Correct, no kiss & no real date per se.

Those of us who are once again hoping that this is going to happen see a much simpler scenario but it relies on MB to want what we want. That's one point. The second point is VM/Brenda. The third point is Frank/the show. We know 2 & 3 would be GO GREENLIGHT if the first is. 3 points makes a direct line. The only problem is what if this is Charlie Brown, Lucy & the football.

I don't hate Jason quite as much this time and I do think Steve is putting in a bit more effort. But there's no story and nothing interesting for him to do.

If Steve is serious about what he claimed up and down last year in interviews and podcasts, which I doubt (especially post-divorce) - that he wants to do a couple more years and then wind down his career and retire - I would call him on it, and give Jason a final story on his contract with a new/old woman (Keesha Ward, just to fúck with the Facebook biddies in the audience) and then write him out and kill him off at the end of his contract. That or if he doesn't like it he can go at the end of his next 13 weeks. It wouldn't make any difference to me.

He costs too much and sucks up too much time (unlike, say, Lucky, who has less airtime, has begun to settle in and has a clear place to land in story/romance despite a rough intro), and his return has flopped. So Steve's in a much weaker position IMO than Jason has maybe ever been. He can play what he's told and then exit, or he can go immediately. That would be the deal for me.

This seems to be a prevailing fan opinion. Besides seeing more from him onscreen which is HUGE on their podcast he is more of a cheerleader for the show. I believe if they tell him XYZ is his story coming up that he would talk it up & he has not done so with either Anna or Sasha. He's said he has great scenes coming up with LW. She's said she has great scenes coming up with him. However, I do not take that to mean A THING, just actors who are friends & some story they liked.

And it would be a big surprise if Burton could afford to retire.

I am pretty sure Steve is very well off even with the divorce.   I remember hearing or reading years ago he was wise with his money and investments.   Plus, he made a ton of money with his Monavie shill.    I think he's okay to retire.

Mo is also someone who I believe is financially sound enough to retire.    I know the state of the nation is crazy right now, but both these guys have been steadily working for decades.

They’re using Mo *slightly* less. Year to date, he’s tied for 5th most episodes of any actor on the show (after Burton, Wright, Havins, Mathison), and he’s usually number 1 with a bullet. And there are episodes in which he appears but is centered less than usual.

He’s still giving nothing in his scenes, but it’s something.

I honestly don't know how I feel about the current state of GH. Is it awful, no, but it's not very good either. I don't know really what the writers are trying to convey.

GH still has some of the best actors in the business but the writing doesn't match their caliber.

I didn't see any positive response on Twitter here, although the only popular pairings I tend to see on there were Sprina, Liaison, and the various women those fans wish Ric could be with, but I doubt anyone here, there, or Narnia were asking for Jason/Anna. Or Jason/Sasha.

I know the budget is thin, but this would be the time to bring in a new love interest for Jason. I am not saying I want to see it, but he's there, he's overpaid, so why not? There's plenty of story to be found - dealing with Carly's response, to her knowing he's in the mob, and the whole mess with Sasha where he is claiming to be her baby's father. Admittedly she would need an ulterior motive to be willing to put up with this, but she could be some kind of a con who falls in love with him, as everyone falls in love with Jason.

I know this will probably be unpopular, but I might try Jason with Lois.  Lois has already been thrown under the bus for this whole Gio storyline and I do remember Lois/Jason having some nice scenes in the 90's.   If you pivot Jason out of the mob quietly or if Jason secretly confides in Lois about Sasha/Michael/the baby it might work.   They could bond over baby secrets.  I know, I am really reaching here lol.

Indeed!

Hey, if they were going to bring another body onto the Big Ship LollyBLOAT, I'm gonna have to say go for a recast Keesha, have a Ward, concoct some reason why she's not deterred by memories of AJ, etc.

But, for the record, I'm against more people being added.

    • Yes, they did.  I still have them.  I think there were three.  AMC and GH as well.
    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
