Found it really bizarre to end today's show on Brennan instead of on Cody.

Brennan is a bizarre and pointless character as is.

I see Hat Dad got a new hat 😂😂

I also think that they’re making too much out of this Anna shot Charlotte thing. It seems similar to the way that they blew up the whole Nina tipped off the SEC thing into something more than it should have been.

And yeah, Drew is just creepy. I wanted him and Willow just to bang, not actually fall in love. And I don’t want that even more now because of the way their relationship has been written lately. This storyline had so much potential and they’re squandering it all with such stupid choices. The transitions between writers also screwed it up a lot too, IMO

Just saw the Cameron and Lucky reunion and disappointed. It seems they no longer look a each other as father and son. I was hoping Cam would have had tension with him and a conversation about how Lucky failed him

This soap (and most soaps today tbh) have a very difficult time reconciling adoptive parent vs. biological parent relationships. Once the bio-parent returns to the picture they act like that was the only adult in a child's life. Cam called Lucky his father for many years but they don't really acknowledge that now because Cam's not around much. Further, it's awkward for them because they made Cameron very close to Franco in the interim to try to sell Roger Howarth to the audience. They also now act like Ric never had any relationship with little Kristina, and have all but forgotten Jax being very close to Carly's sons.

They've done the same thing over time with Jake and Drew. They were very, very close when BM was in the role and when Drew informed him he wasn't his father after all the boy was beside himself. Today that close relationship is nonexistent. Hudson West to his credit pulled out considerable emotion and tears again when CM's Drew was stabbed in prison a couple years ago, but that's the last time I remember the relationship even being acknowledged. And why is it ignored? Because Jason is back, and it's awkward for the show and inconvenient for Jason. They don't know how to deal with nuance in families beyond biology most of the time, and they assume the audience is too old or stupid to remember.

It really takes any fun out of Drew/Willow/Nina when Drew/Willow think they are in love.  It would be way better if they just were really hot for one another.   Now it's boring and they can go away.

I don't mind their horny delusions. It's good soap when it crashes down. But this whole saga has been so rushed and squandered ever since PM was shown the door. It could run a long time.

I wonder how much of the in love turn is from Chad Duell leaving.

And Nina will go under the bus soon enough, I'm sure.

I just watched a clip of Liz telling Cam that Franco is dead (which seems to have been filmed through a potato) - what an overwrought, trite mess. I will give Lipton credit for going all out, even if I thought he was going to burst out laughing (or maybe that was just me).

The show barely even tried to do anything with Jake and Jason this year before shipping him off.

What an utterly pointless return this has been. There is something amusing about starting the year with a publicity photo of Carly, Jason and Sam and ending it with Jason being passed down to Sasha for lack of any other ideas.

I think the Anna thing is still in play, but yes, both are desperate last resorts.

Why they sent Jake off is beyond me other than BTS bias, probably Korte-related re: her preferred characters and their relationships to Jason.

If she is the one who wants us to be moved by Joss/Jason and sees his relationships with his kids as a threat, good luck with that.

That's valid.  I just find it so trite when Willow hangs on Drew's every word like it's gold.  I hope it all falls apart catastrophically.   Her saying she doesn't even know Michael anymore?  Willow is hopelessly dumb.  At least Ric gets it and is laughing at them.  And I rarely have a good thing to say about Ric.

It is deeply stupid for Joss to have two dead boyfriends so young. Dex couldn't have gone off to train with the FBI or WSB? Sent her a Dear Jane letter? It's not that hard. It must be exhausting for Eden to do this stuff too on the heels of her recent iRL losses.
