Not to mention Bridget and Rick - caught between Eric and Brooke. No way Rick wouldn't have returned to LA to work with his mother and protect his legacy as Forrester.

The other beat: throw in $B. Justin was already involved. Does anyone really believe $B would stay on the sidelines? Seriously, he would be backing Brooke and Katie and probably engineering a *coup* of Carter to snag FC for his two queens.

Eric/Ridge could've reluctantly gone back to FC to design couture. Thomas could've re-emerged.

Brooke's BeLief takeover had everyone working together, which presented plenty of organic drama. I never understood Ridge/Eric hiding out at the mansion instead of being at FC everyday in Carter's face. Like they would pin *all* their hopes on getting FC back on Steffy p*mping out some French woman. Please.

This is a story that could've played out for two years. So now that Eric has his stapler back, Hope is canned, there's absolutely no drama at FC.

Yeah, I briefly returned to see the Finn/Lunacy reveal.

The March Madness break reminded why I should stop wasting 18 minutes a day and return to reading recaps. It's a shame. There's absolutely no compelling reason to watch or care.

Well for a short week, I liked it. I think my only disappointment was that this episode had no more of Luna/Sheila. The theme: fallout. I've liked what I saw in both main stories.

I loved Poppy vs Luna. It looked like Luna was just mowing all over her mother. Therefore, I was happy to see Poppy got some good licks in at the end. And then the reveal to Sheila...? That's just trouble waiting to happen. Scratch that, I didn't like Luna saying to Poppy that she's basically going to aim herself at Will.

And the fallout from the Takeover. I liked it even though it ended basically being status quo. Or maybe I should say that I liked the acting. We all know JMW gives good bitca and that was on full display on this episode. Meanwhile, Carter making up with Ridge was awww. But now they are just walking all over him. And Brooke...is just being Brooke. Le sigh. I see a lot of moving parts that intrigue me (where does Daphne go from here, is Brooke really not going to help her daughter, Hope's next step, the hint of couture aka fashion show coming) but it's funny how Hope is basically out on her butt like she said she would be if Carter gave in.

Good cliffhangers going into March Madness.

I sometimes don't pay close attention to the show (I'll do other things while the show is on in the background) but wasn't it Carter who come up with this whole takeover idea?   How in the world is Hope getting the most blame out of all of this?  Am I being gaslit by how everyone is blaming Hope?  And now it looks like Brooke will also turn on Hope too.

That Sheila/Luna kiss was weird.  WTF was that.  LOL

Bingo.

And of course it's Hope to blame! In this misogynistic show it's always the woman's fault... Haven't you heard that in Ridge's eyes she is a worthless slut and nasty little bitch?!  We counted, btw... and Hope has slept with couple of guys LESS than his guard dog Steffy.

And yes, he said all of this in front of Brooke. Her mother. Who then had this "Aha!" moment, slapped the sh-t out of him... and stormed out... leaving all of us feeling like a new era may be on the horizon. But no... After that scene... Brooke was basically written out... minimized to crying over losing Ridge to Taylor. And right now... it looks like she is going to side with Ridge against her daughter. Maybe it's time to step it up a notch and write it so Brooke gifts a kidney to Ridge... to make him realize how much she will sacrifice for him. Never in the nearly 40 years history of the show... has Brooke been such a pathetic loser.

She was once Bradley's favorite storyline driver... I wonder what happened... so that in 2025 she only gets the worst of scraps. People don't want to believe it... but I won't be surprised if she left in the coming years. KKL has been traveling non stop in Europe and was just given the Powerful Woman Award in Italy.

She's going places where she is being treated basically like royalty. And her episodes on Bold are becoming less and less and less. Good FOR her!

All of this is spot on. IMO, you're correct that written correctly this story could have run a couple of years and had long term fall out. I think it flopped from jump because the way Carter took control made no sense at all. There's no way this would have stood up in court, and then, all he had to do was rip the papers in half to return the company??? Really??? If it was so easy, why didn't Steffy just go in the office and rip them up herself.

A much more plausible story, such as when Brook took control because of their misuse of her creation, would have made much more sense.  And, then play out all of the beats. It had the potential to be rife with conflict and leaving all the Forrester/Logan hybrids having to pick sides.

I think something that's been missing for a loooong time on this show is an underdog, like Spectra, trying to climb the ranks. This story could have resulted in a group of characters starting a rival company, for instance.

