You can love your child and not like them. Anita does not like Dani. She is more concerned about looks and appearances. Dani has some real issues that are obvious but Anita did not care bc she will do anything to preserve how the outside views the family. She and Vernon literally sacrificed Dani to protect Martin and then get mad when Dani has a breakdown.

 

I dont get or like the comparisons to Erica. Erica was not crazy. Everything she did was calculated and fueled by her own selfish desires. Dani is clearly someone suffering mental health issues. Simply scolding her is not going to bring her down to Earth. She needs to see a psychiatrist and potentially be put on meds bc there is something not right in her head. She's not a bad person but rather is fragile and broken. She's immature and emotionally stunted, bc of the way her family always treated her as a child. I think being a model was her first chance at getting independence but she never got to fulfill those dreams bc she gave it up at age 19 and became submissive to Bill. Now she is divorced, alone and never developed the proper skills to function alone as an adult. Dani is weak in a way that would never describe Erica

 

Oh and Anita is no Mona. She's more of a Stephanie Forrester type.

I bet Silkpress Sheila is going to use this weak moment for the family to... develop more and more her evil plan. 

Dani is the family's Achilles heel. And I think Vernon and his WHATEVER DANI WANTS DANI GETS treatment... is at the root of it all.

When your unhinged daughter is threatening to murder people... and the first thing you think is how to... help her... erase the damage she did to her and the family's reputation... I mean... that's a spoiled BRAT narcissist you raised.

Um... I am not saying that Anita is Mona... I am not an idiot... after all. Or that Dani is Erica-copy. No. I am just saying they are going to have a similar dynamic of a mother-daughter duo with the mother telling the daughter how it is and keeping it real. You are taking my words too directly. LOL.
