure daytime camp. I wonder who they'll cast as Dante Greene if the role comes onto the scene. I appreciate them bracing the subject matter of suicide in a way that does not come off as... cliche or in poor taste. Tamara Tunie (Anita) is continuing to show up! I love this for her. A true matriarch and legend!
