I don't think writing will help Tanisha Harper much.  I think some better direction and an acting coach might.  She's very wooden.  I do understand your point that there really is no range or purpose for Jordan and I would probably just ditch the character in general.  I know FV likes to have a huge cast, but you could rest Jordan for awhile and bring her back when you actually have something for her to do.  There has been no reason for her to be wandering around town for all these months having a few scenes here and there with very little importance.

Honestly, I would rest [most] if not [all] of the Ashford clan and return the Hardy/Ward families, who I'd much rather see. Honestly, Brook Kerr could have been a Gia Campbell recast (with Trina as her daughter, still). Tajh Bellow could have been Tommy Hardy Jnr (a.k.a. TJ Hardy). So many different avenues could have been taken instead of sticking up with the Ashfords. Jordan, ultimately for me, became uninteresting when she stopped working with the Jeromes.

One of the 'benefits' of the block filming has been that Lucky and Liz are being treated as a B/C plot and as such have been able to come together organically.

How do you link block taping with organic pairing?

MB still delivers some emotion even if he has issues with his lines and comes off a bit lazy.

Same. Like I said above, his scenes with Kristina before him and Natalia went to L. A., MB was doing some subtle work with his mannerisms, body language, and words and I really appreciated it and seeing something different from him. I was impressed.

Brook Kerr could have been Keesha or Gia IMO.  You could have made Trina her daughter either way (obviously not with Taggert as the potential father in Gia's case lol).

It's crazy they didn't make TJ Tommy Hardy as well.

I would absolutely rest Donnell Turner until they are ready to pair Curtis with Laura for him 😂. So, by that, I obviously mean permanently.

I don't know if I could have seen Kerr as Keesha, but that is a role I'd welcome back! And yes, TJ should have been TJ Hardy Jnr. It's dumb they didn't. And yes, Turner can G-O, GO! Even though I've enjoyed the harder, more business guy vs. Drew, but I'm still okay with his EXIT!

I actually could see Kerr as Keesha, but maybe she looks too young?  Idk.  Keesha might be a hard sell as a Dr. too, but I am awful at wishful castings lol.

I think every now and then you see skill from Mo.  He's obviously not at his peak.  I just don't think we have ever seen actual acting skills from Tanisha.  I don't detest Jordan or anything and I am sure TH is a nice woman.  I just don't see the need for the character.

The show has so little interest in black characters (and seemed openly bitter at Trina becoming more popular with fans than they had anticipated), I'm kind of glad they didn't bring back past characters with new actors just to still not do anything with them.

I know around here (or at least to @Vee) the kid that played Oscar is considered the worst actor ever to appear on GH.  Was he really that bad?

Oh yeah.

Kerr would be appropriate age-wise; I just don't visually see her as Keesha in my mind. Plus, in one of the group pairings of a previous gallery shoot, Marcus Coloma (ex-Nikolas) and Kerr were standing next to each other, and that made me visually see Nikolas/Gia, and it worked in my mind.

As for Keesha, I could see someone like Kim Hawthorne in the role, or even a new talent?

I would think of it like how soaps used to introduce newbies. The newbies who used to go the distance and the audience would come to accept, are the ones who the writers introduce slowly. They were usually background or got a scene here or there. Months (6 to a year) later, the writers would give them story. Usually by that point, the audience will have gotten used to the newbie being around and interacting with their faves so the audience are more willing to accept them. Versus a newbie coming on and is forced down the audience's throat.

Since block taping usually lead to a delay in plot (given how FV set up scenes/episodes) and involves a select amount of cast members, it actually allows for the audience to get used to an idea/newbie/couple. Also the writing...cuz let's been real the New/Old Writers stay on slow burns for stories AND couples. Too much in fact. To the point the audience will accept something. Or not.

I think the best examples for this for me is Lucky/Liz. Love both actors, but we all know that is NOT the pairing I would want for Liz first. That said...they have not been really growing Lucky/Liz as a couple until Liz was in trouble due to Cyrus. Now they teamed up. However how they film and do their scenes is such a disservice cuz it pops up like some kind of C plot. However, because of that, Lucky/Liz as a pair has grown on me, resulting in that talk last week, their dance, and that almost kiss. Kudos. Due to taking so long to get to that point, I'm invested because writing aside, it came together organically. Rather than plot, plot, plot or being forced. I can lay that down in part to the filming.

I hate to say it, but I agree.

Trina could easily have been in a triangle with Gio and Kai by now. Instead, here comes Emma.

See, I don't think it is a lack of interest. Instead I think they just have a way they intend to use them & if we don't happen to like the place on the canvas that they've mapped out for them, tough.

I think it's a lack of interest and a fear of viewer backlash. I don't even think they have any strongly intended way of using most of their black characters.

I know some say this is down to her fans complaining about her not being with Spencer, but GH is fine with ignoring fan complaints. They just don't want to use Trina. They never have. I will be surprised if she's still around within a year.

I think BK is fine where she is. Portia has turned out to be a strong character for the hospital and Brook has been a commanding presence in the role, plus she has Trina. I'd kill Curtis and leave Portia where she is.

I would bring on Keesha and plenty of Wards (and put Portia with a new Justus). I'd just dump all the Ashfords except Trina, Portia and recurring Stella.