The shoulders and sleeves are too tight. He'd benefit from a larger size. The yellow arrows show where the shoulder cut should actually be placed in my opinion. I don't mind the granpa fashion per se, I just have an OCD with sizes LOL
    • Today May 11, 2025, Pope Leo briefly addressed the crowd in the square.  He sang the prayer to Mary and then said:   Dear brothers and sisters, The immense tragedy of the Second World War ended eighty years ago, on 8 May, after having claimed sixty million victims. In today’s dramatic scenario of a piecemeal third world war, as Pope Francis stated many times, I too address the world’s leaders, repeating the ever-timely appeal: “Never again war!”. I carry in my heart the sufferings of the beloved Ukrainian people. May everything possible be done to reach an authentic, just and lasting peace, as soon as possible. Let all the prisoners be freed and the children return to their own families. I am deeply saddened by what is happening in the Gaza Strip: may there be an immediate ceasefire! Let humanitarian aid be provided to the stricken civil population, and let all the hostages be freed. On the other hand, I have welcomed with satisfaction the announcement of the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, and I hope that through the upcoming negotiations, a lasting accord may be reached soon. https://www.vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/en/angelus/2025/documents/20250511-regina-caeli.html
    • Lol! I'm quite sure it would.
    • But that is pretty much situation normal for all soaps. They do not tend to continue to show things like surgical scars. They also play fast & loose with hospital procedures.
    • re: prior two posts about Trump's new opulent plane contrasted with utter starvation in Gaza... Trump and Netanyahu are giving "Let them eat cake".  And it's horrific. In 2013, Pope Francis removed a bishop from running the Limburg Germany diocese because he was constructing an opulent 31-million-euro building. This is from Reuters obit of Francis: https://www.reuters.com/world/obituary-pope-francis-shook-up-church-with-simplicity-raising-conservative-ire-2025-04-21/ From the start, Francis sent clear signals to priests and bishops about the type of Church he wanted. He said there was no room for "careerists or social climbers" among the clergy, told cardinals they should not live "like princes," and said the Church should not "dissect theology" in lush salons while there were poor people around the corner. "If investments in banks fall, it is a tragedy and people say 'what are we going to do?' but if people die of hunger, have nothing to eat or suffer from poor health, that's nothing. This is our crisis today. A Church that is poor and for the poor has to fight this mentality," he said early in his papacy. -- Pope Francis stood up for the poor, the unhoused, the migrants of all faiths.  He lived simply and ordered that when he died, that he wished to be interred in a simple wooden coffin. I sincerely hope that the new pope Leo will follow Francis' example.
    • Co Sign!!!!   I have been watching the show regularly over the last few weeks and am pleasantly surprised by how much easier it is to watch each day. This definitely is confirmation for me that Paula and Jeanne wrote the stroke episodes, cause I felt the same way watching those. Could be more exciting for sure, but interactions now make more sense and everything seems to be a bit more character driven which is great. I will add though, there are still about 10 or so characters i'd love to see gone, and hope a few will exit in the future! Otherwise, happy with the changes so far.

    • There is suffering everywhere you look, says mother of emaciated baby girl trapped in Gaza https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/czrv5rl73zdo Quoting excerpts from BBC article: The baby's mother Najwa, 23, is changing Siwar's nappy. She weighs just over 2kg (4lb 6oz). A baby girl of five months should be around or over 6kg. "There was no food when I gave birth to her," says Najwa. "If I wanted to feed myself so I could breastfeed her, I had no nutrients to make my health better... She now only drinks formula milk, and we don't know how we'll be able to provide it for her." Israel has banned international journalists from entering Gaza to report independently. According to Siwar's doctor, Ziad al-Majaida, "Nothing enters through the borders, no milk, food or anything. This leads to big problems here for the kids. This baby needs a specific type of milk. It was available before, but because of the border closure, the stocks have run out for a while now." Since the beginning of the year, according to the UN, about 10,000 cases of acute malnutrition among children have been identified. Food prices have rocketed by as much as 1,400%. Charity kitchens, which have helped hundreds of thousands of Gazans, are shutting as food supplies run out. Twenty-five bakeries supported by the World Food Programme have been forced to close. Israel cut off all humanitarian aid and other supplies from entering Gaza on 2 March, and resumed its military offensive two weeks later The United Nations has said the Israeli blockade constitutes "a cruel collective punishment" on civilians. The UN's humanitarian director, former British diplomat Tom Fletcher, said that international law was unequivocal. "As the occupying power, Israel must allow humanitarian support in... Aid, and the civilian lives it saves, should never be a bargaining chip," he warned. From the BBC reporter: I put this point to Boaz Bismuth, a leading member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party. He (Bismuth) denies there is an aid crisis caused by the blockade. "There is food in Gaza... Israel wouldn't do such a restriction if the population didn't have food. I mean, I know my country perfectly well," he (Bismuth) said. BBC reporter: I put it to Bismuth that he was denying the evidence of people's eyes, that children were starving. "There are not starving children. I repeat again." He (Bismuth) said that there had been allegations months ago of famine, ethnic cleansing and genocide in Gaza "which was crap". ----  ----  ---- A UK-based advocacy group for Israel has the nerve to claim war may reduce obesity in Gaza https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/may/10/uk-lawyers-for-israel-condemned-over-claim-war-may-reduce-obesity-in-gaza
