Featuring an appearance by Michael James Scott, best known for his portrayal of Genie in Disneyโs Broadway musical โAladdin,โ โGeneral Hospitalโ (2.001 million) marked a 17-week high among Women 18-49 (0.19 rating) and a 14-week high among Women 25-54 (0.26 rating) during the week of May 4-8, 2026, topping time slot competitor โBeyond the Gatesโ in both demographics, while crossing the two million viewer mark for the first time in five weeks.
For the week, the long-running ABC daytime drama series was up +0.01 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.19 rating vs. 0.18 rating), even with its year-ago performance, while among Women 25-54, the soap opera saw a big week-to-week increase, up +0.06 (0.26 rating vs. 0.20 rating). Among Total Viewers, the series attracted the second-largest week-to-week gain across daytime broadcast, up +192,000 (2.001 million vs. 1.809 million). Additionally, compared to the same week last year, the drama was up +151,000 viewers (2.001 million vs. 1.850 million), and was also up +125,000 viewers compared to the same week in 2024 (2.001 million vs. 1.876 million).

After ranking No. 1 among soaps in Women 18-49 for four out of the last five weeks, "The Bold and the Beautiful" fell to second place (0.20 rating), behind "The Young and the Restless" (0.24 rating), and was just barely ahead of "General Hospital" (0.19 rating) and "Beyond the Gates" (0.17 rating). The half-hour show hit a 15-week low in the key demo and tied its second-lowest performance of the season. Overall, the soap opera was down 0.06 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.20 rating vs. 0.26 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.33 rating vs. 0.39 rating). On the positive side, the series was up +371,000 viewers compared to the same week last year (2.738 million vs. 2.367 million), and up +105,000 viewers compared to the same week in 2024 (2.738 million vs. 2.633 million).
โThe Young and the Restlessโ averaged 3.210 million viewers, up +67,000 viewers week-to-week and +299,000 year-over-year, marking a five-week high and the 15th consecutive week above the three million viewer mark. The long-running drama series was up +131,000 viewers compared to the same week in 2024 (3.210 million vs. 3.079 million), and was up +0.01 week-to-week and year-over-year among Women 25-54 (0.41 rating vs. 0.40 rating).
Airing just three episodes due to being preempted for UEFA Champions League coverage on Tuesday, May 5, and Wednesday, May 6, โBeyond the Gatesโ was up +0.02 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.17 rating vs. 0.15 rating), while flat with its week ago performance among Women 25-54 (0.24 rating). The soap opera hit a 15-week low among Households (1.0 rating), but marked its ninth consecutive week of year-over-year gains among Total Viewers, up +89,000 (1.627 million vs. 1.538 million). Further, the drama series was up by +438,000 viewers compared to the 2024 performance of former time slot occupant, โThe Talkโ (1.627 million vs. 1.189 million).
โLetโs Make a Deal,โ which also aired just three episodes due to preemptions by UEFA Champions League coverage on Tuesday, May 5, and Wednesday, May 6, continues to thrive. For the week, the second half-hour of the game show was flat with its week-ago performance among Women 18-49 (0.24 rating), and up +0.01 among Women 25-54 (0.34 rating vs. 0.33 rating). Compared to the same week last year, it was up +0.04 among Women 18-49 (0.24 rating vs. 0.20 rating) and up +0.02 among Women 25-54 (0.34 rating vs.ย 0.32 rating). Meanwhile, the first half-hour was up +0.04 and +0.06, respectively, week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.21 rating vs. 0.17 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.30 rating vs. 0.24 rating). Compared to the same week last year, the program was up +0.02 among Women 18-49 (0.21 rating vs. 0.19 rating) and up +0.01 among Women 25-54 (0.30 rating vs. 0.29 rating). Among Total Viewers, the second half-hour was up +128,000 week-to-week (2.687 million vs. 2.559 million), while the first half-hour was up +231,000 (2.233 million vs. 2.002 million). The year-over-year gains were even more impressive, with the second half-hour up +570,000 (2.687 million vs. 2.117 million) and the first half-hour up +407,000 (2.233 million vs. 1.826 million).
โTODAY with Jenna & Sheinelleโ has greatly improved over its predecessor, โTODAY with Jenna & Friends,โ particularly in terms of demographics, and has emerged as a top-five program in both Women 18-49 and Women 25-54. The fourth hour of the โTODAYโ franchise was up an impressive +0.08 and +0.07, respectively, over the year-ago performance of โTODAY with Jenna & Friendsโ among Women 18-49 (0.25 rating vs. 0.17 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.34 rating vs. 0.27 rating). The news program also gained +120,000 viewers year-over-year (1.399 million vs. 1.279 million) and increased by +50,000 viewers over โTODAY with Hoda & Jennaโ in 2024 (1.399 million vs. 1.349 million).
