Yeah there have been SOME moments when she came in, but I have noticed in my slow binging that it appears to now be all over the place outside of Nikki, Claire maybe, and anyone who is dressed for the season.

I hate to do it, but I do like giving credit where it's due.

I loathe the Quad from Hell (c) @soapfan770, but I enjoyed...well...mostly lol...the scenes of Adam telling Sally and Chelesa telling Billy that they were back together. If I have to sit through how contrived it all was, at least give me the organic story beat of them being told. AND on screen. As expected, Sally took it well while Billy took it all the way to Hades with his 'Woe Is Me' act, attacking Chelesa AND Sally. Then it was downhill after that for me with them. I loved what Sally had on (red, red, red) and her and Adam STILL have chemistry. So it's sad he's with that dull Chels while Sally has to deal with a crybaby. At least for now.

So happy to have Damian and Co. back in town. And that did not disappoint at all. And it appears that JG is slowly starting in on the next beat of the story with Dumas. Loved Lily vs Damian and how it is sadly affecting Nate and Amy. I said I loved Nate and Damian's growing rapport (and how hot they are) and Amy makes three. It was great to see Amy with some fire to her as she went off on her boys after Lily left for trying to keep her in the dark about what was going on with Lily. Also glad that Nate and Damian now suspect that Victor is pulling strings. I also love how my heart almost stopped when Damian almost revealed the extent of Audra/Holden to Nate without realizing it. THAT was a nice near miss.

-- In what universe would Audra sit and discuss a job offer with Victor after what he did to her?

-- Only in Genoa City can a guy who looks like Chance have trouble holding onto a woman.

-- It's absolute bonkers that Phyllis doesn't see how Alan might be connected to her kidnapping, but she has no trouble linking Ashley.

Haha. As soon as I was talking about how production has kinda stalled...here comes the director of this episode being all creative. That beginning with the overhead flower view of Diane and Jack eating. Later on, with Jack talking to Billy but Billy's all in shadows while Jack was normally lit. Interesting. lol.

That said...decent episode. Everyone coming for Damian. I love it when Lily is on the warpath. And I liked her comparing notes with Billy and Giggly Heffa. Meanwhile, Holden vs Nate is growing now that Holden is clearly threatened by the growing Damian/Nate bond. And then Lily's ultimatum at the end? All this talk of Dumas though sadly is making me think that Dumas is

though.

So we are still teasing Diane's remodel of the Abbot mansion? Okay. I did enjoy just seeing her and Jack together. And I enjoyed Jack throughout the episode. And I admit that I love that Billy finally confide in him about Dumas. That said...over Billy's whining. No matter how he keeps saying it's not about Victor this and not Victor that, his actions just keep saying the opposite. I'm with Phyllis. OWN IT.

Monday and Tues episodes were played out on 3 sets. Hardly conducive to good story telling.

Mon- Sharon's cottage, Jazz Lounge, Society

Tues- Jazz Lounge, Society, GCAC room.

Nonetheless, I thought Tues ep was well done. The vets know how to bring it.Great to see Eileen. Traci's hair is not flattering and aging. And I hate the ugly floral jackets she wears. Are she and Julie on Days sharing them?

The acting and script was fine. The problems is with the actual stories.

I've often wondered that same thing about Traci's wardrobe. I have actually looked it up, LOL, and they're not the same but oh so similar.   At least they're not putting Laura from GH in those anymore.

Ooooo intriguing.

I love the Tucker mention. And I really love that JG is already tackling what we were discussing about the possibility that Dumas could be Tucker. And learning that the company that Dumas is heading is another one of Tucker's old companies...Ooo. Though I doubt Tucker is coming back any time soon now, I do love that the story beat is being touched on.

I also love that one of Victor's spies within Jabot is even thinking of blackmailing him for more money. lol. He must not know Victor very well. Meanwhile, I liked that Kyle and Jack are seeing how much 'plans-within-plans' Victor can be and are slowly connecting the dots. Though Jack is too busy worrying about Traci to focus on Victor's latest endgame.

And it was good to see Traci's storyline this episode. And her and Diane's conversation was good. Still...poor Traci being beside herself.

If Damian's storyline is not going to be on, at least there was some good stuff this episode and it all had the feel of intrigues.

Yep. It really seem like momentum is back. So yay!

