The WSB is observing Joss. They want her to solve the murder case. If she brings down Cyrus herself, then they will recruit her into the WSB.

Carly will demand that Jason marry Sasha. Jason will do it because he is her robot.

Carly will not do so. You don't understand the relationship between Carly & Jason. He is not only not her robot, he is not anyone's. Carly & Jason mutually respect each other. She asks him to do things. He asks her to do things. Neither one of them is superior to the other. They are equals. Steve has said that it's not that Jason has to do things for Carly but that he gets to.

Honestly, I would take any story that lets Sasha make her own decisions about her body and her baby.

The whole Sasha needs a man to support her through this trying time is just ridiculous.  Sasha has a job, a home, a large group of friends and family-women have been having with a lot less for years.  Plus, even if she didn't she's still carrying a Q heir.  She'll be fine.

Considering all of Sasha's past trauma I am rooting for her to have this baby and not go through another crisis though.

And this is where I would need Liz, as a single mom who has raised three sons pretty much on her own, to step in, provide friendship and comfort to young Sasha and defend her against those who insist a baby needs both parents or a woman needs a man to support her in raising her child.

Yeah it's 2025, not 1955.
But the current U.S. government wants to bring us to 1825
(Not trying to derail the GH thread, as there's an entire Politics thread at SON for that.)

To stay on topic, I'm just saying that I'm curious how ABC/Disney will respond to the current political climate.  I hope they won't derail progressive storylines on GH or primetime, but who knows.

I just want Sasha to make her own decisions.  As Khan pointed out, they might not even say the *bortion word on the show.

And I agree with CarolineG and others upthread:  Seeing as how Sasha suffered so much in so many storylines, and already lost one child, if she chooses to keep this child, I hope it goes well.  And yeah she CAN raise the child herself.  She's a grown woman!

I would like a Liz and Sasha friendship.  I could understand if Sasha felt overwhelmed or scared about this baby, but she hasn't expressed those thoughts at all.  My baby.  My choice.  The father won't be involved should be enough for everyone in town.  And honestly, if Jason was the father Sasha would have plenty of reason not to name him due to pretty much everything that's happened to Jason since 1996.  Also a solid reason not to name Michael as the father as well.  The guy that just got burned by a bomb that was intended to kill his mob boss father.

I am over Sasha's torture too.  Yet she continues to be humiliated and treated badly to this day for no reason.  I don't think she needs more sympathy from the audience at this point.

GH should be doing an abortion rights story, as I have said many times before. Not necessarily with Sasha's baby but with some unexpected pregnancy, any pregnancy. It would be topical for the times and very appropriate for the show.

But even before the last election, I can't remember the last time GH said the word 'abortion' onscreen or ever dared allow a character to consider pursuing it. Which is pathetic of Frank and co.

I agree.  And that's exactly what she should tell Sonny and Carly, too: that she doesn't want them (or Jason) to have any part in how she raises her baby, as Michael is Exhibit A for what happens when you let your child be raised by [!@#$%^&*] sociopaths.

TBH, I wouldn't trust this regime to tell an abortion rights story since it's clear they don't even understand how babies are made (hi, Gio, Sasha and Cody!).

Well, I'm not so much a Liz fan as I am a fan of the dynamics that have resulted from her raising three, young men single-handedly.  I feel like single mother/head nurse Liz and her boys should be a major focus on this show, because it's REAL, and it's something that a lot of real women deal with everyday.  Something to remember since TIIC have forgotten that these shows are produced primarily FOR women!

Moreover, I feel like if Liz SHOULD be pursuing a new romance, it shouldn't be with any of her baby daddies but with someone who isn't related to any of her sons, as that's a situation that could yield interesting conflicts as well.

    • I know Passions used this trope with Ethan and Sam to drag out the paternity, but GH seems to speed through certain stories while dragging others.
    • For any other soap, I think I’d agree, but GH, I don’t know

    • Agreed, that there was some strange choices in the episode, especially at the end, but overall, that was some great drama that opens up the potential for so much future storyline. Kat vs. Eva having the most potential, especially over Tomas. I have mixed feelings about Martin/BC though. I thought he did pretty well in scenes with Smitty/MM, but the scenes of him confronting Leslie and of him throwing the books were bad lol she acted circles around him.  It’s similar to what Harding Lemay said about George Reinholt at AW; he could be brilliant in one scene, but then mediocre in the next.
    • I know some of y'all really like Brooke Kerr, and so I've tried to give her a shot, despite her frequent flat line readings and distracted "did I leave the front door unlocked?" facial expressions. But lord, she is so bad at playing a tough-talking badass that I was actually rooting for Brad today to spill the beans to Drew.
    • Googling does tend to ruin it.  For those of us who were teens in the late 1970s and early 1980s, you can't imagine how much fun it was to watch the show in the afternoons.  (It came on right after school.)  There weren't any "spoilers" at the time.  We would always try to anticipate how each crime and each mystery would be resolved, and we were ALWAYS wrong, because the stories are filled with so many weird twists and turns.   The head writer (Henry Slesar) and his dialogue writer (Steve Lehrman) invariably toss genuine clues directly into your face in the most unlikely ways, but then they provide a host of "red herrings" to completely confuse you and send you off on the wrong path.  Once the story reaches its conclusion, all you can think is Why didn't I figure that out weeks ago?  lol
    • Does the vault have the original scene and not the short flashback?
    • I appreciate that you are using AI with the knowledge of it's limitations. Some posters take everything it produces as fact.
    • And of course Mama Ru herself appeared on All My Children.
    • The Saturday 8pm slot usually had the lowest rating of the NBC 4 sitcom lineup for some reason. NBC let Saturday night fizzle, They used 9.30 pm to launch 227 and Amen, both of which moved to earlier in the evening but they  kept Empty Nest following GG for several seasons.  Empty Nest should have moved to 8pm with their strongest new sitcom at 9.30, anticipating that GG would eventually falter. Instead they left them there and stretching the sitcom pool too thinly on other nights. When Grand talk over at 9.30 Thurs maybe Night Court and Wings could have been used on Saturday.
