And one more thing…

GabiChic managed to survive its owner going to prison for murder (and it wasn't the first time), yet now Melinda is raising alarms over an article in The Spectator? The stakes just don’t feel believable. I mean, who’s invested in the drama surrounding a one-woman fashion line that no one seems to wear? Is it even stocked at PriceMart? Plus, Gabi doesn’t need yet another reason to hate EJ, so those scenes felt like a complete waste, only to reveal that Melinda sold the necklace.

Agreed.

Out of all of John's kids, Paul really is the best one to carry on John's legacy. Too bad we can't get Christopher Sean full time.

I'm still wondering why Maggie, or any of the Kiriakises aren't just doing it

I really wish for Gabi to keep pressing Javi on why the hell he's so into Leo. I was so disappointed when she gave into it - go out and kick Leo's ass to the curb Gabi!!!

Orpheus again??  Please let this be the last time we see him.  I hope he dies once and for all.  Carlivati has gone to this well too many times.

Tate and Holly's fight scene was pretty good and it was because of Leo Howard and Ashley Puzemis' acting - they have a lot chemistry.

Since Joe Mascolo passed away, there's no real nemesis for John Black.  Orpheus is the next best choice, if you want a nemesis to be involved in John's death.
However, Orpheus has been overused and (slightly) watered down in the past several years, so I don't know if that fits anymore.

I like the way they did Epiphany's death on GH.  This is what they wrote in after the actress Sony Eddy died suddenly.  The character Epiphany was a nurse who had been accepted to medical school, and they said that while en route driving to that med school, she noticed a car accident, and stopped to help a victim and the victim happened to be a nurse.    The effort of the rescue caused Epiphany to collapse at the site due to smoke inhalation and a preexisting heart condition.  Epiphany died a hero as a nurse about to start medical school, saving another nurse.  No darkness or villains involved.

I'd prefer to see John Black die a hero, instead of due to some convoluted Orpheus nonsense -- not a spoiler, just seems that's where this is headed.
(Of course I wish that John doesn't die, but RIP Drake)

So I decided to check out an episode on Peacock and this guy came on my screen and was shocked to hear him being called Alex when I thought this was Ciara's husband Ben. WTF?!?!  Every time I chec out Days there is some actor playing a completely different role. Does this annoying regular viewers bc iits part of the reason why I cant get into this show anymore bc this is too confusing, especially when Ive tried to watch YT clips. Days is the only show thats this bad. I know GH was doing that with the OLTL refugees but even then it didint fl as rampant

DAYS can be like watching a production of David Mamet's "A Life in the Theatre."

Ugghhh Orpheus.

Hopefully, this’ll be the end for him too. I’m so tired of him. He was used wayyyy too much these past few years. And I would really, really hate for him to succeed in killing John after all this time. That wouldn’t be right at all. If anything, they should have John sacrifice his own life to kill Orpheus once and for all.

Btw, what was with that weird jump cutting after Orpheus fired the gun at Marlena?

I liked the Shawn/JJ scenes too and I’m glad that the show is establishing a friendship/relationship between the two of them. They both could really use someone to talk to about their problems lol it could also be interesting if the Shawn/Jada/Rafe mess causes problems for JJ and Gabi too.

And I like that Belle is being weaved into everything as well. I wonder how things are going to play out with her and EJ tomorrow.

The cliffhangers were ok, but I really hope that this isn’t the end of John’s storyline yet.

RSW used to play Ben Weston, reformed necktie killer & husband to Ciara & father of 2 kids with her. Now he plays Alex Kiriakis.

Emily O'Brien played Gwen "RiceChex" & then she played Theresa who used to be called Jeannie, daughter of Kimberly (Brady) & Shane Donovan.

Totally annoying.

See this: https://www.instagram.com/p/DH3cURFJkkO/

Ron Carlivati seemed to think this was one big joke.

What happened with RSW, the actress who played Ciara wanted out, so they wrote the couple out BUT Ron has the hots for RSW & so it became a thing. The situation with EOB is too confusing to try to explain.

    • I also like how they've set up all the pieces where they could do yet another "shocking Gio parentage reveal" in another year or so if they want to. Because it's not at all implausible that teenage BLQ would have sexually experimented with both Dante and Cody. So if they want another violin-smashing moment next year, just have Gio find out that Cody is his real bio-dad.
    • I agree, also am able to see various points of view. Lulu, Lois & I think the two of them are going to rival one another for the heat they are going to take.
    • When you think about it, someone who stayed on for as long as Devon must have some fans out there. She also had an alcohol issue. I saw a host of episodes with her and Cliff on YouTube. I wanna say that’s who Cliff was entertaining while Nina had the affair with Steve.  Do you believe she lasted so long because Brooke left and they kept recasting Nina?

    • Thanks again @Paul Raven  It shows you just what a unique and memorable performer Denise Alexander was that I can see her in these moments and hear her even though I've never watched any of the material. On paper it probably wasn't up to much, but I do wish I could see her playing it. Meanwhile, the Diana material continues to seem like one plate of ass after another...I was thinking she had finally been able to move on with the therapy breakthrough, but then we're right back with her believing Peter and Leslie are having an affair. I don't know how much further off the material is that made Valerie Starrett leave, but I can't blame her.  I see less and less of Jessie anywhere in this - is this when Emily's health troubles were starting to phase her out of story? Going a few summaries back, writing out Lee, Caroline, her son and his wife seems so rushed. It's a shame Marland, or whoever, killed off all of them (aside from Lee), as they might have given Lee some story down the line. Or maybe the daughter-in-law survived too - I can't remember.
    • Thanks!  I compiled the list and posted it for the 59th anniversary in November, but just made the updates now for the couple of new cast members we've had since then! Didn't realize until I did the update that Peyton is the first-ever contract actor born in Nevada, so that's another state off the 0 list!
    • What I love about this story is that I can empathize with both Lulu's point of view AND Lois's point of view. I can understand why Lulu thinks it's important for the truth to come out and why she feels a moral obligation to let Dante know he has a son. But these good intentions have gotten all mixed up with her hatred for BLQ, and so she's going about it like a self-righteous bully who hasn't thought through all the consequences of this reveal. And I can understand Lois's thought process keeping this secret. She couldn't bear to give her grandson away to strangers, and so she arranged an adoption that kept him in the family. From her perspective, it's worked out beautifully because as Gio grew up as a "Palmieri cousin", he got to know his father Dante, his mother Brook Lynn, and his grandfather Sonny. She just had the hubris to believe that she could play God and keep the secret forever.  Maybe it's just getting to see Cynthia Watros and Laura Wright in full-on catfight mode a few days ago, but the show is starting to remind me of Guiding Light in its heyday, where most of the drama comes from the interactions of long-running characters who are likeable in some ways but have enough fatal flaws that they create their own problems. That's a sharp contrast for the way GH has generally been written since the JFP era, where most of the drama comes from external threats: supervillians, Sweeps month disasters, the mob shootout of the week.
    • Wow, @JAS0N47, that list of states was impressive! And I never knew that James Read hailed from near me! (I was born and raised in a nearby city, about 15 minutes away!) (Liked him since he played Murphy Michaels on Remington Steele when I was a kid. As an older kid, I also loved him on North and South!)
    • Oh, I remember this vividly! So trippy to see Mike Brady as a devil-worshiping judge. LOL! (With the mustache and curly hair in some pics, Reed seemed to have a surface resemblance to early-Jeopardy Alex Trebek!)
    • This makes Karen, now this & a guy on Facebook named Brent Costel. Sony is really deleting so many files.
