I second @Antoyne. I too have been enjoying the X-mas episodes. But I've already mentioned that there has just been something about Christmas this year period. So the soaps having holiday episodes has been good to actually watch whether something is going on or not.

I said last week that if there was something that JG is going to do it was write for the Abbotts. I loved the Jack/Kyle scenes. And that little moment that Kyle had on the stairs (and MM was looking kinda mmmm. But that I credit to either MM starting his buff up process as well as the new costume designer) was nice. Loved the early presents and seeing Diane and Kyle have a moment with her letters. And Jack, Diane, and the jewelry. Just cute moments.

And I'm always going to be here for Ashley vs Diane. She just cannot let Diane breathe and I love it. lol. And Traci made 3. Those scenes were cute. But I expect Ashley to not let up though she will try.

OH STFU, GIGGLY HEFFA!!!! I loved Sharon FINALLY getting that bass in her voice and telling Phyllis to get out of her house. That was the Mal Young Sharon that was needed in that moment. And I didn't hate it. I also enjoyed that Daniel is slooooowwwwly coming around to seeing that Sharon might be right.

You know you are looking crazy when I am Team Billy and I loathe Billy. Get that redhead into another plot please.

I was about to throw something at my TV if Summer had broken up with Chance. My way of saying how invested I'm in in Chance/Summer. And just how CF looks at AL. I'm happy they talked it out. I just wish that Chance could be included more. And with this Sharon plot slowly coming to an end, I'm now worried he's going to up and vanish.

The only thing missing from that Phyllis/Sharon scene at her house was a good ol slap to the Giggly one who really had the nerve to barge into her house on Christmas Eve.

The drinks with Traci/Ashley/Diane were perfect. You know I was getting my life from Ashley’s reactions

Okay...now I am starting to get on board with the Daiman storyline. Could he be a self-made businessman and Nate and Amy just don't know? One bent on revenge? Cuz there is a void where Tucker and Ashland used to be for that spot. Though that immediate would give Daiman a limited shelf life if so. Or is it going to be something contrived like that backstory about Amanda and Hilary's dad...which I was not regularly viewing at that point? Or is he just a henchman for someone else bigger? Those were the things that came to mind watching the scenes in L.A. Well, that and the fact that I don't think (unless someone corrects me) that the weather there right now is any better than it is here in San Diego aka brrrrr.

Okay, you all are right. I was side-eying those scenes with Victor and Cole as well. What angle could Victor be working? Or is it a possibility since Cole will be in the publishing division that he might be clashing with Adam. And I just rolled my eyes at Adam/Chelesa, though I admit I did like MCE's acting in Chelesa's scenes with Victor.

I guess now that I am done with the week, I would say the new designer continues to dress everyone like it is wintertime in Genoa City. I don't feel like anyone has dressed out of sorts at all this week. And I would say that people are dressing in darker colors. And I don't mind it at all. MTS continues to look like a clotheshorse. And I continue to love her short hair. That said...I mentioned earlier that I wonder if the GH writers read this board due to some 2025 spoilers. I'm going to wonder the same for Y&R given the Nikki/Lauren scene about gratitude and spirituality which I don't post about here, but I don't mind having a fan on my pages.

Overall, I thought that was an enjoyable week.

LOL!!! SAME. I'm surprised that Sharon hasn't slapped her yet.

You were not alone on Ashley's reaction.

I have to third both @Taoboi and @Antoyne on their thoughts and sentiments.

The holiday episodes and really last two weeks have got that momentum back as well as having a lot of heart.

I can’t add much more because I pretty much agree with @Taoboi’s sentiments already expressed, especially on how nice and mature those Chance/Summer scenes were. Sure they’re in a difficult moment due to outside forces but still love and understand each other.

The New Year’s Eve episode was also great with the nice twist at the end!

Also I loved seeing a shocked Phyllis look like a total loser upon seeing Danny return and love on Christine right after mocking his absence to her. Serves her right lol!

I don't know about the momentum lol, but it IS moving again.

Yeah, I love having CF and I like Chance so it be annoying how he's been a bit missing during the tail half of this Sharon storyline when it was a nice supporting character and it was giving drama to the Chance/Summer relationship. It's also why I've started to side-eye the abrupt Summer side-eying at Kyle/Claire because I just knew it was not just co-parenting hatred.

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he fell to his death. So there was a supernatural element.
    • AI has it wrong. David was working as an aide at PV Hospital due to failing to save his brother's life and refusing to continue as a doctor. His true profession was revealed later. Edna had divorced him while he was in Vietnam and he had no reason to be in contact with her. He had no idea that he had a daughter.  Ruth was Ruth Martin, she was still married to Joe, not Jeff. He was not deceiving Ruth as he believed that Edna was his ex. The poisoning story happened late in his run and probably introduced when they knew Gleason was leaving. AI's interpretation of him as conniving seems to based on that short lived poisoning story and other misinformation. For most of 76 he was involved in the Ruth/Joe triangle to the point where Ruth was ready to divorce Joe and leave town. Joe had to have surgery, David operated and Ruth suddenly realized she wanted to stay with Joe despite all the problems they'd been happening. David then got involved with Christina with Jeff and then Edna as complications. And he arrived late 75 not 76.
    • Interesting that they started going into a supernatural direction with ghosts - I don't think they really did that before? I wonder if it was a response to getting put so late in the afternoon and I guess trying to appeal to that former Dark Shadows audience?
    • That makes sense then! Is there a place where you can read more Daytime Serial Newsletters? They sound very informative. Thank you

    • Yep. Access to the Vault works fine but upon downloading attempts an error message pops up.   Maybe it is just a temporary glitch.

    • Downloading isn't working at all.
    • I'm pretty sure this ep is  from Dec 73 From the Daytime Serial Newsletter Ian and Valerie Northcote are deeply concerned over Laurie's  life being increasingly dominated by hallucinations and fantasies about Georgina, the former owner of the house the Reddins recently bought and are now living in. Doreen Post (Linda Purl) was involved in that story .Perhaps she was going to be revealed as Georgina's daughter? Wonder how that story evolved and whether it was wrapped up before cancellation? and thanks to @skylark

    • Thank u so much! I love that show and the more I see of it the more I want to find more of it even if it’s just in script form. But that house and especially the room looked like Victoria Winters room from dark shadows lol  this was great find! Thanks
