I hope not! This is the best use of Cameron Mathison I've seen since the Ryan/Gillian era of AMC. Smarmy, self-serving politician is really the role that he was born to play, and I hope they keep him around for a long time as a natural antagonist for Jason, Sonny, Carly, Nina, and the Qs.

Wait. Why? Having a brother be sperm donor is something people actually do IRL. It creates a quasi-biological connection through DNA.

Finn, with his long history of addiction, should of course be the sperm donor for BLQ's baby.  Idk, just adopt?

The Joss stuff is so silly that I almost don't even mind it.  She just gets hired and is off to an assignment with no training?

I should have mentioned that part of my problem with Finn is that addiction. I guess the writers need to drum up conflict somewhere, since they created none with the reveal that Chase can't be a bio dad.

Will we get any conflict when we get the Gio reveal? I'm guessing no, at least not between Chase and Brook Lynn.

Yep, I agree. It's so ridiculous that it's my laugh of the day right now. Chris McKenna is playing those Brennan scenes so seriously that I just can't. I've always like him as an actor, but this isn't working -- except as comedy.

On soaps I suppose the DNA connection is fine, but IRL you would just get a sperm donor who gave consent, got evaluated medically, and move on.  You would never choose a donor with a long history of addiction that barely got out of rehab a few months ago unless your main goal is to have a moody, brooding child with floppy hair.  Then Finn fits the bill.

I don't really see any meat in the Gio reveal.  Sure, there will be some fallout from Lois/Brook keeping the secret, but Gio is like the nicest guy ever.  No one would be disappointed about having him as a kid and he has no living parents (adoptive) so how hurt is he going to be? 

Yeah, the Joss stuff is so stupid it just gives me an eyeroll and a chuckle.  It's all so serious and Brennan's basis was you are young, pretty and like to talk.   WTF?
