The truth is that Maurice Johnson is going to end up with a lot fewer fans than he had before he started using social media this way.

I've gone from feeling really bad for the guy to not caring. I can't be the only one.

Mm-hmm. And how things and impressions can change in just couple of days. What the hell happened to lead to this mess? I'm not sure if I want to know.

This sounds like the title of a Megan McTavish-style autobiography.

DMing fans a save my job petition is crazy. This is reminding me of how Michael Muhney and Daniel Goddard were moving when they got fired from Y&R I hope Maurice peeps the line he’s toeing and chills out.

Maurice Johnson was sent to the curb like a trash bag, and now he's expected to behave as a "good sport" about it? He supported this entity like no other, and was rewarded with a replacement. I don't blame his behavior at all.

Well it is show BUSINESS.

He had a contract with a 13 week option and it was used. Very disappointing for him and viewers but he most likely will not be the only actor dropped over time.

Best to ride high and move on.

I had to laugh when I came across this while scanning old soap mags. Maurice is merely participating in an age-old tradition.

It is very strange. I've never heard of anything like this till now. I was not sure why his posts were so ambiguous at the beginning... but now all of it becomes a lot clearer.

What he was doing was to try to keep a decent reputation. After all he does want to work again. Any & every campaign there MUST be a petition & the only petitions worth anything at all ARE change dot org ones. So, even as you know they NOT effective, it's more or less a rule that you have one. Sounds silly, right? That's because it is. When I ran our very successful one for Beverlee I even got this amazing email from the President of NATAS (Emmys). Not that we got what we wanted. That was never going to happen. They do not give Posrhumous Emmys. It's their policy.
