Steve usually has Jason speaking slowly and deliberately, which makes sense for the character. But it doesn't always work when the show is doing action/mob scenes, as his slow-paced speech can take already-boring expository dialogue and make it more sluggish. But in family storylines like his scenes with Danny today, the slower pace gives the actors more time to react and convey things with their facial expressions. I actually think Steve does play Jason as a damaged character that doesn't take social cues well and thinks people are judging. But after watching it all play out I am not so sure now. I hope the sex worker that Jordan and Nina hired ends up dead and Drew is blamed. When in reality it was Ezra who killed her.
