I think every now and then you see skill from Mo.  He's obviously not at his peak.  I just don't think we have ever seen actual acting skills from Tanisha.  I don't detest Jordan or anything and I am sure TH is a nice woman.  I just don't see the need for the character.

Definitely not at his peak.

I admit that the character of Jordan has moments. Most of them for me was with Vinessa Antonie's portayal though. I haven't seen much with the recasts EXCEPT when they are up against a villain interesting enough. The Jordan before TH has chemistry with Cyrus...the only person she had it with actually. And TH I feel has a bit with Sidwell and definitely does with Isaiah. And I like the pairing, but I can see why she's not needed otherwise.

I think it's a lack of interest and a fear of viewer backlash. I don't even think they have any strongly intended way of using most of their black characters.

I'm quite sure I made no claim of any strong anything! No, I think the ways in which they want to use their black characters would, yes, be definitely weaker. I think they value them because they tick off boxes that are necessary but they want to keep them in these narrowly defined spots & are annoyed that fans want them to be so much more. We are just so unreasonable, ya know!!!

I know some say this is down to her fans complaining about her not being with Spencer, but GH is fine with ignoring fan complaints. They just don't want to use Trina. They never have. I will be surprised if she's still around within a year.

This is similar to the day I realized they valued Spencer like 80% & Trina 20% which I thought was backasswards since I found her to be far more interesting. As to when she'll be gone, gotta be whenever her contract is up. So I think we agree even though we take different paths to arrive at the same spot.

I would have liked to see her mourn Spencer, but it is what it is.

Honestly as much as I've come around to Trina and Kai...I will be surprised as well.

I don't dislike Jordan/Isiah-they just aren't really anything lol.  It just seems like such an obvious pairing for both characters.  They are also used so infrequently and are moving at a glacial pace so I forget about the whole pairing until I see them the next time they are on.

It's just two characters of color paired together so the show can say they are and that it's a 'story'.

The fact that she can't act and Jordan is inherently a non-character has always been inconsequential to Frank. He keeps plenty of useless characters or bad actors on the show.

Finally getting rid of Jordan would mean adding another Black female and having to write for her to at least introduce her. FV clearly has no interest in expending that energy for the Black canvas, so it's easy to just keep Jordan (and Curtis, and many useless white characters as well) ticking along.

I enjoyed today, some interesting moments with Ric and Liz (he seems to be realising that they're not meant to be), Carly and Nina (teaming up at last), Jason and Tracy (they work together so well), Joss and Cyrus (she totally unsettled him by acting nice lol), Kai and Trina (they're sweet together), Liz and Kristina (with Liz seemingly realising that Kristina is quite unhinged lol) and Carly and Tracy.

Cody's unfortunately become a total jerk which is a shame after all the good work over the past two years making him likeable.

And then there was Ric and Ava - definitely felt some heat there.

And the first we've seen Avery in, maybe a year? We saw Donna in Dec. but Avery was upstairs.

And that goes back to my discussion this morning with Contessa about that darn block filming and the advantage/disadvantage to it storywise. Because as much as I like them, I agree with you on them being shown infrequently.

Same with Lucky and Liz and their side of the Cyrus tale. Here we are approaching the halfway point of the February Sweeps and Cyrus is STILL walking free when Joss is on to him. So are Lucky and Liz. Brennan gave Joss the video of the Dex stabbing while Lucky and Liz have the smoking gun of the doctor notes. And yet...none of that story has come together at all or look like it is climaxing because the characters keep popping up infrequently. Heck, Cyrus vanished for what looked like two weeks himself. It is quite maddening.

-- I guess we all have our takes on acting. I know this board in general thinks Tanisha Harper is awful, but I've stayed out of those discussions because I just don't see it. I don't think she's bad and I'm fine with her performance. Doesn't mean I'm "right," but I did want to offer my perspective on her.

-- On the other hand, I agree that the Oscar actor was really weak. I blame the show for all of that, though. They gave heavy front-burner story to someone who couldn't handle any of it when they had other actors of his age in the cast who could.

This is exactly where I’m at on both.

And your perspective is appreciated. But very true. Acting will always be subjective.

I don't really speak on Oscar because I was not regularly viewing during his time on the show for the most part. But from what little I've seen, I agree with everyone else though.

Today was actually pretty enjoyable. Enjoyed Nina/Carly being on the same side.

Lord Ava almost kidnapped Avery, thank god Ric was there with Liz. And ooo that kiss. I like that Ric knows Liz is still a hard no but it doesn’t stop him from still being there no matter what. I do wonder if we move forward with Ric and Ava, how does that change Ric’s devotion to Liz and how does Ava respond to that. I desperately want Ava to get custody of Avery. It’s never made sense to me how Sonny and Carly managed to have custody this long of her daughter when Sonny is even worse.

Kristina let her crazy show in front of Liz. I hope she ruins the custody case for Sonny.

Carly and Tracy coming to an understanding was nice as well.

Jason being forced to pretend he’s Sasha’s baby daddy is dumb as hell.

Tanisha Harper as this Jordan, I do not think she is awful. 🤷‍♀️I also do not think she is wonderful.

MB, Mo IMO is getting worse & worse. But, still, he is better with Kate Mansi & with Dom.