Victor is Victor-ing. lol. Once the Chancellor storyline was over, I was not expecting any more Victor/Lily or even Lily/Nikki scenes. So I enjoyed their scenes. And keeps the Damian storyline alive. Meanwhile, he still trying to miss with Kyle and Claire...but Kyle has it coming after this episode hehe. And now Victor is teaming up with Audra...YES, PLEASE.

Lord...the Traci storyline. Watching her trying to keep it together is intense and BM is selling it. Watching Diane trying to get through was interesting. And Jack/Traci scene was good. Nice to know Traci agreed to let Jack tell Kyle and Diane though.

Good week.

    • I was wondering what week it was, and it explains the low rating for Knots Landing.
    • Interesting take on Dallas. Frankly I think the plot of JR Returns should have been the way Dallas ended but for whatever reason they thought they had the chance to get renewed for another season lol. A week later Knots’ 2 hour season finale ranked at #10 against Cheers #3 and LA Law at #5. There’s only a handful of other shows running that long and still doing well enough the ratings/rankings i.e. Gunsmoke, Law & Order, NCIS, Grey’s Anatomy and more recently Blue Bloods.    Another point of interest is the unraveling of the 80’s sitcoms had already begun in the spring of ‘91. The first part of a Who’s The Boss? two part season finale we see here ranked at  #40 and second part ranked at #43 the following week. Growing Pains finale the previous week barely made it into the Top 30. The Wonder Years fared no better. Cosby losing ground, Night Court and Dear John just being there etc.

I haven't posted in a few weeks and have some catching up to do. But I did manage to look at the last two episodes after hearing about how good they were. I really enjoyed them. My thoughts on them: The affair/secret child reveal was very good. TMG was really good as Leslie, her whole confrontation with Ted/revealing all to the Duprees was very entertaining. I continue to love AM/Eva. She my top two favorites on the show (along with Nicole). I have a lot of sympathy for Eva and how she was conflicted/ultimately felt guilty about publicly revealing the truth to everyone. I wonder what will happen to her next, especially if she does go and live with the Doctor that is friends with Ted and Nicole. I lol'ed at how Martin/Smitty jumped up and grabbed Leslie when Eva was calling her crazy. The way they did that was funny to me. I haven't liked many of Martin's actions/his attitude especially regarding Smitty/his children, but I think it was interesting how he wanted to check Ted for his actions. And also wanted Bill to be questioned/confronted about his as well. I haven't been the biggest fan of the character of Andre, but I appreciated his calm and measured approach after the reveal and how he talked with Eva. I thought it was interesting that he knew about the affair and convinced Ted not to tell Nicole. Speaking of Nicole, I continue to love her character and view her as the heart of this show/Dupree family. I am interested in seeing where her journey goes as a character after this reveal. I'm looking forward to her leaning on Dani and (also Anita/Vernon, etc...) for a change.

    • Lol.  I love that this board still allows misinformation from a bad source.
    • Thanks @kalbir what a time to have enjoyed the peak of the primetime soaps. Haha you’re good. The only complaint I have with Lorraine’s death as I mentioned recently in the FC thread was it was overkill, and all we got Apollonia. If a pregnant woman had to be killed off, I would’ve chosen just killing off Robin instead in some freak accident or in the explosion at Richard’s to save us from us that disaster lol.    Did Hotel have a cliffhanger that year? I imagine if Hotel had been soapier we would’ve had cliffhangers like the hotel catching on fire or bombed by an ex-lover of Christine. Peter pisses everyone off and is shot in his office. Or a major Golden age star like a Olivia de Havilland shows and tells how she originally owned the Hotel and how Victoria Cabot & Laura Trent stole it from her but now she owns it etc.
    • The whole AMC 2.0 pulled it together in mere weeks to get a show up and running, with scripts and a cast.

Ginger Smith seemed really passionate about being in the executive producer position, and I think she really did a fantastic job in six weeks. It was just well done.
    • I totally didn’t pick up on that. Just perfect! I don’t get the Maurice Johnson hate around here at all. He didn’t take me out of the scenes at all. I understood everything he was portraying. It was great. I do wonder if there will be a personality shift with the new actor, whom I’m still not excited about. Exactly. Right? I’m in the exact same boat as you. Agree with most of this except I never found anything off with Ted, didn’t suspect a thing. I just watched yesterday’s episode and it was one of the best soap episodes I’ve seen in a very long time. I was enthralled the entire time. Just fantastic.
