I forgive the hair, because it is a soap and they have to sell shampoo and hair dye.  But, the costume department should help out the writers and give Cat a style that is distinguishes her now from when she was committing fraud.

Finally, some follow up with EJ/Rafe/Kristen. Still not sure why we couldn’t see the outcome of EJ and Rafe’s fight though. 

I wonder who worked on today’s episode because it was weird af. And it didn’t even feel like a Jamey episode. The way it was broken down and written was very strange. Plus, the dialogue was just lousy. They seemed to hold back in every scene instead of really going there with every character that appeared today. Gabi’s non-reaction to Fake Rafe and Stephanie’s non-reaction to Shawn and Jada immediately come to mind. And, why the hell did Fake Rafe not try to stop Gabi after she got a lock of his hair and said she was gonna have a DNA test done?

And don’t even get me started on the way Kristen was written today. I’m tired of her. It’s time to send Stacy back to Y&R (and take Greg Rikaart with her) and write Kristen out for good. Btw, I wish somebody actually would throw Rachel under a bus 😂😂

The only person that I seemed to enjoy today was Belle. I liked her scenes with Brady and with EJ. She seemed very smart and I’m curious to see what’s gonna happen now that she’s figured out that EJ is up to something. I still think that they need to play up the family dynamics as part of her relationship with EJ though. That seems to be another thing that the writers are holding back on. 

With episodes like this, it’s no wonder Ron was fired. But it seems a few other people deserve firing as well.

I don't remember Shawn being on when fake Rafe was

Ya know I began watching this show in 1970. And, it's true that I have taken breaks at different times. I am now behind, a whole month behind, and now even more with BTG, I show no sign of being able to catch up. So, today, I've made a decision to dump a month & jump to the current show.

I have 2 questions for you. 

1. Is there anything I need to know about this month?

2. Are there any stand-out Julie/SSH episodes I need to catch, even if out of order?

I adored Rita today, and that made up for a lot of messy dialogue.  She's a perfect henchman for EJ.  She doesn't use a gun, just her wits and a taser.  And I get a kick out of her calm demeanor.

Shawn-D, I think I speak for most when I say that there was no need to get dressed so quickly on our account. But, the rest of the costumes included some odd choices.  What was that dress that Kristen had on, and why would she wear that to see her mother?  And why is Stephanie wearing a sleeveless lace dress in February?

To me, the issue was the poorly organized passage of time.  Jada and Shawn picked up immediately from yesterday, which happened a few hours after Rachel was arrested.  But, because there was no follow up from last week with EJ and Kristen, they felt like they lived in a time warp.  And, if Kristen hasn't been arrested, how did she know what happened to Rachel Sr.?

Good casting with Rita, I agree -- and much better than with old lady Rachel. That was a miss for me.

Chanel was told to not get pregnant and 5 minutes later wanted to adopt Sophia's baby

Jada was on every day.

Julie was only on February 6 I think

One gets the sense that Joy Wesley is not going to be the next female lead of DAYS.

I don't think anyone has spoken to her or about her since she went to the hospital after being poisoned. 

She's a good idea as a 'legacy' character, but she's poorly fleshed out beyond being a mattress-mate for lonely men.

I've heard that they're shooting all day, coming in as early as 6am and sometimes working to 8pm or later. You'd be hungry too if you were doing multiple scenes with little time to break for lunch. And since the scenes are at a restaurant, a plate of fries is very tempting.

I feel like fries would quickly go rank on set though 😂

My God, Brady is so pathetic. 

I don’t mind him being messy but this is ridiculous. I can’t believe he’s going to allow himself to be manipulated by Kristen again. I’d rather he relapse into drugs and alcohol again than do this. Seriously, how could a man like John Black have sired such a loser? 

If I was Ava, I would’ve told Brady to go f*ck himself. And honestly, this enabling that Brady and Kristen are doing is disgusting. They deserve to lose their kid. 

And yeah, Brady needs to play a much bigger part in Tate’s storyline too. 

The Belle/Marlena scenes were really good. Belle breaking down and talking about stupid she’s been lately was the best part of today. And this was also a great way and the right way to use Marlena. But again they missed an important mark; Belle pointed out that Fake Rafe raped Sami but yet still hasn’t mentioned the fact that she was screwing the other guy who raped Sami. That’s an important dynamic that needs to be explored. 

But at the same time, I feel like Days has been handling the subject of rape with a lot more care lately. And honestly, that doesn’t seem very Ron-like to me. Maybe this was another factor that played into his firing.

Shooting till 8pm I'm sure would be overtime and there's no way Days would be paying a cent more than the minimum.

Would be interesting to know how a typical shooting day is arranged.

Are they taping according to what sets are available or what actors are there that day?

The logistics must be horrendous and it must heavily influence how the writers plot out the week - if they are still mapping out a week at a time in the traditional way.
