I forgot Tamara Braun was still on the show. Ava must really have a fan somewhere to have lasted this long given how confused and aimless her arc has been.

I love Tamara Braun but Ava is a waste of her time, IMO.

It's very disappointing the lobotomy that the "writer" has given to Ava; Tamara Braun is a powerful actress, but it often feels like daytime doesn't realize it. From her all-too-short time as Reese on All My Children (so much untapped potential), to the ridiculous time as Taylor (should have never happened), and then the insult that was the Kim Nero saga on General Hospital. Even her brief 2015–2016 return as Ava was better-off than the past four-years. I'm honestly surprised they have not cut her, yet.

This is, by-and-large, her longest stint on a soap since her time as Carly on General Hospital.

They probably kept her bc the show was losing alot of female characters; from Chloe, Belle, to Nicole. 
 

Pairing her up with Brady really doesn’t make sense it, it’s like the writers just looked at the canvas and was like these two are single let’s hook them up. I will say that at least it’s better than Kristen and Brady, but that isn’t saying much

Agree that it appears to be a kind of a default setting. 

Do you feel like Bristen is doomed to never get back together? What she's done to him over the years. His pulling a gun on her just last year. Etc.

Character-wise, no it does not. But actor-wise? I love it!

I would’ve said f!ck it, let’s go with a Brady/Sarah/Xander triangle; just for sh!ts and giggles. 
 

I think the show needs to address Brady and his need to hop from one toxic relationship to another, and have him focus on being by himself for awhile but I know that’ll never happen lol

I don’t mind Brady and Ava, but I’m not really shipping them either. 

It’s definitely time to end this thing with Kristen though

Based on the clip, I went back to see why Belle would object to Brady dating Ava, and she's really done nothing to her directly.

However, I had forgotten how much history Ava and Kristen have together that seems to have been swept under the rug.  I'm surprised because RonC wrote a lot of their past scenes, and usually he is the king of exposition.  But, I feel like the deterioration of their friendship had been a missed beat in this whole triangle with Brady.

Certainly, they could use it to explain Ava motives to go after this doofus, who still lives with his parents.

And, because I enjoy it when they mix up scene partners, I'd love Ava and Jada to discuss being in a relationship with Rafe.  Jada comes into the Bistro, a bit frustrated by Rafe's attitude toward her job.  Ava commiserates, and they discuss the pro's and con's of dating such an upstanding citizen like Rafe.

The "thing" with Kristen should have never happened! She babysat him when he was 4, for God's sake, when involved with his father! And no way should Kristen have been able to conceive hellspawn Rachel, either.

I really did enjoy the first storyline in 2012-2013, but I’m just tired of it now.

Like I said before, the orchid thing should have the final nail in the coffin for Bristen.

That never bothered me since soaps screw around with ages the way they do. They certainly do not play Kristen as if she's that old. I think they're actually a hot, fun couple but I don't see how they could get past the awful things they've done to & about each other. They give co-parenting a bad name.
